i know someone else is gonna improvise and post a better thread than mine....till then everyone who's been working with the atrix pls pour in your apk and sd card files. and pls mention if it is tested and compatible or whether u r posting it for someone else whom u want to test the file with...
guys lets help each other till someone else comes to our rescue....

dude i was told that many games are not actually available for qhd resolution....i.e. motorola atrix....thats why i started this....

Is this a paid app? If its a paid app, get ready for some bashing here. Its not allowed to distribute paid apps.
U could restrict to posting app/games names though, but not the actual apps.

I would say 90% I've tried have worked so far. Some have slight graphical problems like an image stopping a few pixels from the edge of the screen since the designers didn't have to worry about our screen size.
Oh and Samurai II works and is/looks completely amazing.
Apps for different resolutions will still work, just may be stretched or distorted.
PewPew on the market works in native res.

Modern combat 2 works but does have some graphic problems where bars which are supposed to span the screen at times don't fit the screen. Also the blood which indicates your health only covers 90% of the screen. But it shouldn't affect gameplay.
hey i was wondering if can do this....there are sites and forums that give us the apk and sd card data files for a specific phone....all those phones have 480x800 resolution....and there is a software called lcd density changer which changes the resolution of the phone....it either increases or decreases the resolution....
so if i download and install these files and lower the resolution of my phone will i be able to play normally....that is i bring down the resolution to the desired one and play....

9mm hd(its running fine but i m nt able to see the game properly,everything comes in pink and dark pink colour.have to try a diff cersion of this game)

and trying back stab 3d.
i hope an one cud get desrt winds ported to our phone.i guess its for snapdragon processors only

Silent Hill? Of all games you want to replay Silent Hill? That game was too damn scary for me back than and I was maybe 16 or 17.
A friend of mine recently gave me his busted xbox 360 and it came with a few games as well as Silent Hill: Homecoming. I thought I could handle it now. Nope, I was wrong. I turned out all the lights and played on my 56in with 5.1 sound system in the living room. It was too damn scary for me again. I heard every little noise in front and behind me. 10 minutes into it I took it out and was done with that evil ass game.

that's the first game i tried .
and sadly, its hardly playable.. there is a white box that appears around the characters and sometimes they just disappear in the mist..
i'll upload a screencap and a list of games i have tried..
btw.. pm me if anyone has trouble finding a good site for the roms (although google still is your best friend for that )
edit: Screencaps added.
well, now that i tried it again.. the game isn't too unplayable.. I'll try finding a ripped rom.. maybe that works better.

ugh guys i ran into an issue i forgot about. if youre using the on screen keyboard, the nexus one multitouch screen is the issue. i was playing RE1 and i forgot that i had to hold the R+L button to use the weapon n sadly, we cant do that on our devices
**EDIT: FF7 seems to work fine. FF8 works fine except for the video at the very beginning of the game. i will test out MG Solid later on in the day**

I tried MG solid.. the game loads but i cant get past the menu screen..
just downloaded and i would love a list as well. i'm just searching for the bios
Tried Tekken3, the game runs without any error but the fps is crap, somewhere about 13fps. Im on N1.

ah i was just about to try it. good thing im not now lol i tried mortal kombat trilogy n its a no go. gets stuck on the screen that says Mortal Kombat Trilogy and the dragon logo

Hahaha, that's the point. The sound of static was never the same afterward. I love love love this series (at least, up to SH3). It's probably going to be a lot less scary on a 3.7 in screen anyway.

DONT JUDGE ME!!!!......but Rugrats Search for Reptar works fine lol i was searching through roms and i saw this and loved it as a child so i wanted to give it a try for the hell of it n it brought back a lot of memories
Downloaded Tomba to try. Graphics were glitchy and it ran extremely slow. Gonna search for some more ROMs

Where did you get a working copy of tekken? Ive tried so many different ones that the emulator wont read....and also someone mentioned resident evil i would love to try and get that one as well.....If you dont want to post link pm me please

RE runs good but the multitouch screen issue is a problem. if youre using a bluetooth control then it should work fine
Where did you get RE from tho? and what is everyone setting their fps to? default or something else?
What games are you finding that are better on a Tablet than on a Phone?

Please be patient but I tried to find threads on downloading game angry birds but stuck. The problem is that I need very basic directions. It showed downloading but how am i supposed to access it. 2 arrows in upper left corner did i download it twice. Any help appreciated or will have to wait for my nephews to help. Read manual but this is my first wifi anything. Thanks

I just put dungeon defenders on this device and it is pretty cool. I am a total newbie to it but graphics r sweet. Seems to draw the power but looks amazing. Now I just got to learn this new game.

