i've just been noticing throughout my use of this phone that when listening to audio there is slight distortion feedback/hiss. i notice this primarily when the headphones are plugged in and when listening to the keypad sounds and when the music is relatively quiet.
is anyone else having this issue? and does anyone know of any fixes or whether or not this will be addressed in an update?
Yes it is awful and if you jack up the headset output setting, it gets worse.
does anyone know if this is an issue that can even be addressed in a software update?

I have searched the thread for other similar issues but mine seems to be unique?
Occasionally if I put the rear speaker to my ear I can hear a hissing sound, and more often than not when it's doing that I get no audio notifications for incoming texts or email.
Others have reported hissing when listening with headphones that lasts for one or two seconds after a system sound, but with my handset it last for a couple of minutes and prevents other sounds from coming to the surface!
Anyone else having this problem?
Any known cause/solution?
no one getting the same issue then?

I noticed for the past couple of days that the sound is louder from the left speaker than the right. Since I watch a lot of videos, it is starting to get really annoying to the point I'd rather wear headphones. Anyone else seeing this issue? Is there a fix?
I'm experiencing issues with some earphones using my CX500 the right earphone does not sound. And then I have have tried the stock earphones and phone it works but sometimes the right side is quite and then sometimes perfect?
Anyone else got any issues? Sound like my plug could be bad? Time to contact Samsung?
Edit: Very odd, software glitch. Reboot its fixed itself
Hi everyone,
I have been experiencing a lot of crackling when on phonecalls, it turns into a high pitched kind of screeching sound. When I use my headset I experience the same issue. It is possible to hear this when playing videos as well.
I haven't done much testing with the loud speaker, but haven't noticed it then.
I'm wondering if anyone has experienced a similar problem.
Am I dealing with a faulty front speaker unit? Does that even have any affect on the headset jack?
Or am I dealing with some kind of faulty soundchip ?
Any possible solutions?
Thank you.
Does anyone else have an issue with the audio cutting out when the volume is up high when using headphones? For example, during a phone call, if things get loud, the audio will start popping.
Something's telling me that I may have to RMA, but other than that, I have no other issues. Screen is perfect and I don't want to lose that.
I have the same issue
