Baseband reset question - Streak 5 General

I would like to update my Streak to the latest ATT build but since I previously updated to the baseband 00 build 318 release, the update fails with a baseband mismatch. My question is: will a factory reset (power on holding both volume buttons select factory reset) restore my device to its original baseband? (which in my case should be 31)

No

complete full total reset of galaxy S

Hi there, after some fun with several MIUI roms, I decided to go back to the stock rom, because I cannot live with Force Closes and reboots and reduced battery life
I entered in recovery mode and then wiped everything (system, data, cache, dalvik)
I installed (ODIN) JVQ 2.3.4 samsung firmware, but I found that the rom is not all that stable. Reading the forum, I found that maybe I wiped everything in the wrong way, so... now, in order to install the "official" JVR rom from samsung for gt-i9000, how should I move? is there a detailed guide to full wipe and then reinstall original rom?
thanks
I found the best way one of two ways:
1. If you are rooted, download a program from the market called 'SpoofFW' (Spoof Firmware). Follow the instructions to Spoof your firmware to the OFFICIAL firmware code of THE PREVIOUS ROM your carrier provided.
For example. Here in Canada, the current official firmware for Bell Canada is KG3 (2.3.3). The previous one was KC1 and Before that JL2 (Both 2.2). I told the program to spoof my SGS to JL2/KC1.
Once that operation was complete, I connected to KIES and immediately it said a new update was available to KG3. After the update process via KIES was complete, I went back into recovery mode and wiped the cache and wiped the data, in essence a complete factory reset.
2. Your other option is using ODIN. If you are familiar with ODIN (I guess you would be), download the previous version of the official STOCK firmware from either samfirmware or somewhere else, and install it on your phone. Once installed, do a factory wipe/cache wipe in recovery. Then connect to KIES for the upgrade.

[Q] Need help with wifi issue

Hey guys need some help to fix the wifi connectivity
I have just recently decided to take the risk and unlock my boot-loader which worked out successfully.....I also have the ClockworkMod Recovery installed....instead of flashing Gingerbread directly I installed the Cyanogenmod7 rom from here
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1336232
Then i tried fixing the dual mic issue for skype via lib-audio but on doing so it has messed up my wifi connectivity (it will not obtain the IP) so I was thinking of doing one of two things
1. SBF flash to froyo
2. SBF flash to 2.3.4 Gingerbread to fix the connectivity
but dont know which.....
NOTE: I did try flashboot 2.3.4 via http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1163342 but on system.img flash the command failed do not know why
Also I have been trying to do a clean flash of roms but for some reason all the folders within the internal drive persist and dont get deleted is there any way I can wipe the phone CLEAN...i did do the fastboot erase and all but it did not work.
Additional Info:
Android Version : 2.3.7
Baseband Version : N_01.77.06P
Kernel Version : 2.6.32.39-MB680...
Build Number : GWK74
Use CWM to reset.
Boot into android recovery and choose wipe data/factory reset.
You should have also done this initially when going from the factory rom to cm7.
I already did that but it did not change anything....
Okay i was able to flash the system.img of 2.3.4 and boot.img....then i reinstall CM7 and did the wipe cache and factory reset and the wifi is now not even scanning.....
PLEASE ANY HELP WOULD BE APPRECIATED!!!! THANKS

Installed 4.3 now cannot get to recovery

Hola!
Today, I installed the Vodafone UK 4.3 firmware over Kies. All good, but my phone felt like it could do with a good old refresh. So, I did a factory reset directly via the System Settings. All good.
Now I want to root, so I hold down power / volume down to get into download mode for Odin, but all I get is a recurring bootloop. It will not boot to recovery. If I let go of the buttons, it boots to system just fine.
I had TWRP installed, via GooManager, prior to installing 4.3 and the factory reset.
Any idea how I can restore either the default or customer recovery and get into download mode so I can re-root the phone?
Ta!

Instantly realised I'm an idiot - wrong key combo. Close the thread, please. Sorry for the inconvenience!

[Q] Baseband unknown

Hello,
I have a LG G2 F320L, it was super hard to root when I got it, nothing worked, except a Chinese app, and no rom would work, except 1 that was actually made for for the d802. Anyway, it was 4.2, and I needed an update to use some new apps. So after a lot of work, I finally could install Android 5.1 (Resurrection Remix), everything is fine, except my baseband is unknown (I can't call) I tried to download new baseband (I only found for 4.4), but when I restart it still shows baseband unknown. Should I install the baseband then re-install the Rom? Or is there something else I can do?
Thank you
edit:
Android version: 5.1.1
Rom: RR 5.4.5
Kernel: 3.4.0
And for the recovery I have twrp-2.8.6.1-f320
edit2:
I can't call but I can still use 3G and sens SMS.
edit3:
I tried to re-install, with full wipde (system, data, cache and dalvik) then install the rom, but still the same, baseband unknown.
edit4: Ok, was a rom problem I think, worked fine with another rom, sorry!

factory reset cause bootloop on new firmware, unless flashed back to old one

so I had the phone originally on stock,
later I flashed custom roms, after using non official firmware I had decided I am done with that.
so I flashed the Latest official release from Samsung, however.
doing factory reset cause my phone to go into boot loop, unless I flash the original software via odin.
doing factory reset on the old software, works fine.
I am suspecting that factory reset restore an image stored on the phone (which happen to be the old one).
how do I make sure that factory reset works on the latest release.
thanks
It happened to me and i fixed it by just booting into the recovery mode and wipe the cache and thats it give it a try and inform me
