FYI: Here is an email I sent to gameloft and the reply. Hope this helps some people, sure made me happy!
Hello Aaron,
Games will be available for your Evo shortly through and Gameloft.com, the Sprint Zone icon that appears on the home screen of your device.
We hope to have them live in the next two weeks.
Thank you for your continued support

Subject: Android Games
Hello,
I recently bought a Sprint HTC Evo and I want to buy some gameloft games for it because I LOVE gameloft games I have a bunch on my Palm Pre. Anyways, when I go to the website the only option is for Verizon droid, Do I just select that even though Im on Sprint? If not how do I buy and download some gameloft games?
Sounds pretty good

just a random q... How good is the gpu on the evo? Will we just get the standard gameloft ports or actual games made specifically for it like the iphone?

the iPhone is a different beast...limited hardware specs to design for allows games to be designed for just it. Android is such a diverse market, I would doubt games would be designed "just for the evo". The Evo's market share isn't THAT big.
However, a number of newer android devices *are* getting good graphics chips in them (including the evo) and there are already games out there that have stated they will not work well on older hardware (Pre-N1 basically).
Thanks for the info...;
Just wondering since I had not heard to much discussion about it.. Personally I think those gameloft games are usually junk.. lets see though

Some of them are really good, Westside (It's like Grand Theft Auto) And Hero of Sparta are pretty awesome, Gameloft actually has some of the best games out there for phones. I just don't understand why they wont put them on the marketplace instead of only selling them through thier website they would sell tons more if more people knew about them and they could easily get them from the marketplace.
I've been playing dungeon hunter all day... Works great.

I don't know why they don't use the market either, or have demos.

gameloft games r not gonna b as good as the iphone's gameloft games for the evo.iphone has its own seperate GPU for 3d games thats y gameloft games on iphone r pretty heavy IPA files from 50mb to 200 mega bytes and very quality 3d graphics, i just WISH that HTC one day puts its own GPU as well, for the heavy 3d games.
hey i just hit gameloft.com from my evo and there are a bunch of games now available for purchase, 5 bucks each. it's not all of the android games though, missing dungeon hunter for example. but looks like u can get nova and gangstar
I think flash games work awesome on the HTC Evo Shift 4G, please go here for some recommended games:

Can I use this rom http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1092957 on my EVO?
no, you can't
Aye guys, haven't been able to be around much on here, but I saw the commercial for Xperia Play on verizon and decided to research it since I'm one of those people that got the epic for the keyboard to game with, so obviously the Play interests me lol.
I can't find any Epic Vs Play reviews though, so I'll ask XDA haha.
I notice the play has a Snapdragon, is it the same one as in the Evo? And I never heard of the graphics chip in the Play, does it beat out the one in our Epic?
I'm epic biased just like I'm sure most of you here on our epics forum are but I'm looking for honest opinions, so look past our love for our epics for a Sec and answer legitimately please
So do you guys think the Play will be a disappointment coming from the Epic or an improvement? (Speed wise and otherwise as well, give your reasons why or why not also).
Thanks.
I think your best bet would be to go into bestbuy and play with one but imo id pick thee epic everytime.

I think the play uses an adreno gpu.
It was outdated when it was released. It was a great concept but the internals killed it.
Specwise, epic is better in every category.
Gaming was one of the reasons i bought the epic, but it wasnt the only one. If youre gonna get the play, you better make sure you have a **** ton of games
Actually i dont even think theres emulators anymore BECAUSE of the play. I think the only way to play games is with the official ps store on the phone itself

Thanks for the comments guys, yeah the gamepad isn't worth downgrading internal hardware.
Is there any word of any new phones coming out with a gamepad but with updated hardware?
Sad the Fascinate is better than the Play yet the Fascinate is $50 cheaper lol gotta love marketing..
Heres what i got to say look at sam caplats review on the xperia play it sucks, and heres another thing verizon expensive bill vs cheap bill on sprint.
Unlimited vs Fake Unlimited From VZ
Just thought id share this information and is it has helped me so much cut down on the time it takes to flash my evo.
use the evo 3d method of flashing phones for the evo.
i have tried this method and can confirm it works with:
evo 4g
evo 3d
evo shift
incredible
it beats having to scan memory locations and zero them out. i can now flash a phone in 15 minutes instead of 45.
hope this was helpful.
