[Q] Baseband unknown - G2 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello,
I have a LG G2 F320L, it was super hard to root when I got it, nothing worked, except a Chinese app, and no rom would work, except 1 that was actually made for for the d802. Anyway, it was 4.2, and I needed an update to use some new apps. So after a lot of work, I finally could install Android 5.1 (Resurrection Remix), everything is fine, except my baseband is unknown (I can't call) I tried to download new baseband (I only found for 4.4), but when I restart it still shows baseband unknown. Should I install the baseband then re-install the Rom? Or is there something else I can do?
Thank you
edit:
Android version: 5.1.1
Rom: RR 5.4.5
Kernel: 3.4.0
And for the recovery I have twrp-2.8.6.1-f320
edit2:
I can't call but I can still use 3G and sens SMS.
edit3:
I tried to re-install, with full wipde (system, data, cache and dalvik) then install the rom, but still the same, baseband unknown.
edit4: Ok, was a rom problem I think, worked fine with another rom, sorry!

auto rotate broken after flashing back to JB baseband

I tried flashing cloudystock and flashed the kitkat baseband for it but I was unfortunately greeted with the white and colored lines problem on it so I had to flash back to my aosp rom backup. Before I flashed my backup I made sure I flashed the jellybean baseband but now in my carbon install rotation isn't working. I've tried reinstalling the JB baseband again to no avail.rotation is still borked.I tried the flash in twrp 2.7 and philz touch and it still isn't working
EDIT: I fixed it. I made a fresh backup, wiped everything and clean installed my rom. Tested that 4otation worked which it did. I then booted back into recovery, wiped data and restored the data partition from my backup.rebooted and rotation is still working good. Something happened with the system partition that borked it. Luckily I was able to save everything
Which could be downloaded JB Basemand LG G2 D802?

[Q] TWRP error: This package is for device: d800, g2

I'm on the AT&T D800 LG G2 on the stock ROM. Whenever I try to flash a new ROM it gives me that error. What do I do?
What I've done to get here:
Use my G2 for a good while (back in Q3 2013)
Install Mahdi 4.4 on it after taking a backup - everything's good.
Fast forward to today
Now I want to update it to 5.0+
After taking a backup I wiped the caches, data and system partitions while keeping the internal storage, where I keep the ROMs and backups.
Attempted to install Blisspop, CM12 or Resurrection Remix - Every one of those gave me that error. EXCEPT when I tried to update to a newer version of Mahdi. No problem at all. This leads me to think Mahdi has somehow managed to only allow Mahdi ROMs to be installed.
Found the old backup before I flashed Mahdi, restored that. Now I'm back on an ancient stock ROM. (D800 10d)
Attempting to flash a new 5.0+ ROM gives me the same error. What is going on?
I thought it was something Mahdi had changed in the build.prop file, so that's why I restored to this old version but it's still not working.
Made a duplicate thread by mistake - How do I delete this one?

No rom is booting up properly

EDIT: the problem is solved, see my last post
Hey guys,
I'm not new to installing roms, as I did with my SGS 2 before. But I haven't done it for a long time and it's the first time I do it on my SGS 5... with no success at all.
The problem is that, out of all the roms I've tried, none of them boot up entirely without crashes. I've followed the instructions to the letter and I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong.
Here's what I had before starting to fiddle:
SGS 5 G900F, no specific carrier, bought in Europe
stock android/touchwiz 5.0, never rooted or anything
Here are the roms I have tried:
cynaogen 5.1.1 12.1 20150508 for klte + these gapps http://teambliss.x10host.com/BlissStalk/Gapps/ --> stays blocked on the samsung logo forever
BlissPop 5.1.1 v3.3 20150515 for klte + pa_gapps-stock-5.1-20150418-signed or pa_gapps-modular-full-5.1-20150418-signed --> google newstand and another google app are crashing in a loop during the setup, I can't tap any button
PAC 5.1.1 20150503 for klte + pa_gapps-stock-5.1-20150418-signed or pa_gapps-modular-full-5.1-20150418-signed --> the install wizard application itself is crashing in a loop
THe kernels I've tried:
KT-SGS5-LP5.1-AOSP-G900-05.02.2015
boeffla-kernel-2.0-beta8-CM12.1-g900f.recovery
My recovery:
twrp-2.8.6.0-klte (flashed with Odin, it works fine, and I could boot the stock rom without problems with it)
Any idea about the cause of the problem?
Thanks
I guess if you are not new to stuff like this, you have 100% wiped everything before flashing in TWRP recovery, and factory reset / wiped caches after flashing the ROM and Gapps?

