With those of you having trouble getting/running GTA 3 on your Note, I also had trouble running it.....Until now...
Like many others the game is no longer available in the market place & even when attempting to purchase it online I get the message ''no devices/your device is not supported''
I had to do things the hard way by manually looking for and installing the GTA 3 apk file.
When this was complete things got worse. When attempting to install the game data via wifi I got the following message ''Data download authorization error. Is the time on your device set correctly?"
Regardless of what I tried to do the message would continue.
Once again I had to mess about looking for the data files for GTA 3 to manually run the game without the need to download it via wifi.
I then downloaded the game data & copied it to my android/data folder.
When launching the game you will still be prompted to update. If you decline it the game closes, if you accept you get the above error about the time zone.
What I had to do was to press the back button on the note. The screen would then go black and stay black.
Lastly I pushed the home button, I did not close the game but went to my home screen (game was still running in the taskbar) I then open my task bar and press GTA 3. Bam, it now works!
Anyone have any questions?
I have a fixed APK though... deleted all my files and am trying to download and reinstall, will let you know if it works at this time
What a releif I had no problem installing GTA3..
It may be of interest to some that it plays completely smoothly when clocked at 800MHz, and very slightly choppy but totally playable at 500MHz.
Also, the only games I think anybody needs are GTA3, and Zelda OoT and Majora's mask - both run smoothly with N64oid, though the latter is more demanding. I found that MM was not playable until I bought setCPU (rooted etc.), but interestingly I can play it completely smoothly when clocked at 1000MHz.
But PLEASE has anyone had success with PS1 or NDS emulators? I find that when starting an emulation, both just show the controls but fail to load a game :/

Please be patient but I tried to find threads on downloading game angry birds but stuck. The problem is that I need very basic directions. It showed downloading but how am i supposed to access it. 2 arrows in upper left corner did i download it twice. Any help appreciated or will have to wait for my nephews to help. Read manual but this is my first wifi anything. Thanks

I just put dungeon defenders on this device and it is pretty cool. I am a total newbie to it but graphics r sweet. Seems to draw the power but looks amazing. Now I just got to learn this new game.

Bought it on my evo, should still like to know why I couldn't find it on the a7 though.
I was trying to reply to the person who couldn't figure out how to install Angry Birds.
But while I'm here...
I love: Fruit Ninja, Angry Birds, Paper Toss, Pinball Deluxe, Untangle Space Out, aTilt 3D Labyrinth, Ancient Frog, Slots Royale, Bubble Blast, Jewels... (yeah, I'm a chick)...etc.
I'm having a blast and spending way too much time playing games!

Heavy Gunner has an xy axis issue that is reported to be an ICS issue.
GTA III does work.

Not sure about build prop but I can say that Nova2 HD doesn't work (Gameloft sucks), Shadowgun force closes sometimes. Dead Space, Temple Run, Angry Birds Space and N64 emulator all work well.

GTAIII only barely works for me. It ends up freezing the controls, so if I was running, he just keeps running as I am still touching the controls. The controls also seem to lag greatly causing me to get my butt kicked when I am trying to mug people.
i'm considering buying this tab and games if definatly an interest. Was wondering has anyone tried a PSemulator on the tab? Wonder how that would play with something like say, FF7 also curious how Mini Motor Racing plays on the tab.

I removed it and re-installed it. Still doesn't work. It downloads the levels, goes to the PopCap screen then hangs forever, sometimes it makes it to the next screen (Loading...), then hangs.
I can't find a HD version, just the regular pay for version. It works just fine on my Atrix 2.
Real Racing 2 doesn't work. It installs but gets a server error 5002 when launched. I bought the Tab just for this awesome game!
I got a bunch of Gameloft games to work, by changing the build.prop to Galaxy Nexus. Same GPU as our tab, and high resolution, so the games should be optimized. Unzip this and overwrite the one inside /system/
Make a backup first, this might cause problems down the line.
EDIT: Yeah this kills sound. So, after you change your build.prop, download the games, install the data and restore your backed up build.prop. Sound will work again. The games will also still work.
There is an app on the market called "Device Spoofer" that makes this process easier.

Asphalt does work on my tablet(p3110) but Plants vs Zombies don't~~

I downloaded the plant vs zombiesHD version which was around 2 mb , later when I installed and launched the game it stopped working the message says "unfortunately plant vs zombies has stopped working" so any suggestions for this problem

That message you got is called a "force close" Some apps do this s8metimes especially if there are many apps fighting for Ram, thats when you need the multirasking butt8n, which looks like 2 frames with an overlap, selecting "Remove all" will clear up Ram.

