[ROMS] Official ACER F1 (S200) roms

Available Languages : EN, DE, ES, FR, IT, PT, RU
/you may have a problem during update - "Key failure..." or something like this (for EN version). Then use RU image, extract it (use 7zip) and put EXTROM.bin and FLASH.bin in the same folder (replace)... after- enjoy/

Yes... Use other installation... now... download RU image. Use 7zip to extract the installation (yes, you can). Download ENG image. Extract it from same way. Been trying to reinstall acer version but after following above i keep getting SKU language fail, device=1.002d.00_EN_IN
Image version=2.003.00_RU
Any ideas?

Looks like there are different EN versions.

Hi,
I bought Acer S200 from francem the issue is OS language is French, i liked the phone a lot so insted of returning it want to check possibility if i can change the language to EN.
Please let me know if it is possible and how to do if possilbe.

First you download ROM image -> ftp://ftp.acer-euro.com/smartphone/s200/os_images/
Than run .exe, will appear a window, which will guide you through ROM update.

I tried the option you have stated in your post , i have downloaded the OS image in EN but when i try to update my phone i get the message stating the OS language is not matching then the wizard shows finish btton not the next button , please suggest what to do.
My Phone OS is french i want to change it to English OS.

i Tried this as well but getting registration key error , currently the OS on my phone is S200_1.002C.00_FR.

can i downgrade my acer s200 from 2.003.01_FR_SFR to 2.003.00_FR ?

I know from past symbian phones that certain israel providers use 850 on 3g.
Does this modem support that frequency and if not can you find any froyo modem for 9000m or 9000t cause those do.

In the title, can you change [R] to [ROM]? R isn't understood by many people.

i've been using this version for few days now (dumped from another orange israel device)
what's hot
RTL support is nearly perfect:
gmail reversed hebrew lables is fixed
mail app now aligns hebrew text to the right as should
sms hebrew perfect
if location set to hebrew dialer has heb/eng smart dialing search
swype supports heb/rus/arabic/english
also includes samsungs snap n' go program
what's not
android menus on hebrew are ugly as hell since alignments is to the left.
calendar shows all event from the left.
usb debugging mode is translated as "fix bugs in usb"
speed wise i didn't notice any difference from jpo.
gps looks to be the same, sucks in my tracks, works with waze.
csc contains some garbage from orange, can be easily removed with titanium and root.

sorry for being a noob, but can I ask what it means when it is converted to a middle package?
(I have a fixed 3BR phone - does this have anything to do with the low package you talked about that can bring back the no 3br fix?)

I installed it over JME over Odin. The only problem is that the internal SD was formated during installation. Tab booted with Russian language but other are available through Settings. I find it working at the same speed as JME.

Thank you, i´m afraid that the bootloader is signed . So i will have to wait to a unsigned one.

Could someone who has flashed this please post a list or screenshot of the languages available in the ROM please? Thanks.

I haven't got my Tab at hand now but the list contains all European languages. The problem is that there is no CSC other than SER so you are not able to change it to something else.
I replaced original CSC with one from JME and successfully change it to XEO.
In addition ROM contains few more applications which I haven't seen so far in previous versions but they are destined for Russian market.

SGS system language

Hi to all!
I'm kinda new here but looking arround for a while and have a question
After upgrading my SGS to 2.3.3 (Belgian release, updated via KIES and still original) I lost the Cyrillic language (Russian) in the phone system for the text input. I tryed some custom keyboards from the market but because this language is out of my system these don't work too.
Is there some way to get the Cyrillic language back into my phone's system white out using a custom rom because I would like to keep my device original.

I do not wanna flash nor use another firmware on my device. Only looking for a possebility to get back the Cyrillic (Russian) language into the device's system.

Unless you flash a firmware which contains the system language, the simple answer is no. Sorry

I have installed the Handsent SMS app. together with the Gingerbread Keybord from the market and problem solved!

it Looks like this Rom is for the Italien market (not sure) but you can choose by the flashtool Default csc DBT, ATO,BTU,ITV,XEF,XEO
step by step instruction:
1. Download Flashtool+Driver and ROM with CSC file.
2. Install Driver on your PC (i had problems with win 8.1 X64, win7 X64 installation fine)
3. Put your phone in Download modus
Shut down your phone
press and hold volume up + camera button and press shortly power button (still hold volume up and camera buttons!)
download modus must appear.
4. Start flashtool and load Rom (.WP8 file) and csc file into the flashtool
in the yellow folder load Rom. (.WP8 file)
in the green folder load CSC file
5. Choose your default CSC Code under DL Options-->CSC sale Codes. (for example DBT is Germany)
6. Plug in your phone to your PC over USB cabel.
7. Press start in the flashtool (if you cant press start, something wrong with drivers or phone--PC connection)
Flashtime about 10 min....
I am NOT responsible for any damage to your device!
You do everything on your own risk!

I took a quick look but haven't investigated yet. Unfortunately, I have the other model of ATIV S - the T899M - and there's no way I'm going to risk flashing an I8750 ROM onto it; that never ends well. On the other hand, I *would* be very interested in Samsung WP8 flashing tools. One of the biggest problems my phone has is that its firmware is badly outdated and there seems to be no updates for it (the I8750 has had at least two updates so far, one of which fixed a known issue that also affects my phone and breaks WiFi tethering).
Obviously, the interest in custom ROMs is also quite significant. We'll have to wait and see about that, though.

I think that the ativ's bootloader is locked. Huawei coders could miss checking a signature, but not samsung, I think. But who knows?

Oh, it's undoubtedly locked. All WP8 devices are supposed to have locked bootloaders. However, that doesn't mean we can't find bugs in those systems to let us past the signature checks, or to let us replace the bootloader entirely, anyhow. This was possible (via various approaches) on devices from multiple different OEMs (including Samsung) with WP7.

Seems people have already tried it out and it works fine on their I8750s. Haven't tried it myself yet as I'm still downloading the ROM.

The rom XBME1 is free and is Italian but CSC allows many countries.

The radio is not included. Data sense, etc is installed. Ativ Beam works fine
