If you're referring to the IMEI, it's illegal to mess with it.
Changing/cloning the IMEI is an illegal practice and as such, talks about this are not allowed. Thread closed.

Yup, you can flash it all you want but if the ESN# doesn't come up in Verizon's system they won't let it near their network.
oh okay. thanks, i currently own a fascinate and love it, however I could really use a FFC. I guess now I lost all hope :-(
Can't you manually alter the esn and imei #'s (using qpst or cdma workshop) with values that are on verizon's list?

Yes. Information is hard to come by because it's illegal in the US, but it's quite doable.

Yeah, googling that doesn't give a complete step by step on how to do it or anything.
i would like to get the HTC EVO 4G on Boost mobile. how can i do this?
It can be done, but through illegal means. You have to take the esn from a donor boost phone and clone it onto the evo. Like I said, illegal but do-able.

Changing the IMEI is illegal. No one here will help you do this.
But there is no need to change the imei if you're going to send it to repair?

^ Exactly what Yamthief said. Also, this is the wrong forum, this is a development only forum, questions like this should be in the general section.
its out of law
There seems to be something wrong... if the IMEI only shows 5555555 then that's more than a excuse to send it to warranty AS IS.
Restore it to stock, and send it.
Change IMEI while (teoretically) possible is 99.999% of the times illegal, and done due to a previous illegal act (theft etc). So don't ask for that here...
I think there are original imei written behind battry covr i never opened

Anyone know how to do this on VZW? It can be done on the TMobile variants, but it's different on VZWs G2s for some reason
The first thing you should try is not posting questions in the general section.

To block your number on VZW you have to enable the service on your account. I believe it's under your plan or something. After you enable it your number will be blocked from caller id. If you want it to show, you will have to hit *82 then area code then number.

I guess I didn't explain this well enough. i would like to block certain incoming calls on my G2. I was able to do that on both my Galaxies and
my DNA, but I can't seem to find that option within the call settings.

My bad. I haven't found any setting either. Might have to use a 3rd party app for that. The only thing I can say is that if you have the number stored in your contacts, you can select ' go straight to voicemail'. I do know that some ROMs have that feature, like CM.

The aosp dialer has the option to blacklist specific numbers and wildcards but I've never seen a stock dialer that did.

You have the option to send strait to voice mail. That's pretty much like blocking a call
