I tried it Odin isn't recognize the device.
He's not in download mode anymore, this is just the phone telling you it doesn't have a connection to a machine to get boot informaion from and that there is no firmware to boot it self from.
Do a battery pull and read one of the other 99 threads with the same title as yours.

I did they all say pull the battery and hold both volume keys till you get into Download Mode (which isn't happening) then flash a new ROM. And those post are for other galaxy devices haven't seen one for the Epic.
what did you do before this happened?

You don't hold down the volume keys on the epic. You open the keyboard and hold the 1 key and the power at the same time. That will put you into download mode. Than odin should recognize your device.

Reboot computer and phone. Try a different USB port, try a different USB cable. Phone MUST be in download mode for this to work. Keep trying, if it fails, exit Odin, open it again and keep trying. Be sure to unplug and replug the USB cable between Odin attempts.
Some people have had success by removing the SD card prior to using Odin.
Keep trying, it can take multiple attempts before it works.
Its working Thanks your the best...

issues with Odin
I ran into a lot of issues getting Odin to flash the stock ROM on my Epic, including Odin errors, and Odin hanging on " SetupConnection..", but here's what I did to finally get this to work:
-pulled battery and SD card from Epic
-launched Odin just after a reboot of PC
-plugged into PC via USB and held power and the 1 key to get Epic into download mode (SD card and battery still pulled)
-used PIT: victory_8G_100528.pit
-used tar (in PDA section): SPH-D700-DG27-8Gb-REL.tar
-only had the option "auto-reboot" selected
With this scenario, I was finally able to get my Epic back to stock. Thanks to everyone who posted before me on this subject.
On a side note, I'm not 100% whether or not my phone was bricked, but it wouldn't get past the initial Samsung boot screen after I had tried to install some non standard software.
i keep gettin this error below does anyone know how to fix it?

You didn't have your tab in download mode. Completely power off your tab. Then at the same time push power and volume down and hold until black screen has a yellow image. That is download mode, and now, start odin, and connect your tab. One of the rectangles will turn yellow and say COM....You are ready to flash!
I attempted the Jellyblast v3 custom rom on my rooted galaxy y, but it seems i made an error and now my phone seems to be bricked. When I try to reboot it i just get the repeated 'S' logo. I tried using odin to flash the stock rom but it fails every time and i get this:

I suppose it's the file that contain the list of partitions, is it correct?

Yes, you can find it in the forum
If your phone suddenly stopped booting then you probably have a hardware failure.
Finally, with the new TWRP 3.1.1-2-Dreamlte I have already been able to flash the G950FXXU1AQG5_G950FOXM1AQG5_PHE version and NO STEP NOTHING, it continued to work without the annoying brick later with that TWRP to put a SUPERSU is seconds thing.

Hey,
They just adapt the bootloader AQG5 with TWRP haha
But what about the prblems coming along with AQG5
thankfully we finally got able to root our AQG5 but am I the only one who is facing some serious issues?
basically i'm facing two issues with are mention down bellow
1: viper4android is not working! in fact when I install it the whole (media) sound of device simply gets muted till I uninstall it!
2: lucky patcher is making my phone roboot everytime I start the app
is it only me or is there anyone else also facing the same issue?
any help regarding any of the above problem would be amazing
lets hope they get solved soon!
otherwise whats the point of rooting itself

Hi, the only thing that has to be very, but that very important is that the TWRP 3.1.1-1-Dreamlte works correctly until the version G950FXXU1AQF7 and for higher versions like the 950FXXU1AQG5 you have to use the TWRP 3.1.1-2- Dreamlte.
FLASHING ONE IN THE PLACE OF THE OTHER VERY BAD .... BRICK:crying:
Another thing.
TWRP 3.1.1-2-Dreamlte recognizes the OTR USB, the version TWRP 3.1.1-1-Dreamlte does not recognize it.

First make sure you uninstalled all Viper4Android related files and apps. Install the .apk file from the attachment (do not open it after install). Then open Magisk manager and install the Viper4Android module. After the reboot your viper4android will probably work.
