Hello guys, ive just installed MCCM GB V1.7.1 Sense Gingerbread [KERNEL:AmeriCanAndroid r2.6] and i tried posting in that topic but it didnt let me,so i posted here.Anyways the things is everything runs smoothly and good, but ive noticed since i put the rom in the sounds is lower then its supposed to,is there anyways i can make the sound of the phone, like ringtones and etc to the highest?max?
You need to have at least ten posts in order to post inside of the development forum. As far as the low volume you can try this for your speaker
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=923748
As far as the headset you can try audiohack I've heard it works and that it doesn't. I personally can't give an opinion on it I never tried it myself but if you want to give it a go you can find it here.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=517745
none of those works.thanks

hello to all, I just wanna start this thread to ask for help on some issues I've com across and also to say that I am not very satisfied with the results I'm getting from my device.
first off, I have been an iphone fanboy for tha past 2-3 years, I admit it, I'm not ashamed, the iphone was great, it did everything i wanted, specially music wise, it was perfect, but it got old really fast and after a while there was nothing more i could mod.
recently I changed to a t-mobile HD2, i was impressed at the beginning, I mean as far as hardware goes, it completely blows the iphone, but...I started reading and flashing WMroms, and i couldn't find something that i liked, windoes was wayyy to complicated for averyday use, the remote on the headphones only worked with the sense music player, the eyecandy was not par to iphone or android, etc...that and other issues made me change to android.
now here is where i need help, i LOVE android, it is beautiful and more useful and powerful than the iphone, but it has so many issues i cant even start.
i flashed this android nand yesterday [Feb 02][DL DesireZ v3.4][DL Data2SD/Ext4 v2.7][Nand/SD/MAGLAR] and found all these problems.
no remote support for headset
volume rockers don't work when phone is locked and music is playing
can't find equalizer on music app
the android store works but doesnt install the apps
and the auto rotate really sux
the funny thing is that the creator of this rom says that everything is working
can anyone lead me to an android nand that really works perfectly or are these hardware issues, any help will surely be appreciated, if the thread is in the wrong place please move it.
thnx !!!!
These are not hardware issues.
The headset may be proprietary to sense so may not work else where.
I don't think the stock music app has an equalizer but you can try many different music player apps. Winamp is a good one.
Not sure what the problem may be here on the market.
Also not sure on auto rotate.
Flash other roms, there are tons and tons of good roms. The HD2 has tremendous android support, if one doesn't fit your tastes, try another.
OK, First off. You're the only one facing these problems, because I've used that Rom for a few hours and everything worked (except the volume while locked)
Since you're an iPhone previous user, you may love Windows Phone 7 .
Windows Phone 7 and iOS have a lot in common. So head over here and flash it . (Click here for more ROM's)
And use it, remember that the Live services are not working, but hey If you like it I will provide you with an activation code .
If you didn't, I suggest you try MDJ's gingerbread .. they are great ..
We are sorry for the inconvenience you may have faced, have fun

