I'm still working on a few things on the changes I'm making with the log file that is created when comparing two PRLs but I have finished the analysis of a PRL.
Let me know if you see any corrections of SIDs, EV Subnets, etc.
I will be updating this website with change logs and analysis' as soon as I have them.

I noticed the new 76 prl is a little bit bigger in size than normal..
Ha! This is just the kind of thing I've been looking for! Thank you for doing this.
This is a little off topic, but has anyone had trouble updating their PRL? Since upgrading to EB13, my phone seems to be stuck on "The network is updating your PRL. Please wait" message
I was looking through and noticed some carriers have a higher priority over others. Is there any way to edit the prl to prioritize networks differently?

That would be awesome, but it has 'trouble' written all over it.
I finished up some changes on the app to correctly show the changes between the PRLs.
The 60675 to 60676 change log is up.
I'll keep up with the PRLs and post them to the site as the new PRLs come up.

My phone stayed a long time on that pop_up screen but then it stated that it needed to reset the radio in order to apply the changes. It disabled my radio and just stayed like that... after a few min, i saw that it wasnt coming back, so i set the phone in airplane mode and disabled the airplane mode and got working.
Thats never happened to me in the past.....

Those would be cool to also have but many times they do not tell the full story such as in 60674 they added all the Sprint evdo channels to a lot of the roaming sids so if you force roam your phone will use sprint evdo and the roaming sid for voice and sms.

I did, so I tried flashing back to DI18 to see if froyo was the problem. The downgrade didn't help. On my second call to sprint, the tech tried reseting the switch for my phone. That fixed the problem and I can update my PRL on EB13 (stock) now.
Before the fix, every update resulted in an "internal error" or an "unknown error". Also, I was having the same isue with profile updates.

Well usually what they tell us is what cities were changed and why they were changed. Like 75 was for Michigan and Alabama because a contract ended with another roaming company and Sprint didn't renew it.
Thanks for doing this..
Two things we were given at Sprint. Also attached is a detailed list of what exactly changed and what counties in the states. Don't tell anyone you got it from me
"Effective 3/1/11: CDMA Network Coverage Changes for MT, ND and WY
Strategic Roaming Alliance (SRA) provides seamless Sprint like experience for customers in parts of Montana, North Dakota and Wyoming. CDMA customers living in or traveling through these areas do not have a roaming indicator displayed on their devices, are billed as on-network usage, and are not treated through the Heavy Roaming Program.
On 3/1/11, this SRA coverage will change to off-network/roaming coverage.
All CDMA customers were notified of the coverage change in their January and February invoices via a bill message.
This will be an ETF waivable event only for subscribers who have used service in these areas in the last six months. Account notes will be placed at the BAN level when there are subs on the account that qualify for ETF waiver.
The website www.sprint.com/coveragechange is available for reps and customers to view the coverage changes.
"Preferred Roaming List (PRL) Release for MT, ND and WY
Sprint will release PRLs ending in xxx76 to servers on Tuesday, 3/1/11. As mentioned in the 2/23/11 News article
Customers traveling in these areas will still have access to voice and 1xRTT data roaming, however, Mobile Broadband/3G roaming will no longer be available.
Sprint will release the above PRLs ending in xxx76 to servers on Tuesday March 1st . These PRLs will
provide: Changes to Strategic Roaming Alliance (SRA) coverage in several counties (below) *Montana, North Dakota and Wyoming. This SRA coverage will change to roaming (off–network) coverage (effective 3/1/11). Map view of the changes before/after changes is included in the Newsflash.
1. This PRL will turn the roaming light on and usage will be billed as roaming. A separate
marketing initiative has taken place to notify customers of this change in January 2011. You
can read more about the initiative on the Quick Reference Brief on your Sales Portal.
2. Customers traveling in these areas will still have access to voice and 1xRTT data roaming,
however, Mobile Broadband/3G roaming will no longer be available.

Even though it goes unmetioned...Alaska was also changed too.

Jeez bad news all around.... Sprint should ask the fcc to force att to fulfill alltel's roaming obigations like they do with verizon.

