Motorola Person called - Xoom General

A Motorola person called just a few minutes ago and told that my order would be canceled because of it not going through their system. My card got a pre-auth. The order status still hasn't changed but this is a total disappointment!
NOT HAPPY!

you should have asked if it was due to a bank issue and settled it before getting off the phone. Most of the time issues like this are due to bank issues, not merchant ones

I talked to a woman at corporate yesterday about a problem I was having (being charged for the gel case which was suppose to be free) they didn't mention anything to me about my order having a problem. That doesn't mean I'll get it though, still haven't received a tracking number.. says March 1 or March 2 delivery..

I was in the first batch of 25% coupon users...soon enough!

Either way, for those worried about not receiving a tracking number. I didn't receive one for a separate order I placed the next day for full price (it was only an accessory) but either way it says delivery on March 2 or March 3. No tracking # or shipping confirmation.

I meant when they called you to cancel it. I don't think you can do anything now, but you could try to call them back. The worst thing that could happen is that they say no.

Do you know the reason why was cancelled? Did they tell you why?

i called today to get the status of my order and was told they didn't have one yet and someone would call me back about it. not looking good!

If the Motorola rep person didn't specifically say that it was because of the coupon, it could have easily been a bank or credit card company issue that caused it.

that would be my guess as well since many people have reported getting theres already or have found their tracking number on fedex.com by looking it up via reference number.

I seriously doubt this was the case with mine. I had a card full of $ and It had a pre-auth as well. Anyhow, I called CS again and they said that the order specialists would call me within 4 hours to tell me the sttus of the order(I didnt mention about the motorola lady calling me). So apparently, Motorola CS guys have no clue if my order was canceled. Not sure what to think!

Nope, it's a very plain ordering page. You select the phone, select your Google checkout payment method, select your address, click agree, then click submit.

Dell refunded my money, Didn't tell me... Weird.

HOT news!!!
I was refunded my money via online banking. It's very strange!
I check my order online daily to make sure when and if my DVP have shipped. My order is still on the dell website and shows that it's still in production.
However, the weirdest thing is that I was refunded my money when I checked my online-banking account today. I also have no records of it on my account that I ordered anything from dell recently. Absoluetly no records at all. Not even a purchase or a cancelation. All I know is that I have the $500.00 money back for odd some reason.
I don't know whether this means they're going to cancel my order online without telling me because they no longer have my money.
I purchased with a debit card. My account is healthy as hell.
Anyone have this happened to them before?
dont spend that money what dell does is charges your card for the order initially but since you arent getting a device they can only put a temp hold on the amount after a few days your card issuer releases the hold but right when youyr device is gonna ship dell will charge you again. so make sure that money is there.
They did that too me too, but my bank has been doing this to me for almost every thing I buy thats over $100. I guess the bank just does that to make sure the charges aren't fraudulent or something. Eventually the money gets charged again but sometimes it takes up to a week after I even receive the thing.
I do have a student account though.

They're both right. Dell does place a hold to make sure you have the funds when you place the order, which essentially shows up as a "charge" on your account, but when the hold expires (usually a week), the money is back in your account because it was never really taken out. When the device is shipped, the account will actually be debited for the amount, so yes, as Shaun231 said, don't spend the money or there will be an error when Dell debits it for real during shipping.
I am hoping they ship the bloody device soon. I'm getting tired of refreshing the order status page on Dell.com

My friend who works for dell said sdome will be shipped tomorrow he always give me correct info. he said the problem they are having is microsoft wanting replacement devices for their store and dell wants the online orders stock to be fulfilled so there fighting over who has to wait online or store. I say store

i mean people should just be happy to get a replacement battery after using my hd7 and my surrond at home I notice they both have the wifi issue as the dvp was reported to have. So i assume its software.

That's weird - is this a broader issue that has been posted on the HD7 and Surround forums? I had the HD7 for 2 weeks and it had no problems connecting to (and staying connected to, after waking from sleep/lock) my secured wireless network.

You need to get to the thousand (last 4 digits) or beyond to compare. eg:7714 (714) is earlier than 8114 (114)

Pre-order is pretty much self explanatory=u get it when batch 2 comes out
Its the same thing. Complete means your order had been completed by Google Staff. Estimated shipping date means its been handed to UPS and they have determined an expected dilivery date.

