I need HTC G2 "BLUE PRINTS", Help me? - G2 and Desire Z General

I need the blue prints for at least the specific area boxed in green. I'm planning to make a project for every one here at xda but I need your help. The project isnt that great but I would still like to share it once I have pictures.
So can anyone please make or find a blue print for the specific part in the picture?
It has to be the accurate size as a life sized G2.
I need the cut outs to be perfect if you dont mind.

If someone posted actual blueprints up on xda, HTC would probably sue their ass off. I'm sure they're discussed under NDA. Probably the only way to find out what's in there is to crack out the multimeter and the screwdriver good luck lol
Sent from my T-Mobile G2 running Cyanogenmod.

Here's a link I found to someone who did a near full teardown of the DZ:

Somebody explain why my Bodyglove case sucks?

I have been lurking around here for about a month since I got my vibrant and keep seeing posts about TPU (is that right?) cases being so much better than the body glove cases, and that BG just sucks.
I mean, the power button is a bit hard to get to at times and the whole thing is a tad bulky, but I'm in the market for the toughest case in town....i have a track record of destroying any mobile electronics, specifically cell phones, in just a few months time
So can somebody tell me what I'm missing out on? Just curious about options I guess
Sorry for typos and errors, sent from using swype

Can you post a link? If it had been done proper. Id think it would be sticky someplace.
Doubt it.

OK.
I looked at all of them.
NONE are proper tear downs. Close up pics on all chips. PCB. etc.
Like i did for the vibrant (Samsung galaxy S)
NEXTT!
This comes from FrostCS from g2root:

Now, this is a PROPER tear dow!
Bump for a mod to stickie this. Or move to android dev and stickie.
Thanks mods.
How about some details of the hinge? so maybe we can replace the spring or something for a tighter hinge.
Nice work, do you plan on tearing down the other half? I'd like to know if the screen bezel can be seperated without breaking stuff.

Here is a teardown of the Desire Z from the Desire Z forum, that place seemed much less populated than here because Desire Z is yet to be widely available
and I guess few people here often go there
this is the most detailed tear down I have ever seen, and should be taken as the textbook curriculum for cracking the device
it also showed that they are all the same, they use the same nand

Reviving an old HTC

Well, I'm about to buy a HTC HD2 (the t-mobile version) to repair it, (like a hobby thing), anyway, the phone seems to have the LCD broken, the digitizer seems ok (but as far as I know they aren't expensives, like U$S 15), So here are the questions:
I want to buy the LCD replacement, but I'm not sure which one (I know I have to buy the T-mobile version) but some seems to require soldering a connector, and others don't, also do I need special tools for opening the cellphone? Is there any guide on the internet that you could recommend me? and how much should I paid for the Lcd? any other advice? Thanks!
edit: I forgot the [Q] on the title.. can't edit it, sry I'm new
you can probably open it without using special tools, altough you will need T9 screw drive if im correct, here's a video of official assembly/disassembly video leaked by HTC. pocketnow[dot]com/hardware-1/official-htc-hd2-disassembly-assembly-training-videos-leaked
LCD and digitizer is glued together, theres a video there showing how to take it apart i think.
Good Luck!

Yeah sorry about that. I just spent like at least twenty minutes to get that link to work and for some reason it just would not so I just copied and pasted the URL. I have never had that problem....... Aghhhhhhh. Anyway sorry again.
Well, thanks for the warm welcome! and about the price to pay for the screen + digitalizer? 80 U$S is alright? (if, it can be told) and thanks again for the info, in a few months I'll post some before and after screens
Oh, and by the way, I don't have a T-Mobile Sim card, Will I be able to unlock the phone? thanks.

Stratosphere II (SCH-I415) Teardown/Analysis

So, there's no Strat II forum, so I hope this is the right place. For those interested, I did a teardown and analysis of the chips on the Strat II mainboard.
jdshewey.blogspot.com/2013/09/stratosphere-ii-sch-i415-teardown.html
If anyone has some tips on getting a USB jig to work with this thing or UnBrickable mod, I would be much obliged. Otherwise, it's a new board for me

Just wanted to say thanks for the tear down and corresponding link! As you know, there is VERY little development going on for our device and I'd love to hear anything else you may have to contribute on the subject, including if and how you may have managed to unbrick. Good luck!

Well, I'm not unbricked yet. I did find this thread the other day:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1856327
Since we know the CPU on the Strat II is the MSM8960, this becomes VERY useful. I ordered a replacement main board the other day, so once it arrives I am going to run dmesg on it to find out if the USB controller supports the Jig. If so, it probably means we have the ICS bootloader (see http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1402286). We'll find out when it gets here!
Unroot?
Hi, I was wondering if there was a way to unroot. I rooted with system.img.ext4, but now lost ability for wifi and bluetooth. In addition, I tried uninstalling something (system ui or something like that) and now lost the status (notification) bar at the top.
Is there a way to get it back to original image/rom? Please let me know. Thanks.

Need a repair

If this is the wrong place to post this I apologize and please let me know where to post or kindly move the post.
Long and short no device protection plan at all. Looking for someone experienced from the community to replace the display. Looks like the glass isn't broken. It looks like the LCD/digitizer died. Phone fell (in case). Doesn't light up at all except for the flashlight but appears to turn on etc. power button is a bit mangle as well. If someone can give me an idea where to look or a ball park price I'd be grateful.
I've looked online and I do not have the skill to try this one myself.

Check this place out,https://www.replacebase.co.uk/ all oem parts and do most parts needed for the nexus 6p, i think its about 120 ish pound for a new lcd and miframe assembly.
hope that helps
Thanks for the tip. I'm not in the U.K. and I'm looking for someone who's done this kind of repair before. From what I've read and seen it's not an "easy" job.

Well, to start with you may get more helpful replies if you put your location and carrier in your profile, making them visible so people know where you're from rather than saying "thanks, but I'm not from the UK".
I meant no disrespect to anyone. I'm in the us (Pennsylvania). Phone was direct from Google/Huawei and was being used on att.
Thanks for suggesting I add that info. I didn't think about it.

It's cool.. none taken! There's no harm in putting your home town in your profile. There are a LOT of ppl on XDA and someone may know a good local repair shop in your immediate area. Best of luck.
Order the lcd and try the repair yourself, the hardest part is opening the thing, when mine broke, i ordered the lcd and a new housing which came with everything i needed, once it is opened the swapping of stuff over was the easy part, but as i was replacing the the lcd and housing, i didnt mind damaging the existing housing to get the thing apart, and when i was finished i had a brand new looking phone and only took around an hour or so to do it, youtube has some good videos on it. A new housing isnt expensive and you can learn a bit about your phone aswell. i made mine into a black and silver version. lol
