I ordered it Monday from At&t and it has not shipped out yet it is still "in progress" when i check the order status. At&t told me it should be here in a few days but i know half the time they don't know what there talking about...

Make sure you have the batteries in properly
If it's out, it seems on back-order everywhere. I checked Amazon and they wanted less than both Motorola direct and AT&T, but I ended up going into an AT&T store and asked if they could match and they did, free shipping too. It's not due to ship until March 8th, but Amazon said the same thing. Just need to be patient.

I would buy another one and refuse delivery when it does ship. If they still charge you, dispute it with your card. Tell them this is what you're going to do when they say they won't cancel it. If it hasn't shipped, they can still cancel, no matter what they say.
I had a phone on order, when I found it cheaper at Best Buy. I bought the Best Buy. When I called AT&T to cancel my order (18 hours after placing the order), they told me it was in the "shipping process." I asked how to stop;return it. The CS rep said either wait until I received it and then return it for credit, or refuse to accept it when delivered. When it got back to the shipping origin it would be automatically credited to me. He recommended the latter, just refuse to accept from Fedex. I did that, and 3 weeks later a credit showed up on my card. It worked!
Its been like 2 months now and i still haven't got it. Yesterday i got an update email from att and was literally screaming and jumping up and down in my computer chair thinking finally its about time it ships out! well then i read the email and the order has been canceled! Couldnt they of told me that a month ago?

i juts called the tmo rep. it appears that radioshack didnt take care of their end of the deal by sending in the rebate information. everyone needs to go to rs and tell those b!tch3s that they f'd up. =) just tell them that whatever info needs to be sent to tmobile regarding the rebate needs to either be sent again/or actually be sent. good day

I talked to the manager of my rs several weeks ago and he said he was going to contact his district manager because I wasn't the only one who contacted him about the issue. He took my info and said he would call when he got info. I expected a couple days for him to get back, but after a week or two and thinking he was giving me the runaround he actually called me and said he spoke with his t mobile rep and asked if I'd be ok with a $50 t-mobile credit to my account. I agreed and he said he'd call me again after he worked it out with the rep. That was a week or so ago and haven't heard anything or noticed a credit added to my account...

Of course they have no clue. AT&T encourages hiring drones who have no interest in phones nor any discernible sales skills, in exchange for working more hours for less pay, in a "union" that does nothing but dock your pay for dues. They're told to toe the company line and have no individual thought, lest they risk termination.
That being said, most employees don't CARE when the phone will be out, or if you're waiting for one. They're trained to sell TODAY, to hype whatever is in stock, so they get paid, and more importantly AT&T gets paid.

I got lucky today and walked into my local corporate store and asked if they had any. They said they had one that was a preorder returning I could see it. I asked them if I could buy it and they said no and the manager said to hold on a minute. She went into the back and made a phone call and came out and said if I wanted it I can buy it.

Im a VZW customer. I ahvent ventured into other carriers threads till I saw this.
I had a similiar experience today. I expected your phones out on the 21 and then maybe 28th. I figured theyd at least have a floor model I could hold in my hands to just play around with.
nothing there. the woman had never even heard of the phone and said i should buy an iphone. I laughed and said nothanks and left.

The T-Mobile store in my local mall had one on display! I was very eager to actually play with the phone and see how it felt and looked. The Pebble blue looks nicer than I thought it would but I will stick to the white one I preordered on Verizon. I never should have gone in there! Now the wait is just that much more annoying.

I just called customer support because I too got this email, but my account says its still expected to be shipped by today and the representative told me that everyone who ordered a Nexus 4 got this email. He said that only the people who ordered 2+ devices could be waiting, but those who ordered 1 aren't likely to be backordered.

I only ordered 1 Nexus 4 16GB but i got that backorder email. I just talked to a google REP also and he said, its on backorder. I also had a Nexus 10 16GB in the same order and he said, since the order is bundled, I now have to wait for my Nexus 10 until the Nexus 4 becomes available to ship even though the Nexus 10 16GB is available right now. I asked for a request for my Nexus 10 to be shipped separately earlier and REP said, it can't be done as they are in same bundled order. Lame lol would have been nice if I could have at least had my Nexus 10 earlier. Oh well, it is what it is.

You do realize that google does not manufacture devices. Period. If you want to be mad, be mad at lg. Also if your last couple of devices didn't sell all that well to begin with would you really stock up on a bunch of hardware that has the potential to not sell on top of selling at a minimal gain or slight loss?
Stop whining and be glad that you're getting an extremely underpriced phone out of contract.

Just got off the phone with Google Order Support. They confirmed that anyone that received the email will be placed on back order. Anyone who ordered who has not received the email will have theirs shipped this evening and that all the back order emails had gone out. So if yours is still processing, you will get your shipping confirmation later this evening with 1-2 day shipping.

