Simple question. Does trackball on mouse work? - Galaxy Tab General

Spend a lot of time reading a lot of Bluetooth mouse related posts but can't find an answer to my question. Does the scroll wheel/ball on a Bluetooth mouse work on the tab? Meaning if I am in a long webpage, will I be able to scroll? If you have a mouse with a scroll wheel that can move left & right as well as up & down, are you able to scroll between homescreens? What about scrolling in the app drawer. Please include the name of your mouse. I'm really interested in getting an Apple mouse with a trackball. Thanks everyone.

A way to change whhen use? do u fin the wheel useful?

I was v excited about this phone having a wheel, but its not all that great. Do you all find it useful, and in what ways?
Is there a way to change the scroll wheen so it smoothly screen down the screen in opera for instance? At the moment scolling takes so long that I: find it better to use the stylus on teh scroll bar and drag the window down.
I think the wheel is absolutely great!
However, you should be aware that the wheel is only "connected" to the up and down buttons. It's up to the software to make it usefull...
I also find it very handy. Wheel (up-down and press) and OK button right above it gives perfect control while reading, serfing Internet and even reading e-mails, etc. Several days and you'll be wondering how you've managed to live without it.
The scroll wheel and the left OK button together make a wonderful one-handed pair for navigating the Today Screen.
On the Today Screen, pressing the OK button opens the Start Menu, and then you can navigate/select using the wheel.
Fantastic!

maybe its stupid but please help touch screen issue

hey guys
I know it might be stupid, but I need an answer
Sometimes on the vista side I use my fingers. SO whenever I touch the fringer with my finger a shape of a mouse appears, which is really annoying to me since I find it difficult to use my vista side with the sape of a mouse under the pointer.
Please help me get rid of this mouse shape, which settings should I adjust so the pointer does not show a mouse everytime I touch the screen
dude no questions stupid
go into control panel
double tap pen and input devices
now tap on the last tab called touch.
bottom section remove tick from touch pointer
that mouse was bloody anoying. prehaps on a bigger screen it may have come in handy......

[Q] Keyboard on longpress menu key

Hi all,
I really miss the keyboard popup from a longpress on the menu key from Android v1.6.
Anyone found a way to implement this on the 2.2?
Its a big help when using things like emulators that want a keyboard.
that would be interesting to know... especially when searching for songs i'd appreciate to have this function
yeah I've searched everywhere for a solution to this problem and I'm really surprised at the lack of interest in this. If you are in an app that needs a text input but doesnt display a text field, then there's no way of opening the keyboard! And I cant seem to find any way to map a keypress to keyboard either, there seem to be lots of examples of how to map key presses to apps, or search, but not the keyboard.
Phones with physical keyboards have a definite advantage here.

xoom + usb camera kit + mouse = limited use

ok I know there are a ton of threads about if a wireless usb mouse will work with the Motorola Camera Connection Kit.
Yes a usb mouse does work (at least for me) with the camera usb connector, but what I've yet to find on here and my searches was that your limited on what the mouse actually does.
I guess this is still a software and Android OS limitation, but I was hoping I might have some functionality with the mouse other that just move/point click (all buttons on my win mouse are just normal click function) while the mouse wheel scrolls.
Is there anyway to configure the mouse's buttons for different key commands? I was really hoping to be able to use my mouse's previous/forward button in the default browser.
any apps that might configure or assign key commands to the mouse on honeycomb 3.2?

Click to collapse
Not sure but I'd also like to know how to change the mouse cursor - it's kind of small and also if anyone knows where the cursor files are stored?
I use a Logitech V470 BT Mouse and also get click n' drag and some right click function depending on which app I'm in.

Is there a way to use multi-touch gestures with a mouse?

I want to do some simple things like zoom and scroll using a mouse. It's a Logitech M510 - 5 buttons with scrolling mouse wheel. Anyone know of a way to do this? I have root and Xposed on 2.1 stock ROM. Thanks