thank you for your reply, its great to know im not the only one with these issues. I already did a lot of reserch on Windows Phone 7 and definitely its not my cup of tea, i love personalizing my phone and windows phone 7 would make me feel like a child with my hands tied. I will definetly stick to android and try out your suggestion. thnx !!
try this build: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=877777
should try something that's most discussed and/or used...i am not saying the one you re using is no good, b/c i never tried that one before. but definitely try MDJ's, it works for me in the past month for everyday uses.
Hi there Experts ,
I hope this finds you all in the best of our health.
Im a newbie and this is my first post on this forum.
I have a little issue in both my android HTC HD2s.
All the people that I talk to complain of a lot of Echo( they hear their own voices echo) when talking to me on HTC HD2/Cyanogen 7 Gingerbread 2.3 on SD and it only happens in Android. Seems like there is a lot of Microphone Gain. I can hear even tiniest sounds reverberate and bounce back ad forth.
I've tested it and call quality is OK in Windows Mobile( remember im running my Android on an SD Card on top of Windows.....its not a NAND Install) .
Have you ever come across a situation like this?
Is there a config or a setting that Im over looking?
I know Cyanogen 7 Mod/GingerBread 2.3 is awesome.
So must be something Im doing wrong.
Help folks!!!!!!!!!
thanks,
King A. Koopa
so i renamed default.acdb file in /system/etc/firmware to XXXdefault.adcb and restarted my machine.
Its half past 2 in the morning right now , so i could only test with my other phone and works great.
Ill post more results tomorrow morning when i call my buddies to test it.
I hope this is it !
King !
Hi I cannot rename this file but I dont have permissions.
Ok let me start off by saying I am NOT a dev. I am just a normal guy who can ocasionally follow instructions off the internet. I was able to get MIUI for the i9000 booted on my Captivate. This MIUI rom is ported over from the Nexus.
All I did was followed the instructions from the MIUI thread in the i9000 forums:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=992251
Just subsitute the captivate equivalent files from CM7. After you do these steps and Flash MIUI Beta 3 it will install a i9000 kernel and modem. You will have to go after the initial steps and install a captivate CM7 Kernel and Modem.
I wont be updating this thread, because I don't have the time. If a Dev wants to streamline this more for the captivate please do. I just wanted to share some info on how I got the MIUI from the i9000 thread running on my captivate. Fill free to use this thread for any MIUI related banter that can further help this Rom run smoother on our phones.
what are the bugs?
like I said I wont be updating this thread at all. I just wanted to let some know that it is possible to get it working on the captivate. to get a full bug list you will either have to install the rom yourself and figure out or wait for someone to report a list. what I have seen so far though is ringtones, and autorotation. I haven't played with it too much, but I was able to fix the ringtone issue be using a rintone app from the market download a ringtone. Also I believe the i9000 thread has a what is and what isn't working list also.
For people who where begging for MIUI this looks to have allot more promise. And it is gingerbread. Have not tried it out yet
CM7
I installed it on my Captivate and its actually running pretty smoothly, in fact its actually pretty fast I haven't even seen any lag. I'm on beta 4.
Here is what works:
-Texting
-Wi-fi
-Browser
-SD cards
Not working:
-I'm having problems downloading apps from the market, they don't seem to be downloading but if download the app you want then reboot the phone the app will be successfully installed.
-The sound only works if you plug the headphones into the phone and when you do that the sound comes from the speaker and not the headphones, however if you plug the headphones only about half way in then the sound will come out of the headphones.
-The sound problem does have an effect with the phone calls because the person on the other line can hear you but you can't hear them on the account of the headphones not being plugged in.
-The back key and search key are not working I guess because its made for another phone but idk. The home key acts as a back key. The menu key works fine.
-If you want to auto-rotate the screen then you'll have to go to the notification bar and tap the auto-rotate icon to turn it on, it does not automatically do it when you turn your phone over.
That's all I got, idk if there is a setting for the sound problem or something but I can't get it to work properly.
Just wanted to tell you guys how much Miui was working on our cappys and hopefully it can be fully working rom in some time.

This looks promising. Don't most i9000 ROMs have these issues when installed as-is onto a Captivate? Seems like it could be ported over just like most other i9000 ROMs.
But then again I'm no dev, and I could be completely and terribly wrong.
Did you install the CM7 cappy kernel?
Sent from my SGH-T959 using XDA App
are you talking about the cm7-captivate-initial-kernel? or something else?
Cappy kernel needs to be reflashed.

Any CM7 kernel should work as long as it is for the captivate.
Ok so ill reflash that...Ill also have to flash a cm7 modem right? know where I can find that?
Go to the cm7 thread, and go to teamhacksungs website. Should be a full list of modems.

Yes, you can find it all from the CM7 download site. you can find the link in the CM7 thread.
so is anyone else trying this? The rom I mean

I tried it yesterday, hence the reason for this thread lol, but didn't really like it. Went back to CM7 with launcherpro plus. I missed my LP Plus widgets too much.
lol im just suprised how this thread isnt that popular
It'll get more popular as things get sorted out with the ROM itself. I've been running it for the last couple days (since beta 2), and if you install the CM7 Captivate kernel and a compatible modem (I like JL3), it's really pretty stable. The apps don't see media files, and afaik there are still some SD card issues, but if you can get past those it's not that hard to use as a daily.