Thought to start a thread for those of us that have ordered from their website.
I ordered a Black One last week via uSwitch. The £30 upfront fee has been deducted(not sure if they deduct straight away when ordering) on 02.04 and T-Mo have done their in and out of £2. When I called yesterday I was told that they will send an email before they ship, which I am still waiting for. They also said that they were expecting stock in yesterday, but I assume that was BS as their facebook page is saying next week in many instances.
I've spoken to them twice today and in the morning I was told stock will be in either today or tomorrow and in the afternoon they told me that they've received an email from HTC saying the delivery has been delayed till next week and they're looking at Tuesday (9th) or Wednesday (10th) for posting the handsets at the earliest.
Called tmobile direct to see if they can match the pricing but won't budge from £26pm for the tariff and £170 for the handset up front which is ridiculous.
Will just have to sit back and wait now.
That really sucks. Will just have to be patient I suppose. Not too worried about waiting another week I suppose it will arrive One day

Well I took the plunge and signed up to the £26 T-Mobile deal and 29.99 upfront because it seemed such a good deal! Not to mention the HTC media thing (if I get one!)
Got all the way to the end and it said I'd been referred and the number on the refer page didn't ring / nobody answered. Then got 2 missed calls from a T-Mobile 0845 number and haven't heard anything since! No emails either.
Emailed the [email protected] address and had a standard email saying about credit checks might delay orders and rang t-mobile and they have no record of anything so I'm in limbo-land! I guess I got somewhere because I had the 2 missed calls but not had anything since!
Here's hoping that everything goes through and there's little delay!
Ordered my silver one on the 28th and it arrived this morning with no sign of any media link. Spoke to them via Facebook and they said they had run out of media links as they were limited. However, I have read they others have received this that ordered after me, so not a happy bunny as you can imagine.

They had better have one for me. I called specifically to confirm that I would be getting one as it did not show when i pre-ordered and they said that I would be. I cancelled my 02.03.13 order on MPD because this was marginally cheaper AND they were giving the Media Link free. If I dont get it I will be p....ed, and they will hear all about it.
I called Buy Mobile Phones today to ask if it were likely that I'd receive a black One sooner if I were to order with them now rather than keep my order with Affordable Mobiles.
He said that they both share the same stock pool, which is interesting as both companies have different addresses, though both are A1 Comms. I asked if they had ever received black handsets, to which he replied that they had, but they were sent back due to a quality issue.
The main reason I called is that BMP have a customer area and they answer the phone a lot quicker than AM! I don't know if BMP have priority though, being the parent company.
I read on Facebook that Mobile Phones Direct are emailing all waiting customers daily, no matter how small the news. Goes a long way though!

Affordable Mobiles nightmare
I avoided Affordable Mobiles this year after an horrendous episode with them last year. Basically even after confirming my cancellation for a One X, they went ahead and allowed a contract with three to complete, it took me weeks to get things sorted and never received any sort of apology. I've always got phones online through these type of resellers but this year I went straight into one of my local three stores, ten minutes later walked out with a new HTC One Silver.
The reason I did this was after googling how to dismantle the htc one, I learned that it's virtually impossible to repair the phone screen. I can only imagine the trouble I would have with the likes of Affordable Mobiles in trying to get a repair. Was assured by three that the phone would not be sent away if repair was needed but would be replaced. That sealed the deal for me.
Had mine 10 days now and it's awesome. I would advise avoiding the double dip official flip case, it's awful.
I hope you all enjoy your new phones when they arrive

I ordered a 64 GB developer edition on Saturday 4/20 at around 11 am and it has been in picking since. I selected 2 day shipping and the original expected delivery was today 4/24. Yesterday that was bumped to 4/25. Today it says 4/26.
I've gotten more patient over the years, and my current phone is serviceable so I'm just going to sit tight for now. The worst case seems to be 'end of April' which isn't too far away.
I preordered with them, it shipped on Friday and I got it on Saturday. That said, it did sit in "picking" for a couple days before it shipped, and the order also disappeared from their online tracker right beforehand.

I use data a lot more than voice and so, value a good/fast data connection. Am concerned that the "generic" radio may be a hindrance. That said, if it is firmware related and not hardware, it should be fixable by flashing the appropriate firmware, ROM or radio. Waiting for the knowledgeable peeps to chime in.

Mine too. Ordered on the 12th, couldn't get an order status until yesterday, still in picking. Trying to decide whether to cancel or wait it out. My G2X is crap and I need something ASAP. It was either an HTC One or a GS4, and I wanted the One, but after this mess, it's probably gonna be whichever I can get first.
I ordered on the 12th but it has been "picking" for 5 days now I'm kind of disappointed that I (promised to!) shell out so much money and now I'm waiting considerably longer than carrier customers. I'm quite patient but I wish let's talk would be a bit more finite with their dates, there is no way they have been "picking" my phone for the better part of a week.
I will only be angry if I get the phone and it has hardware defects. I would imagine the RMA process with these guys would be terrible

So was mine, shipping today for 2 days...i called them and she said oh it's because we ran out of stock (thanks for that heads up). So I cancelled and went to AT&T, which i'm glad i did they gave me $150 off even though i wasn't due for any upgrade for a long time..
Ordered on 4/9 and it still shows picking status as well. This is definitely getting ridiculous.
I ordered two 64gb dev edition handsets on the 10th and I'm on back order. I called HTC and they said there next shipment is on the 29th.
I am having the same problem too, it remaied picking for almost a week and hopefully i could get this by the end of this April because i am gonna leave on May 2nd.
My status just changed from "picking" to "ready to be shipped". What does that mean?