Bought it on my evo, should still like to know why I couldn't find it on the a7 though.
I was trying to reply to the person who couldn't figure out how to install Angry Birds.
But while I'm here...
I love: Fruit Ninja, Angry Birds, Paper Toss, Pinball Deluxe, Untangle Space Out, aTilt 3D Labyrinth, Ancient Frog, Slots Royale, Bubble Blast, Jewels... (yeah, I'm a chick)...etc.
I'm having a blast and spending way too much time playing games!

Yup, I agreed.
After using spare parts, it does help me to play certain games in full screen such as:-
1. Modern Combat - Sandstorm
2. Gangstar
3. BIA2
4. Nova
5. Backbreaker
6. HomerunBattle
But, I'm not knowing why for some reasons it crashes other games as well such as:-
1. Ninja Rush
2. Shoot U!
3. MiniSquadron!
So, it was like i only have 1 choice either i choose to play these games and give up the other ones...or i choose this one and sacrifice the rest.
Have any of you been experiencing such problem?

For the Gameloft games, you should really be using the Tab specific HD versions anyway.

The "problem" here is not the Tab - it's the games themselves. The proper solution would be to ask the developers to code their games up so that they are not so resolution dependent.

If everyone coded to Google's recommendations we wouldn't even have this issue. Google need to be a tad more strict on the apps they allow into the market. Just my 2 insignificant-monetary-units
Yeah using spare parts is hit and miss. While I found it helped games out it really hurt others. Mini squadron. Gem miner will work until you actually start the level and then the screen goes white. In duck hunter the touch response is way off .
TheGrammarFreak is totally right tho its all up to the dev's, but then again not all devs had tablets in mind when they were developing so you cant really blame them either. But at this point any reputable dev SHOULD be updating their apps to scale properly with the SGT.
It was becuase some of the apps dont work with spare parts that I dont use it and just put comments on all the apps that dont scale correctly asking them to please update it. Many have been updated, many have not.
I installed the app but then i had some problems with the scaling with the ebook reader, the margins were off while reading a book... so Im not using it anymore

With those of you having trouble getting/running GTA 3 on your Note, I also had trouble running it.....Until now...
Like many others the game is no longer available in the market place & even when attempting to purchase it online I get the message ''no devices/your device is not supported''
I had to do things the hard way by manually looking for and installing the GTA 3 apk file.
When this was complete things got worse. When attempting to install the game data via wifi I got the following message ''Data download authorization error. Is the time on your device set correctly?"
Regardless of what I tried to do the message would continue.
Once again I had to mess about looking for the data files for GTA 3 to manually run the game without the need to download it via wifi.
I then downloaded the game data & copied it to my android/data folder.
When launching the game you will still be prompted to update. If you decline it the game closes, if you accept you get the above error about the time zone.
What I had to do was to press the back button on the note. The screen would then go black and stay black.
Lastly I pushed the home button, I did not close the game but went to my home screen (game was still running in the taskbar) I then open my task bar and press GTA 3. Bam, it now works!
Anyone have any questions?
I have a fixed APK though... deleted all my files and am trying to download and reinstall, will let you know if it works at this time
What a releif I had no problem installing GTA3..
It may be of interest to some that it plays completely smoothly when clocked at 800MHz, and very slightly choppy but totally playable at 500MHz.
Also, the only games I think anybody needs are GTA3, and Zelda OoT and Majora's mask - both run smoothly with N64oid, though the latter is more demanding. I found that MM was not playable until I bought setCPU (rooted etc.), but interestingly I can play it completely smoothly when clocked at 1000MHz.
But PLEASE has anyone had success with PS1 or NDS emulators? I find that when starting an emulation, both just show the controls but fail to load a game :/
For some reason all my games textures are covered in black I don't know why. I need help fixing it please. Im on a G950FD renovate ice 5.1 rom with TGP kernel.

Have you tried lowering your game graphics settings, maybe your Samsung can't support the game's settings?
Try lowering your game settings and close other RAM intensive apps before playing again. Let me know if it does anything different.

I lowered the settings to very low and put spectrum to gaming profile and it still is black textured. In doom 3 all gun smoke particles are black, blood on the ground is black, glass is black and bullet holes and flash light beam is black. Is it transparent things decals or what..? I saw a youtube video on doom 3 running on a galaxy s8 and they dont have black textures.

It might not be your phone's issue after all.
Try to install an almost similar game (same specs and same game-type) to see if your phone renders it correctly or not. Then you will be able to gauge if your phone has issues or is just the game full of bugs.

I Installed quake 3 arena and there were black particles.
So what I am gonna do is install batman rom and see if it will fix. if not then I am clueless and need help.
