Recently my phone was acting weird, the phone wouldn't charge in USB mode, and when I disconnected the cable it still thought it was in USB mode, the next day it went from a full charge to off in a few hours. After then it refused to charge, with the side light blinking. It sent off for a repair/replacement to the place I bought it from clove technology.
Just wondering if any one has had this problem, or has ever dealt with clove and their experience when dealing with them.
I had a similar problem. I notice a lot of people here are having such issues...
I my case the solution was to keep the charger connected for about 5/6 hours, after which the battery was charged 5%. After that it took a few more hours to be completely charged, but since then there were no problems.
My unit is bought from Clove also but is working well. Mine is UK unit.

5/6 hours, wow that's determination, i think i charged it for 2 hours before sending it off to the place i bought it from.
I bought mine from an authorized dealer in malaysia, and I had the same problem. The charge light was blinking in rapid motion, and the phone failed to charge. Upon replacing the part, they noticed a problem with a component on the motherboard thats draining too much power. They gave me a new unit there after. Touch wood no problems with that. Some searching around got me to notice these problems have plagued the milestone range eversince, n motorola hasn't rectified it yet

I had given my Touch HD for replacing the digitizer. After it came back from the customer care center, I faced a problem with the battery. As soon as i plugged it in for charging, I noticed the orange light- that usually shows the charging mode. But after 6-7 seconds, the light goes off and the battery never gets charged. Even after I charged the phone for 4-5 hours, when i try to switch it on.. it says low battery and switches off. I visited the customercare again with the same problem. The person there said the battery was to be blamed and he ordered a new battery for the same. That poor battery never arrived, even after a good 20 days waiting. That is when i ordered it from UK. Now, I recieved the battery a week back and the same problem persists. I am sick of this cell now. I would be grateful to anyone who has a solution for this.

Hi
Problem of the circuit device to be charged
If I were you, I'd buy a universal lithium charger. You can get one on eBay for as low as 2.80 USD. I would recommend an online company called bestofferbuy.com because it has several for under 2.60. My personal favorite one there is one shaped a penguin that can recharge either via USB or AC. It is available at:
http://www.bestofferbuy.com/universal-cell-phone-lithium-battery-charger-with-usb-power-port-ac-110v240v-p-26225.html
The charging USB dongle on my phone broke and when I asked a friend about his recommendation, he asked if I had searched for a universal lithium charger. I went to froogle.com, performed the search and found bestofferbuy.com. Basically, if you look at any universal lithium charger, it will have two posts that you "line up" with terminals on your battery. When the lithium charger senses a correct alignment, a light will come on. When charging, those lights will flash until the battery is fully charged. Then the lights will come on steady. I have bought two chargers from there as I like to keep one in my overnight bag.
If you do a search on eBay, I'd recommend you use "lithium charger" as it will show the lowest priced models. Then, look the sellers that offer a USB and a/c models. You should not pay over 2.80 USD (shipping included).
So, I just replaced my second Epic due to the charger port going out and no longer charging on the phone. I knew it was happening Saturday because the symptoms were the same as before. The phone thought it was charging and even counted up, but as soon as it was unplugged, it dropped faster than normal, or a restart made it *reset* to the actual phone battery level.
Today, it would not even recognize the charger at all. Luckily, Sprint had a replacement for me in-store this time, so no week wait.
Has anyone else experienced this problem?

I think mine is going bad too. Sometimes it charges and sometimes it doesn't ... did they charge you to replace your phone? How long you've had it for?

I bought mine pre-order and picked it up the day it came out from Best Buy. My first replacement was right at the one year mark. This last one didn't last a year, but since it's refurbished, there's no way to tell how much wear there may have already been on the port.
I have insurance through Sprint, there was no charge.
So, I received my Nexus 7 16gb last Friday from Ebuyer in the UK and it exhibits image retention like no LCD device I've ever owned - exactly like the photos of pre-release Nexus tablets that were doing the rounds. Just a few minutes with the keyboard or a UI button on the screen and it'll burn in for a few minutes.
Someone on another forum suggested that the problem could be power-related and therefore the battery could be the issue.
My N7 arrived arrived with about an 80% charge so all I've done since then is put it on charge for a few hours at a time to top it up. The lowest I'd got to was 14%. I decided that I'd completely discharge the battery and then leave it on charge until it was at 100%. I left it running a pixel fixing app until it got to about 12%. I then watched some of Transformers, expecting it to warn me when it got below 5% but the thing just shut off completely after about 30mins and wouldn't turn back on.
I left it charging for 6hrs overnight while turned off using the included charger. This morning it had only reached 28% BUT the ghosting seems to be gone.
Now, I'm not sure if it's fixed. I had to dash off to work so didn't have time to play, but will see what it's like when I get home. It also bothers me that it only managed a 28% charge in 6hrs, but maybe the battery calibration was completely wrong to start with?
Unfortunately I've now noticed that my screen is coming unstuck on the left hand side like a lot of other people Guess mine just took a few days longer for the glue to work itself loose.
I know a few other people on here have the ghosting problem - maybe you can try something like this and see if it helps.