Here's a list of some of the best sports apps
http://lifehacker.com/#!5782923/the-best-sports-apps-for-android
I use scorecenter. It's got all the scores and a crawl on the bottom for news, I've never used their mobile alerts.
From their site:
"Why wait to catch the score? Sign up for *FREE ESPN Alerts and get the latest scores, breaking news, and ESPN Fantasy updates sent to your phone. Sign up is easy, you choose the Alerts you want to receive. It's *FREE, and it works on any mobile device that can receive text messages." I guess they should update that to say "except Sprint". I'm sure it's a money thing, I'm sure ESPN is probably pissed at Sprint or wants a bunch of money from them.
I liked receiving texts alerts without opening an app...
I'm testing buzzbox right now, going to see how that works.

its now a story: http://www.androidcentral.com/espn-text-alerts-shut-out-sprint-network#comment-126800
Update: And just like that, we get a tip about what's really going on. Here 'tis:
It's not a "money thing" in the traditional sense. They didn't give us a real clear picture of what's going on, but ESPN offers these messages free of charge to ESPN.com members, and Sprint is going to start charging their customers for each individual text message, regardless of having an unlimited messaging package. ESPN really isn't going to put up with it being "free," yet not free.
This stinks. ESPN alerts were nice because they gave you the scoring plays. If I choose alerts for the Yankees and A-Rod hits a 2 run homer, it will show he hit a 2 run homer and R.Cano scores, the same with football alerts.
I have already paid my membership but will not be re-subscribing to espn insider or doing any espn fantasy leagues.
There are other alerts out there, I will just have to search for something else. It stinks, these are FREE apps (I pay for espn's extra services and in my mind pay sprint for extra premium $10 fee).
It seems like things are continuing to get worse at Sprint - I lost premier status upgrade, I lost espn alerts, who knows what will happen with the network (if they will go LTE or Wimax). Every time I try to use my mlb at ball app to listen to the game, the game keeps cutting out every 10-15 seconds and network speeds seem to be getting slower and slower.

Just like the ATT customers, we should be pressuring Bell to enable HSUPA at a minimum.

A software update is now available for the Bell version of the Motorola Atrix!
- To download the update manually:
Go to: Menu > Settings > About Phone > Software Update
- I'm not sure what the size of the update file is, but I would suggest downloading it over WiFi as opposed to the Bell network so you don't exceed your data allowance and incur extra charges.
- Ensure that your phone is at least 50% charged before attempting the update. Idealy, charge it beyond 50% to be safe.
-- The updated version is v37.23 and brings Android Froyo up to version 2.2.2, and contains numerous updates:
Upload Data Speed
Increased upload speed at which data can travel on the network.
Data and Voice Connection
Improvements to prevent interruptions to data and voice connection.
Screen
Improvements to prevent screen from freezing.
Skype
Improvements to call audio function so it is easier for the person you called to hear you. Please note this application is not pre-loaded on phone, but is available for download from Android Market.
Wi-Fi
Increased functionality by enabling Yahoo Email to be sent over a Wi-Fi connection.
Display
Improved International Roaming Warning Message by simplifying user notification so that it only appears on the screen when you move to a new network.
Happening Widget
Improved Happenings Widget to ensure that you receive the latest updates across the social networks you are connected to such as Facebook, MySpace, Twitter.
Calling
Improvements were made to incoming and outgoing call functionality to ensure a more seamless experience
Expanded Language Support for Webtop
Accented character support within Webtop application.
Improved Support for POP/SMTP Email
Support for SMTP outgoing servers that do not require authentication
Improved Exchange Performance
Improved Exchange Email/Calendar/Contacts performance
Here is the lehman terms about the PRL's. People who are on individual accounts will be receiving PRL 60678. It will not have 3G Data Roaming enabled.
Business and corperate accounts will be receiving custom PRL 1115, which does enable 3G Data Roaming in the six states listed below.
For all the details please read the attached files. You didn't get these from me
My FAQ for You:
1. No Samsung device has received a new PRL since 60676. We haven't received any notice of why or when Samsung devices will receve the new PRLs.
2. 60677 had numerous problems. All throughout Florida people were reportedly not getting any data at all while roaming, let alone 3G Data while roaming. So 60678 was pushed out to fix the issue, but it disabled 3G Data roaming for the time being. It may be enabled later on down the road.
3. Manually changing you PRL will not break your phone...but expect your PRL to switch back as your phone does a daily check for updates to the PRL. That is why alot of the community was switched back to 60676 after manually updating to 60677.
4. If you get any type of corperate discount on your account, you will receive the 1115 PRL.
-------------------------
National & Custom PRLs Available for FL, MI, OH, WVA, & WI
Sprint has released Custom PRL 1115 and National PRL ending xxx78 that will impact subscribers who roam in these states.
Custom EVDO PRL 1115 – Provides Business IL and CL subscribers with continued 3G/Mobile Broadband roaming services.
Consumer accounts in these states will experience a loss of 3G/Mobile Broadband roaming services. Refer to PRL Newsflash (xxx78).
Delivery of this Custom PRL is dependent on eligible Open Mobile Alliance (OMA) Phones/PDAs and Mobile Broadband devices.
Devices not eligible to receive the Custom PRL will receive the National PRL and won’t have 3G/Mobile Broadband roaming in these areas.
National PRLs (10078/50578, 20278/60678 and 60778) - Removes 3G/Mobile Broadband roaming coverage for all consumer accounts with push capable phones/PDAs and Mobile Broadband devices.
This coverage was previously enabled with PRL xxx77 and is now being removed since it didn’t provide the expected on-network capacity relief.
In an effort to strike the right balance between customer experience and roaming cost of service, the 3G roaming coverage will no longer be available for consumers but available to Business customers via Custom PRL 1115.
Consumers receiving these National PRLs will still have 1xRTT data roaming service available in the impacted states.
Sprint will begin proactively pushing the PRL to subscribers with in these locations first, then to the entire base. Subscribers with Mobile Broadband devices have to accept the PRL update prompt via SMARTview to receive this release.