Lol um... Nope! I ordered 3-5min after N4 was made available and there are others wayyy after me that has complete / est shipping nov15th on their order status.
These status doesn't mean crap. I confirmed with 2 representative that my order will be shipped in 1-2 business days just like everyone else.

If what google said about same day shipping is true, then my guess is completed=shipping yesterday, 15th=shipping tomorrow (for all the utc-7+ ,people, it's the 14th where I am, though you could have deduced that already )

I ordered that in less than 30 seconds after it became available and I am in pre-order status. For that reason I can't believe that I will have to wait for the next batch. I will get very angry if people ordered that after me got it before me. As soon as logs are kept and google have at least one computer available to sort the logs by time they should start dispatching with the first-come first-served patterns. Otherwise it is just unfair. I am so happy that you have confirmed that with 2 representatives. I sent an email to Google Play yesterday and I received a response saying that their records and my order id show that I will have the device shipped by the evening of 15/11. (this should be an automated reply by a bot that crawls your email and finds possible answers to your question - I say that because firstly I received the answer in 1-2 minutes and I don't believe that in such a busy day I had such a quick response and secondly the answer was close to what I asked but not exactly what I asked).

As soon as I saw the 32GB was in stock at TigerDirect, I ordered one from their website.
I used Google Checkout to place the order. Payment went smooth and I even got an order number.
However, TigerDirect doesn't show my order and the customer care tells me that the order isn't in their database. I searched for similar problems and it seems quite a few people have faced the same. I fear I am stuck with my funds being blocked by Google Checkout for a while. FML

I just placed the order again today. So I haven't been refunded. The tracking number said that the package was never picked up by UPS, and they saw that. If it ever arrives, I'll just do an RMA. Good luck to you.

Bestbuy releasing early?

Left my local bestbuy last night and a couple blueshirts there told me that they would be releasing the S7 and S7 Edge this Monday. I was pre-ordering and asked when it came out and they told me I could pick it up on monday.
So if you preordered from bestbuy i'd recommend calling them and seeing if they are also releasing it early.
I don't know how truthful BestBuy is. I got my pre-ordered T-Mobile S7 on the 3rd of March and was told by my local BestBuy store that they had the Otterbox cases in stock for the S7. So I drive over to the store and find out that they have the cases in stock but won't be releasing them until the 11th of March because that's when the phones will be released. I will NOT be going back to BestBuy again!

I bought a surround sound system from them a month ago. He told me i was gonna get a discount and hed hook me up with an hdmi and optical cable. Then he was tryin to talk me into joinin their "rewards program" it was like every $100 you get a dollar or something. I was like, "it'd take me so long, im good" but i bought a tv a couple months before so he said i could get credit for that aswell. So finally i said, "well, your not gonna send me a bunch of emails if i sign up are you". He said, " haha noooooo"!
Long story kinda shortened.
I paid full price for the SS system.
I got a wopping $5 off a used hdmi cable. Which was $20
Paid full price for optical audio cable $25
Then at the end i said oh can we add my tv to the rewards program. (Of course the salesman left so i was left with some kid to check me out)
He said, "oh man we'd have to call customer service and i dont think theyd do it anyway"

They had no idea what I was talking about, and reaffirmed the 11th as the release date. This was yesterday, today my GF got a call that our phones have arrived and that we can pick them up tomorrow.

Same thing happened to me. They had a Samsung rep there and I even showed him the phone, still wouldn't sell it. I went to U.S. Cellular, AT&T and even the new T-Mobile store in my town but neither had cases yet. Verizon store had the stuff out on display already so i bought my case and screen protector there.
I wondered who the *#&@ cares if I buy a piece of plastic for a phone that isn't "out yet"? I am giving you money, why do you care?! It was dumb as f.

Just got off the phone with my local BestBuy, they said that it should be no problem. She mentioned it would be FCFS based on available stock, dunno if this means you can get one shipped later, or if you are sol.
Well...that's kind of strange. The Best Buy website now shows the expected release date for the phone on my order as: "Null"?

Yeah. I ordered two actually, got two seperate emails. I tried looking them up, but it says the name and phone number are wrong, didnt say anything about order number being wrong.
Edit: nevermind, it was under my old name. My att acct is kinda wonky haha.
