Anyone else having problems with the volume when the phone is in the HD Dock? The volume will be fine one second, and then become almost inaudible the next. It mainly happens when I'm playing back music on the android interface while browsing with firefox.

the default level of the music player is too high, even though you turn the device volume to the lowest level. any way to modify it?
Hey,
I know it isn't a software solution, but check this out,
http://www.headphoneworld.com/p/Shure_Volume_Control_Attenuator.htm
I'm thinking about getting it as I hate having to take my phone out and don't like the way I can't drop percent at a time on the system volume buttons when listening to music.
With this device you can run the phone volume as normal, and control the signal to the headphones, proportionally without pulling the phone out.

Actually, as i play more with the HD, i found that when use the setting of TF 3D to adjust the volume, it can reach to the 0% but still outputing a small volume of sound,
that's nice, i can more enjoy the music when my surrounding is quiet.
just share, hope to be useful for you
During this week that I've been using the Q at my home I've found that it sometimes does not hold a consistent volume when it's being used, mostly when using youtube and playing music
At first it would be playing alright, but then it would suddenly lower the volume gradually until its muted (while the song/video is still playing), and changing the volume a bit would cause it to go all the way back or even higher than what it was..
Anyone else that already has a Q with the same problem?
sound is a huge part of any cell phone!!!
I've been using mine quite a bit since getting the application working last week and haven't noticed any of these problems. I do have a problem with the Google Play Music application not properly playing the tracks I want though. For instance I chose Artists - The Beatles - All Songs, chose a song to play and put it on shuffle but it's shuffling all tracks, not just The Beatles as I selected. This may be because I'm using two different devices (Xoom and Bionic) to control it at times but I'm not sure about that. I will have to reboot it and only use one device and see if I get the same results.
Wife has a GT-I9505G Google Edition phone we purchased from Google Play back in October. Bone stock (4.4.2, Baseband: I9505GUEUCML4, Build: KOTH49H.S001.131204), no root, nothing special installed.
When she goes to increase the volume, we hear 2 "volume increase" noises. They're very close together and very fast. This _only_ happens when she increases the volume. When you hit the VOL DOWN key, it plays the single, standard sound. This is annoying. Has anyone else seen this??
Also, when she has her headphones on (pair of Scoche with inline remote and mic, built for iPhones) and she adjusts the volume up or down, you can hear the volume adjust sounds in the headphones, but also from the phone itself. The same goes for when a call comes in, or Hangout. The Notification sound is played on the phone and headphones. She doesn't want that behavior. If the headphones are plugged in, the notification should only go over the headphones. (On further research, this "feature" appears to be deliberate. Some have tried SoundAbout to fix this behavior).
IPhone head sets are not compatible with android phones. The configuration of the pins are different.

The headphones work as headphones and the mic also works during phone conversations. So that statement isn't fully true. I know the internals of the remote are different which is why "Made for iPhone" headphones don't 100% work on Android devices. The middle button of the 3 can do play/pause. The Vol Up/Down buttons do not work. This is all due to the internals of the remote, and not the "pins" on the headphones. There is a way to modify "Made for iPhone" headphones to work with Android.
Still, it seems the issue about Notification Sounds being played through the headphones _and_ phone speaker isn't really an issue. It's designed to function in that manner. Many people don't like this design (and I can see a case for and against it) so there are apps on the Play Store to "fix" it. We're using SoundAbout now and it did fix that issue.
The other issue still remains, and that's the problem where you hit VOL UP and most times, you'll get a double VOL UP sound. VOL DOWN gives the standard one sound, but VOL UP, gives 2 really fast. That's annoying.
Last night, we discovered that certain apps (when running in the background) will only display the MEDIA VOLUME when you hit the VOL UP/DOWN buttons. Specifically, when we had Bejeweled Blitz running in the background, the MEDIA VOLUME would be the only option for volume control. When we closed BB, it took several seconds for Android to give us the phone volume instead of media volume. I'm thinking the only solution will be to unlock her phone, and install root, then several XPosed modules to give her more functionality.

My D800 LG G2 mutes sounds like game music or music from Spotify when it is charging. The only way to get sound back while charging is to reopen the app... but even then, the sounds will mute again after about 10 seconds. I don't have any issues with sound unless it's charging. Using headphones is no problem, music continues to play through headphones without any muting at all. There is also a noticeable lag in changing volume level (just based on watching the volume slider), charging vs not charging. Does anyone have this issue?
Edit:
Just looked it up again under different key words, it seems like this might be a Lollipop issue?
Hey guys
I just registered because I experienced some problems with my recently bought nexus 6p. I really like this phone but as soon as I start listening to music using headphones the bugs are invading my phone since I didn't find anything on Google I start this thread.
But let's get to my problem:
I plug in my headphones and start playing music (using blackplayer and Google music). When the screen is turned on the volume turns down itself (I can see the volume bar going down to zero like I'm pressing the button). Also sometimes the powerbutton stops working and I have to restart my phone long pressing the power button.
But also when the screen is turned out I experience some problems. One of the most annoying ones is that music stops and starts randomly (but only when headphones are plugged in!!!). The other bug is music stopping, display turns on and some female voice tells me "Bitte warten! (please wait)" and the screen is gray saying "initializing".
Has someone experienced similar problems? What could help? If you guys need any more information just tell me
I have none of these problems. Have you tried a different set of headphones?
Change your headphones or ensure that they're set up properly. I'm guessing they're wired.
I'm also running into this same issue. I have the latest updates on my phone. This happens about 25 minutes in to listening to media. I've heard that disabling "OK Google detection" fixes it. This hasn't worked for me.
Sounds like wired headphones with a faulty connection to the phones, or faulty buttons on the headphones. I have seen similar behavior with just a wired connection to an AUX Input. The connection on the wire was faulty and due to changing resistance, it looked to the phone like headphone buttons were being pressed. Could also be a fault at the headphone jack on the phone, but it was not in my case. Definitely try other headphones to help narrow down the issue.