Yes, before and between installing different roms, I wiped everything: system, cache, dalvik, internal storage
I've also flashed twrp previous version 2.8.5.0, and philz touch recovery. They all work fine, but still can't boot any rom
Strangely, I now works using this version of CM 12.1: http://forum.xda-developers.com/gal...ent/rom-cyanogenmod-12-1-android-5-1-t3066252
I have no idea why I had all these crashes and boot problems with the other 3 roms.
Cheers
Odd.

GT-I9505 not allowing any custom ROM after CM13??

Hi,
Yesterday I "blindly" installed the latest CM nightly without noticing that I was installing CM13... After the install, no Google App was working (as expected). When I noticed I had installed CM13, I tried downloading OpenGapps (all from nano to stock for ARM, -not ARM64-), and none of these can be installed, I always get an error (Status Code 1). After a lot of trying, I coundn't even make a wipe (I got an error while formatting data).
After flashing a stock ROM via Odin, the phone worked again, so I tried reinstalling. Now the issue I have is that I can't install any custom ROM to the phone, I have tried flashing CyanogenmodRecovery (for CM12 and CM13) and CWM 6.0.4.7, all of them let me install the latest CM12.2 nightly (26.12), but the phone always hangs on the Cyanogenmod Bootscreen. Wiping is not showing any errors anymore.
Any thoughts? Am I missing something? I am relatively new to the S4, and I got mine already with CM11 on it, and until yesterday I was always able to update without any issues... Am I missing some step?
Small update: I get some errors in the recovery logs: unable to mount /efs. I don't understand why I get this error when a OEM Kitkat works, but well, will keep trying, maybe I find a way to get it working...
1. Use TWRP, CWM is outdated.
2. "Nightly" realeases are testing firmwares. CM13 for GT-i9505 is in early releases too. They have lot of bugs still.
3. - Download the latest stable CM firmware: HERE and copy it to your SDCARD external + Gapps (ARM+ android 5.1 + nano).
- Go to DOWNLOAD MODE and flash TWRP. Boot in TWRP - Select Wipe - Advanced Wipe and wipe all (less usb-otg and external memory).
- Flash CM12.1 firmware and GApps then. Reboot and enjoy.
Use TWRP. Google for s4 twrp. On that page you will also have various install instructions. Afterwards you can flash pretty much any custom rom.
Well, tried exactly these steps, I only skipped gapps for now. I installed following version: cm-12.1-20151117-SNAPSHOT-YOG7DAO1JN-jfltexx. However the phone still hangs while booting... I will let it for a while and see if it boots, but I think it's still stuck... The stock Samsung Kitkat flashes properly from Odin and can be booted... Really strange. Is there anything I can do to see what's going on? I only get the Cyanogenmod Bootscreen, but no adb access...
Well, I am getting some errors: unable to mount /efs... This seems to be the problem, no idea why this is happening... I will keep looking around for a fix... I still don't quite understand why a stock KitKat works...

Try dowloading the rom from a thread here on the forum.
You didn't mention what phone model you got so I assume it is a GT-I9505. You can find the official thread in the I9505 original android development section. The maintainer is AntaresOne.
It is the GT-I9505, I now was able to install a stock Kitkat, and it now is allowing me to update via OTA, (first time I got a message that I had a "changed" phone and OTA was disabled). I will let it install this way and see what happens.
Last time I tried with TWRP I was getting the error "unable to mount /efs", but after flashing an ODIN ROM the phone works, I have LTE Data and can place and receive calls, IMEI is there, so I am now confused about what can be wrong.
When this OTA update works, I will try to reflash TWRP via Odin (and not mess around with heimdall anymore), and see if then I can install CM12...
I downloaded the version from the Cyanogenmod site, the latest stable CM12.1 release, so I guess it should be as good as downloading it from an xda thread...
I don't know. It's worth a try.
If you get errors about efs,be careful. The EFS partition contains the most important stuff like your IMEI.There are some backup/restore tools of EFS, you should check them out.Wipe everything, flash cm,then restore EFS backup.

SM-G350 keeps restarting after flashing debranded stock rom

Hi all,
I got SM-G350 branded by Play in Poland (PRT CSC). I've decided to debrand it and flashed stock 4.2.2 XEO rom. After that phone keeps restarting with no reason - sometimes it restarts directly into the recovery mode.
I've tried to flash PRT rom once again - didnt help. I'm also unable to do data/factory reset trough recovery - all settings and apps are still there. In recovery I see error message (attachment).
Is there any way to fix this?
I would like to use this phone for some special purposes (plugged in a car all the time with sim card for voice commands of anti radar software - Yanosik)
Well, first thing I will do in that situation would be installing twrp recovery, wiping cache, system, data etc. and formatting data then flashing again stock firmware. BTW is yanosik working on stock android 4.2.2? If yes then you should try flashing custom rom. Performance of this phone on stock rom is so bad...