It was/is very much a daily driver since data/phone/wifi all work, I just didn't like the feel of it. It took me back to my iPhone days which started to scare me a bit. lol
Yep I think jl3 works the best, I now have the rom pretty much fully functional and I just installed another media player app so it could find my music. MIUI is really amazing looking
Eh it does look like the iphone kind of but I was just getting tired of all the same "looking" roms and wanted something different
Interesting. CM7 has been without a nightly for a few days, I'm up for something new
So once we get the i9000 version running, just go into odin and flash a CM7 captivate kernel/modem? That should fix all the i9000->captivate issues, correct?
I am using TyphooN CyanogenMod 7 Nightly v3.3.5 on my HD2... and I am running into the famous loud in call volume issue....
Having fewer posts, I am unable to post in the Nand developer page and that is why I am posting this here...
any solution or workaround for it?
i must be the only typhoon user who finds the call volume too low,,,,
are you talking about the "In Call Volume" or the Ringer phone volume in General ?
My phone Ringer Volume is somehow low... but the "In Call Volume" is terribly high... I have to press Volume Up key during any call and then press it down as the only workaround for now :S
nah, everything, ringtones not bad, but its not nearly as loud as winmo, same playing anything through speaker, i have to really choose ringtones/notifications for impact else i miss them, same during calls, really have to listen to hear teh otehr person, if teh speaker is just slightly away from my ear hole i cant hear. (No im not deaf, no its not the phone, winmo wp7 work fine) Just for me android in general is quiet, always has been.
strange..... most of the nand androids & my HD2 are really frustrating (to me, and each has its own bugs)... I've shifted now to NexusHD2 Gingerbread 2.7 (also discovered several bugs so far...) I may consider selling my HD2 ASAP and going for a real Android phone :S and root it after...
NB: as an update to my initial post, the volume issue seems to be solved with the NexusHD2 Gingerbread 2.7 (at least on my HD2 handset).. while I am having weird issues with my contacts on the GIngerbread 2.7: the following message is one of the funny messages that appear next to my contacts phone numbers while dialing them "Erase all the phone's data without warning"... (btw, I use Dejaoffice to sync my outlook contacts to my Android phone, which was working flawlessly on TyphooN CyanogenMod 7 Nightly but not apparently on Gingerbread..); second, "One dialer" never remember the "make default" and I always have to keep on choosing it

but mate, one dialer was working perfectly on CM7 TyphooN....
briefly, buggy HD2 Nands... I wouldn't recommend to go for them for any pro phone user who counts on little bugs and small details and performance... they are all experimental from my point of view
Forgot to add that all efforts that are made here by all the developers are really appreciated a lot... and I hope I won't be misunderstood with my above comments.... We still count a lot on this perfect forum and net place and definitely Nands Android will be improved day after day !
If you take the /system/lib/libaudio.so and /system/etc/firmware/default.acdb from a rom that you are happy with, you should be able to "transplant" them into yours resulting in different volume levels (Just make sure you give it the correct permissions then restart).
This does depend on what kernel you use but normally it works!
Hope this helps

deano309- I'm going to try and transplant the files you cite above from my stock rom to a CM7 port and just want to make sure- I assume I want to give the files full permissions?
Thanks!
Hello Everyone!
I just want to say some words about my experience with Insanity.
I got my sgs ~3 months ago and i tried a almost all the cooked roms.
I started with darky, that was the first I've installed then I found this forum and tried almost everything(only GB roms).
but I sticked to insanity cause thats all i want very simple only a few apps are installed and its kinda fast. Then I realized that this blueish screen is awful. I started to look after kernels with voodoo color. first i tried glitch that caused my first BSOD i was very scared but I then i was able to fix it. Then I used Fugumod for a while that was allright original CM led notifications worked perfectly it was fast but I had some problems like when I charged my phone the screen became funny i have to pull off the cable to be able to write a sms message. Then the new neo18 kernel came out that's almost perfect led notifications work voodoo color gives amazing screen and until now my only problem is when I'm outside so the temperature is low like minus 1-5 the android.com process gives FC and I cant see my contacts.
So i really like insanity as a rom but i want to hear others experience about it.
So far my problems are:
Viber stopped working i dont know why i cant remember what change made it cause lot of things happened changed to new insanity cm51 as i remember new viber came out. I can't get it work with stock fugu or neo kernel
The other big problems is sometimes when i answer a call they cant hear me or i cant hear them for the first time then i call them back and everything works fine.
Can somebody give me any advice to solve these problems?
please dont be rude I'm not a complete noob but Im not a developer either.
Thank for anyone who helps
PS.: if you give me any advice whats the best kernel for insanity in your opinion i will be happy