PvZ works great for me, I am using version 1.3.16 with included data files to sd card.
however, it is always asking for network, just for starting the app.

Nop, i can run Modern combat 4, GTA, dead trigger, spider man etc perfectly without any lag, using cm10.1 but with a official Rom it should the same.
Could anyone that has a Nexus 7 at present please try, Modern Combat 3, Nova 3 and order and chaos on the device. Since these are the only none tegra games that I'd be playing on it, would be nice to know if they work

dead space and asphalt6 both show up as incompatible, i feel like dead space might work, i'll pull the apk from my gs3 and try it

modern combat will most likely not work without an update from gameloft as well, there was a similar issue with their games after ICS came out. i'll check out order and chaos in the morning for you though

I downloaded Nova 3 today, and after downloading 1.7GB worth of info. I was told this game is incompatible with my device and to ask for a refund???

Nova 3 is not working with my SGS3 on CM10, I thought this might be a CM10 issue (being an early preview and all) so I downloaded for the N7 and the same things happens.
The game opens, looks like its about to initialise then it takes me back to the homescreen without any error or force close.
I am starting to think that the game just doesn't like Jellybean

The idea is to make a list of games that do not work, or that work but not quite right.
Since most games are running, that no,
And it would make a long list adding all that do work. So mention the games that are not on the list and that work is because they go to 100% lagfree.
But not like the others who want to go where they operate commenting perfect

Understood. It wasn't intended.
Anyway it's not easy to believe that if a game it's not in the list it's because it works perfectly. I mean there could be a doubt about if some game was tested or not. But it's a valid point.

You're right, I've been testing and I can not get into the game returns me to the main screen of the game, now I'm going to add to the list until your compatibiliad future reports.
Fpse doesn't work for me...
Sound is out but video doesn't, never face this on CM 9, I use the old fpse one...

At this moment the game requires a phone/tablet with 1 GB of RAM at least. I really wish to support xperia play devices, but unfortunately right now I don't have this phone to optimize the game for it.

Modern Combat 4 (leaked version) worked fine for me on Gingerbread, and also works well on ICS (By Markphyton) but you'd better delete them from the list as they are not official versions, and there may be confusion among users.
Downloaded the latest version of The Amazing spiderman, works fine if you use the hard buttons, but when you go touch pads its gets really laggy and freezes then restarts the phone entirely, i'll keep testing. I use Markphyton ICS rom

okay, confirm continued to lag, (whether overclocked or not) and will update the list with your report.
Ok so i overclocked to 1.6 max and 500mgz smartassv2 and noop but still laggy,it stopped system freeze (when game hooks up i can now press home without it restarting my play), i decided to uninstall maybe i'll try with an older version

Monster Shooter 2 is a high res game wih a LOT going on and plays smooth on the Nook- until it crashed at same next level spot everytime.

GTA Vice City = Starts and then locks device up forcing need to shut down with power button.

So far, FPse (psx emulator) is the only app that worked stock but doesn't with CM10.1. It crashes while dl plug ins.

I have not tried FPse since having 7/19 (been using epsxe). I will try that tonight.

I've ran into a problem with Zinio magazine reader on CM10.1. It worked on stock ...but in CM10...it says i'm not connected to wifi (when I am) and every other app has no issues getting internet...very weird.

This one dies because of "E/dalvikvm-heap( 468): Out of memory on a 22302736-byte allocation."
Apparently we need to allow bigger heap size?
Cannot really comment on the other two apps as they are non free and I cannot play them, but would be great if you can collect some logs yourself.

Zinio works for me just fine since June 13th release.
anyone know how to install zen pinball hd? I can sideload it, but then I'm not able to restore purchased tables from my google play account, so I need to install it from market.
with the help of market helper I was able to fool google play into thinking that I have nexus 7, but it still lists as incompatible. Therefore it must have problem with density/resolution...

Vice City worked fine for me on stock non rooted but now I get the same error crashing problems as the OP since running CM 10.1.

Zen Pinball from Play market and all games installed and play fine with CM 10.1. Some games do not work with stock. The three Star Wars did not work with stock.

Sorry I am just now reading this.... Not sure how missed it. Zen showed up in the market and installed with stock 2.1, but the SW games did not work. ALL games work fine with 10.1. Super smooth and loads normal speed. No side loading the app is needed for the install.

I know right!?!!
I use 1 Mobile Market to load all free apps on Google Play Store that say that they are not compatible, including Scrabble and Zen Pinball.
Zen shows up for me in the market. Strange it does not for all. Plays fine.
I found Zen to be unplayable. Every other pinball game I have tried has worked fine.