Yes the only rish is that it will be pushed back. Nothing else.
And you're very welcome
(I'm thinking about manually updating to 1115 for the time being.)
I manually updated mine to 1115.
I'm assuming they wont be able to roll it back on Epics like mine that have the DATA & PRL update "internal/unknown error" issue, that still isnt resolved. Mine has been sitting on 60677 since I manually updated it when it came out. (No choice, since the automatic update doesnt work.)
May be it's different on other people's though.

01117 was also released to folks in MS..which added 3g from verizon when attached to sprint voice. Not sure why since that area has 3g on the towers except for north MS. It also removes the 3g roaming in FL.

1115 is the one you want. That is the one that enables 3G Data Roaming
I believe the 01117 was only sent to folks in southern MS. Not much of a difference between 01115 and 60678 except for the FL 3g roaming.

It wont, definately not if your running custom roms. This release has been out for about a month in these states already, and also if you call and ask for them to refresh on their end, be prepared to get framework forcecloses, not reccomended!
also for Top Nurse
I get a 28% corporate discount and live in California. So will I get the new prl or only when I jet into one of the affected areas?

You wont need it, unless you travel to one of the affected states & Yes you can update while there as you are under a Heirarchy as an account type/ Corporate - Sub type/Individual, also to everyone else, if you are a BCS/Premier or Business/General Business or Public Sector account you too will get this - even if you dont receive a discout
BTW, This is not a Sprint error, rather a problem caused by higher Gods in the wireless world.
I have had my evo for a while now, and lately I have been getting ridiculously slow 3g speeds... around 950ms pings 95kbps down and 150kbps up... and I have spent the last month or 2 trying to get it up... nothing worked, (updating profile, PRL, changing radios, disabling gps, flashing a verizon PRL, trying everything in different orders, etc)
After a while I gave up thinking It must just be the area I live in, Untill today, a budy of mine came over with his evo 3d, natrully I jumped on the chance to bench his 3g, he was getting scores arround 100ms ping 300kbps down and 250kbps up
so I looked into it some more and actually got my evo back up and beyond, I now have scores arround 100ms ping, 850-1000kbps down and 650kbps up
Heres what I never found before that fixed it for me
Go to the phone and pres ##72786# (##SCRTN#)
enter your MSL, I used msl reader from the market to get mine, but sprint gave it to me when I asked too
pres menu
pres reset
reboot by presing ok
let it run through the hands free activation
and presto...wala... boom...fast data

Sorry to tell you but this is a placebo effect. All you are doing in clearing out the slot 1 (data profile) for your username and password, this has nothing to do with speed. Is it possible that while your phone was going though its HFA that it also did a PRL update? It is also possible that you were affected by that streaming media issue from awhile ago and during the HFA the fix was pushed to your device. Many have reported, myself included, faster data speeds after applying the streaming media fix.

no I didnt clear data profile settings, not ##data#, I reset my SCRTN settings ##SCRTN#,
this affects MDN, MSID, and 2 M.IP settings

Yes while ##scrtn also clears out the mdn and msid it is essentially a ##data. I hate to tell you but that ##scrtn is just glorified ##data.
Just did this to see what would happen. I went from 0.15Mbps down and 0.3Mbps up to 1.36Mbps down and 0.52Mbps up
Edit: After two speed test it went back to crappy speeds. Back to Verizon Prl I go!