I spoke too soon - arrived home after leaving it on charge for over 20hours. Device was 100% charged and still ghosting like crazy. Using a live wallpaper helps, but doesn't fix it when e.g. switching between application launcher and apps. My screen is also starting to lift quite badly so I think I'm sending this back.
I'm sold on the device though - for the money it's the best option out there. Wouldn't entertain a Playbook or a Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 at the same price - performance and display resolution on the Nexus are awesome. Just wish I'd waited a few months until the bugs are ironed out.
Hi there, I was wondering if anyone else is experiencing issues with their wireless charging pad? I put my s5 on the pad at night and when I wake up the orange light is flashing and phone is at around 92%. I assume when the phone hits 100% the charger shuts off and doesn't keep phone charged.
Anyone else experiencing this issue?

Sometimes the wireless chargers DO take a long time to fully charge the item. IMHO, it is still a new technology, and has leaps and bounds to go before it is perfect. Still in the consumer testing phase?

Hi there, it definitely charges to 100% as I've tested it. However, when it's been sat on the charging pad at 100% for say 30 mins, an orange light starts flashing and the phone is no longer being charged, so my phone is probably 100% charged by say 3 am, but then loses charge. Not sure of this is normal cause if it is then it's a major flaw in the whole wireless charging concept that samsung is implementing.
I do not have this issue but another person on this forum has posted about it. IMO it's a defective pad or receiver

I agree, it is probably defective.
Because they are supposed to stop charging after the device is fully charged. They are programmed to do that. But they are not supposed to lose charge afterwards. I would contact the company you bought it from, and ask to exchange it for a new one.

Hi guys, thanks for all the replies, ive sent it back to the place i bought it from for a replacement. Fingers crossed the new one will work!
Hi all.
This morning I woke up as usual and tried to unplug my phone from the charger with one hand. It didn't un plug.
I had to force unplug because charger plug melted inside the phone usb port.
A black smoke came out from the charger plug
The result is an unusable nine months old phone, a burned out night stand, and its original cable (with original charger) completely melted inside the phone.
It's a luck it happened in the morning.
I see someone else did already have the same issue.
LG shoud think about it. Maybe there is a defective stock of cables that should be checked and replaced.
Cheers,
David.

I just bought mine last November 2016 and I'm aware of this issue before i got my phone. Since i got mine, i didn't attempt to charge it overnight because of this issue. I just charge my phone while i'm preparing to get to work and by the time i'm ready to go out (which takes me 30 mins to prepare) as nexus 5x has quick charge capability which is really fast, from 15% to 85% in just 35-40 mins.
Although phones should be really handle the charging limit once the battery hits 100%, but i think the charger (which has a 3.0A) can't do this. Do you still have your warranty up? its better to send your phone to LG with the charger and they might issue you a new phone.

Actually, you shouldn't care about time charging. When phone is fully charged, the charger should turn off or not charge the phone.
It's more than ten years I charge devices in the night. Never ever happened a thing like this.
I'm curious what LG will answer to me......
I also charge my previous phone (Sony Xperia Z3 Compact) every night and plugged it out in the morning. But When i heard that Nexus 5x has this issue, i just charge my phone before i go in the office, since i'm fully utillizing its fast charging feature.
I already read some thread here and there are some particular model of chargers that doesn't pass some test.
My charger model is: DONGDO (MCS-N04ED)
My Phone Unit: LG-H791
It happened to my phone before, with the usb a to c cable from Google, I charged it from a notebook usb port, and soon after, I smelled some plastic burning. The device was unplugged, and the phone charge normally with another cable over usb or with a wall socket. I called Google and they are willing to exchange for a new cable
I charge mine every night for a year with stock charger and never had problems

Maybe this issue is isolated only for some specific unit. what's your device model?
