Live Wallpaper on Wildfire?

Can anyone tell me whether Live Wallpaper can run on Wildfire?

I have read somewhere, i think at HTC's facebook group, that HTC Wildfire doesn't support live-wallpapers, and they won't work if you download them anyway.

All the forums I've visited say no, but quite a few of them reckon that Froyo will change that when we finally get it =o)

There is no date announced officially we are waiting for wildfire to be rooted coz then we can use lots of Froyo builds here .. lets see what comes first root or official froyo..

I read somewhere, that live wallpapers are missing cos of the (too)slow CPU... not good enough too support it.

The HTC Wildfire has a 528Mhz CPU which can be overclocked at ~750 Mhz, like the Hero. When we'll get overclockables kernels, we'll get Live Wallpapers

And.. any news on tht.. will Froyo enable Live Wallpaper.. ?

If you flash Puzzle ROM v8,you can use new Froyo with live wallpaper on the Sence. ;-)

How is that even possible?

all the live wallpapers iv tried on puzzle rom dont work..

you can't use livewallpapers with htc sense, use alternate ui systems

I created a live wallpaper for wildfire here the download link its a bit ****ty quality but shows that live wlp work on it quite well ^^ but as a new user i cant post it -.-

Can it be rooted?

There are yet no methods for 2.3 rooting because the only device with 2.3 on the market right now is Nexus S which can be "rooted" using oem unlock command.

I am sure it will be in due time

I just recieved my Arc, tried zRoot and SuperOneclick, nothing able to root it.
Tested speed, Q total: 1663, CPU over 2000. This is great, flash works great, HD PLAYER is excellent, demo HD video play so smoothly on both phone and DEMO TV.
So far, I don't see need of root.

Ice cream sandwich launcher

Tried it out. Its lags all around but I like the launcher it self. Would be nice to see it run more smoothly. Also got alot of FC. To be expected though. Running IHO

Yea something about transfer setting the basic settings work though it is still in beta so I will update the apk as they make them

good jooob, (even tough u may not made it,) but its looks awesome but its sucks when using the button to right, its awefully bad, and shows recent apps, (i dont use or got mail, but its in recent list, how funny, )

The App is nice but I like using the ICS theme for ADW Ex better. It looks nicer and it has the real icons. If only I could get a stand alone app of the menu carousel and the keyboard!

for me the best themes are MIUI by Zdunex, White S, Atheme and ICS. I can't add a ss because my phone was conficated in my school. in Polish high school is a ban on the using phone. :/

I know that im Polish is well, but i moved to Ireland 2,5 yrs ago
stock rom - not rooted , cuz i brick it and need to do everything again..

Try LunarUi. The best theme. Find it on Market

What really looks nice IMO is Acheps ICSunday theme with M22 3D icons (can be found on the market) it looks like this:

Hello I was just came to an idea to change my system fonts.
Currently im running CM7 nightly from 1 January 2013.
I changed my fonts via app called ROM toolbox, to font named "Droid"
Of course did backup first as Rom toolbox suggested and rebooted. Simple and easy.
After i booted into system everything is fine, everything works as before, and one thing worked even better
That is taking screen shots In first attempt it takes good screenshot, not buggy as before :good:
So, i request some of you running CM7 nightly or other CM7 that have buggy screen shots, to test it. I think changing fonts fixed it somehow.
1. Install ROM toolbox
2. Go to "interface"
3. Tap "font installer"
4. Choose "Droid" font (or other idk, i chose droid )
5. Backup when it asks you
6. Reboot
And post results Thank you!
After some testing, bugged me like aprox. 4 screen shots of 29... Still better than it was!!

I thought if someone developing some rom based on CM7 and if this fix screen shot bug it might be helpful, anyway...
In my opinion its development based... however you go post wherever you want.

The mirroring during screenshots is related to a wrong offset value calculated in the second framebuffer. That's why it happens only half of the times (when it uses the 1st buffer it works correctly).
This commit fixed it on cm9, but it may help you for cm7 as well: https://github.com/simonomis/android_frameworks_base/commit/4dd2349ddcdc220de1951d86e8e6a252201193b9
So, it's not related to font
