Burned the kernel of Damien everything works well, very fast.
The problem is I put my USB suddenly not visible external SD card.
What could be the reason
Make sure your external SD card is mounted. Go to Settings > SD Card and phone storage.
You should see the total space and available space if it is properly mounted.
If not, then there will be an option "Mount SD card". Tapping this one will mount it and you should be back to normal.
Also, maybe a bad SD Card?
You could try to plug it on another phone, or using an adapter to plug it on a PC/laptop so you can test it.
Kernel of hardcore everything works normal, it does recognize the external memory
Help Please ..
This is a rom/driver(PC) issue.

You can also try different drivers like android sdk USB driver. They are better.

Hey guys,
I am on CM7 i was on 7.0.2 official version. i downloaded and installed the beta update from dalingrin's so i am no on:
Cyanogenmod-7.1.0-RCO-encore-KANG
I then installed the OC kernel that i was under the impression should overclock to 1.2 but when i try to overclock in the CM7 settings, the most it will let me choose is 925. i'm wondering if i'm missing something?
i used the following zip for the kernel:
update-CM7-dalingrin-OC-sd-052311.zip
any help would be appreciated, i would post in the actual thread but i don't have enough posts.
thanks
EDIT: All fixed, needed to download and install the eMMC version so that it would install to internal memory instead of trying to boot off the sd card.
First off, glad you posted in the right section Already ahead of the curve!
So, did you install the beta to and SD or internal memory? I assume internal memory, in which case you need to download the OC that has eMMC in the title (which is the internal memory).

The zip for OC when you have CM7 installed to eMMC (internal memory) is update-CM7-dalingrin-OC-emmc-052311.zip
OC-sd nomenclature is for those who have CM7 installed and booting off their SD card, instead of just using it for storage space.

Hi!
There is an option on Virtuous Picasso v. 1.0.8 rom that let us safely remove external storage and SD card.
Is there any way to add this option to stock rom or any application to do that?
I've searched the forum and noting have found.
Thank you!
Star80 - Can you even "see" the External SD card in Virtuous Picasso v. 1.0.8? I was using v. 1.0.7 can could "see" the card on the Task Bar. and even had the option to remove it. I upgraded to v.1.0.8 and lost that option, so I fell back to v.1.0.7.
I've tried several 3.1 ROMS since and most don't give you that indicator or option to remove.

hi folks.
here's the thing. i just flashed miui 2.1.13 .32 kernel. and when i go to file explorer, i can only see my internal sd card. no matter what program i use... same. AND when i pull out extrenal sd card, phone says that there is NO sd card inserted. but when i put it back in, everything is back to same.
help? thank you
try to push the card slightly to one side or the other. That happened to me too and it was the card that wasn't making contact with the phone.
I got the solution with X5-Setting. Here ist a option for internal or external Card

awesome that helped thank you
I'm running .35 kernel, and have noticed that the last few releases of MIUI wont mount the external SD card after a shutdown & startup. It says the SD card is corrupted & needs to be formatted. I even exchanged the SD card for a new one and I still kept getting the problem. I found that rebooting the phone fixes the problem - the SD is now mounted. So it seems to only be a problem after doing a full shutdown - not a restart.
Managed to kill one of my sdcards in the latest miui, it got dced al the time and now i cant write, delete or format it. Have tried it on my laptop without luck. So be careful

Hi,
I have the same problem! If I power on the smartphone from a full shutdown my sdcard (the external one, 16 GB Sandisk) is not mounted, then if I restart the X5 Pro, Android mount correctly my external sdcard.
For this reason I wanted to change sdcard (before I had a Sandisk 4GB) with a new Sandisk 16GB sdcard. The problem is still here
How can I fix this problem?
I flashed a lot of different roms, based on B512, B540, custom gingerbread 2.3.4, Gingerbread by Genokolar, porting U8860 Huawei Honor for X5Pro, CyanogenMod 7.1 but I have always the same problem.
Please developers, find a solution because it is not a nice bug.
Regards,
kalo86
Experiencing the same problem on my U8800, MIUI 2.1.20, 2.6.35 kernel. After shutdown, the sdcard will not mount. Have to reboot to get it to work again.
Hi, I have the same problem and for this reason I opened a new thread discussing this bug.
Have a look here and vote the poll please

Did you try that on Windows tools or with Unix tools?
Hi, i have just started to use Android on my HTC HD2 (EU 512MB). Ifirst flashed the V2.0 of the nexus HD2 ROM with Tytungs kernel and later changed to the actual Version NexusHD2-ICS-4.0.4-CM9-HWA V2.1 (Kernel: tytung_HWA_r2.3-uniMAC) because of the known high battery drain.
The new Version is really great. It runs extremly smooth. I also use a class 10 16GB Micro SD Card from Lexar and have app to SD Installed. My Problem now is that i can`t get any sound, or extreme low sound volume from the acustic feedback when i press a softbutton on the screen (surely the option is enabeled in the menue). The haptic feature is also enabeld an running. Does anyone know how to fix this Problem?
Please tell more information as it didnot mention in your post
Did u do a clean install? --> if not u might have to do that.
Did u install any of the A2SD script?
I want to know where to find the softkeys?

That sounds like the "low sound problem" that results from using A2SD on ICS ROMs. Look into the A2SD-thread in this forum for solutions or simple re-flash your ROM and use Link2SD from market instead of an A2SD script.
If you moved the dalvik cache to the extend, move it back to the intern storage.

I made a clean install (Task29, installed MAGLDR, Set Partition to 200/5MB) I installed 40ad2sdx-a2Recovery. I also tried with Fix Permissions. Everything else runns perfectly, only the sound feedback for the pressed buttons is not running.
I have been using IDEOS X5 U8800 for a good deal of time and it has been running smoothly with MIUI-Elite ROM X1.35 at 1GHz.
A few days ago, without special changes, the battery went flat and switched itself off, so I left it charged overnight.
The next day I turned on the phone and all was good, EXCEPT the internal SD card was not found.
I never used an external SD card, but when I inserted it, it was being detected OK.
So I am worrying if the internal SD partition was entirely lost.
I tried different settings in that "X5 settings by Stgockwell 2011" that switches between Internal SD, External SD, Enable UMS on secondary storage device. Then I rebooted tin Recovery Mode with mounting for USB option. All no good.
Will anyone please give me some insight on how to re-enable the drive and/or retrieve the data? Thanks so much in advance....
After looking around by using ES Explorer I found the photos are located in /HWUserData/DCIM/Camera
however SDCARD or SD-EXT are still not accessible.
Sorry for the freaked out, but I am not sure if they are backup or what. So how I can mount these data back? Thank you.
I had a similar problem, installing stock 2.2.2 rom did the job and corrected the failure. After that i installed b158 and miui 2.33 v3 .35 working flawlesly.
