I don't know what you're asking for

Flashed MDJ's CM7 and have that up and running so I'm guessing it's something with the ROM package I was trying to flash beforehand? Even though I have a ROM functioning now, I would still like to know what the problem/error I was getting means

Just reset your phone, hold volume down when turning back on to enter tri coloured bootloader, then run the ruu of the stock/custom Rom you are wanting to put on
Then just do the exact same thing I did before?

Okay well I reflashed a wm rom and used the same mgldr as before but now it wont even load that to the mgldr screen. I don't understand how I screwed up something so easy... I'm so lost

anyone else finding the 5.0.2 Rom Manager failing when trying to back up?

Open the market and look for ROM Manager, install it to get the latest version. That should fix any issues you might have.

4.4.0.7 is the newest version showing in my market, which is the version I have, but it says there's an update available when I open rom manager, anyone know how I can update it?
Unlocked oc'd alien atrix
Open ROM Manager and check the version on the app title, it should say "ROM Manager (Premium if you have it) v4.4.0.7".
If you are prompted to update, it's probably a CWM update, touch flash CWM button and let it do its thing.
thx everyone..still unsure as to what was the cause, but i completely wiped w/ fastboot and then reinstalled my backup thru cwm..after that rom manager functions normally. thx
I have/had the same issue. When I tried to backup from inside the gui it booted into recovery and failed. I just tried the manual mode and it is working fine.
I did try to apply an addition to the default date/time name of the recovery image, does anyone know if there is a file name length/characters/spaces restriction on the recovery image name?
Had the same problem. Only happens when I try to flash thru ROM manager tho. If I boot and hold volume down all is good.

same problem. reverted back to the previous cwm version, and now it works

You are not clear. When you get into usb flasher mode, is the last line 'usb.....usb'?
And which zip files are you talking about? CWM is flashed with DAF.exe.
In case you are confused, zip files are installed via the CWM
I ment the cwm file I downloaded to my computer after magldr I tried to run cwm I kept getting error

Fine example of a useless post.....WHAT ERROR? Or are you saying there's no error popped up on screen? And if there isn't, then TELL us that!" ? Good grief, when you go to the doctor and say "my arm hurts" you don't make them guess which arm do you?or go to a bar and when asked what you want, you don't answer "a drink", you give INFO, without it you're wasting your time and ours, and its even more needed here than either of those stupid similes.

Hello and welcome.
You need to provide more details to get any help.
No. 1: did you try to download the file (rom) again and retry?
If not try it!
otherwise...
What type hd2 do you have? tmous or eu?
What rom were you trying to install?
What method did you use to install?
Are you using clk, magldr or just stock win mobile?
anything else you think is relevent...
Regards

So magldr was installed?
And recovery? So have you tried to install from recovery, (install zip from sdcard option)?
You can also try and install stock win mobile 6.5 for your device by putting the LEOIMG.nbh file on sdcard and holding volume down button while booting. This will help to determine if you have a hardware issue.
Edit: apologies, I misread your second post, task 29 failed !
Seems like the toolkit is not working. Can you get to magldr screen? ( press and hold power button). If so just do a full wipe and install the ROM zip from magldr recovery.

Try to install win mobile from sdcard. Go to HTC site and download the correct version for your phone and install as mentioned above..