Keep in mind that, while on the Verizon data network (using the hacked PRL), Sprint will consider that as Roaming even if it does not show you as roaming on your phone.
You also have a cap on maximum data roaming Dispite having the unlimited plan. correct me if I'm wrong but I believe Its about 300mb before they start charging you for DATA Roaming.
Yea, as stated above you are just getting a placebo effect. Just like when you update PRL and Profile, your speeds may be slightly higher for a few minutes, then go back down. NOTHING can make the towers push out more data when they are overloaded, there is nothing that can be done from the phone.

They only charge data roaming on connection cards.
However sprint does take data roaming seriously. After spending 3 months in a roaming area, sprint sent me a warning letter about data roaming. During those 3 months I was not using my data like if I was in coverage.

I'm so glad I don't have to deal with big brother sprint!!
I can roam around like a wet dog on a summer afternoon..hahahhahaha
I can tether, use all the freaking data I want and NOTHING happens....Oh and best part of it all.....I get better speeds then most people on Sprint and ONLY pay 45 dollars...YES!!! Ok, go back to talking about sprint...just wanted to rub it in a bit..haha

I never got charged for going over the 300mb limit. Back in august I moved to an area that sprint signal was very weak phone always roamed. There wasn't high-speed internet so i couldnt use my airwave. I started using the prl hack. First month 7gb,September 9gb, October was around 13gb,November i used a little over 15gb(downloaded alot of roms,YouTube videos, apps, songs etc) and got a warning letter. So i stopped using it for a while.
I just moved back home up north where i didnt really need the hack. But now it feels like i do. My speeds are crawling. And the only way i can get 4G signal is if i put it by the window fml

What was the warning about? Were they threatening to take action or anything?

The warning letter is just the first step. It just said that i had excessive roaming and was in violation of the terms and services and referred me to review my contract.
There are subsequent letters that get sent out if the excessive roaming continues. In the end sprint does have the right to terminate the contract and they have done this in the past. You will be warned at least once before action is taken.

The warning was letting me know that the contract states data roaming no more then 300mb/month and voice I think it said no more then 700minutes. And my account will be monitored for three months. And if I don't changing my data usage habit they have to right to take action and terminate my contract. But then why does my account say unlimited data roaming when its only 300mb? I even talked to a few customer service reps. And they said unlimited. I was doing it so I could get out of contract and switch over to Verizon plus I was getting better coverage and speeds. But I changed my mind once I found out Sprint will be getting LTE haha.
Roaming~

On Sprint's web site, they state in the disclaimer:
Off-network Roaming: The primary use of your Device must be for domestic purposes within the Sprint-owned network. Domestic means use in the 50 United States and U.S. Territories (except Guam). Sprint reserves the right, without notice, to deny, terminate, modify, disconnect or suspend service if off-network usage in a month exceeds: (1) voice: 800 min. or a majority of minutes; or (2) data: 300 megabytes or a majority of kilobytes. The display on your device may not always be on and will not indicate whether you will incur roaming charges. You can monitor usage online through My Account. Roaming is not available with single-band phones, or to customers who reside or whose primary use is outside an area covered by the Nationwide Sprint Network. Sprint may limit or terminate service if you move outside of the Sprint owned-network.
This is only for the people who live in the areas were spark is being tested. I got this email this morning. I know a lot of you already know how to do this but just in case.
From Corporate:
*
*************** If you have any customer complaining about data or signal issues on a Spark device, I have a workaround that is field tested by one of our customers to alleviate the problem!
*
The issue they are experiencing is most likely because the new system isn’t completely finished. Spark sends out 3 different LTE signals that the phone has to choose from. There is the issue. 1 of those is standard LTE, the other 2 are the new ones for Spark. The trick is to turn off those 2 new signals for the time being.
*
How-To:
(Android tested)
Go to the Dial pad
Type in ##DATA# (3828)
Click Edit
The phone should ask for the MSL at this point
You’ll see a big list with lots of weird option. Click on LTE
The next menu should show 3 options. LTE, and 2 Band options. You want to disable those two Bands, leaving only standard LTE enabled.
Close the settings (Home works fine)
Done!
*
Advise the customer that we can enable those other signals at a later date when we are more confident in the network.

Yay its going to be the spark update.......
Sprint also said the LG G2 will become tri-band enabled through a software update later this month. In addition, the Nexus 5 by LG; LG G Flex curved, flexible smartphone; and Netgear LTE Gateway 6100D fixed, wireless router will soon join the initial group of Spark-enabled devices. Sprint noted the G Flex is unique to the operator.
