Is the bionic going to be locked down like the Droid X? I hope not
Moved to General as this is clearly not a Development thread.
Of course.
of course it was moved too........

A lot of people (including myself) are coming from the Droid Eris forums because Verizon is giving D2's out as replacements when customers have had several Eris's replaced already.
At the Droid Eris forum, they have a Q&A section in their forums. I think this would be a great idea for the Droid 2 section, not only because many ex Eris owners are already used to it, but it would further help organize the Droid 2 section.
Simple suggestion, take it or leave it
Isn't a forum essentially a Q & A section?

Most are. This one, however, isn't entirely Q&A because we post findings, ROMS, and other information that aren't questions.
I'm not saying its a must have, but it would be easier for our question answerers out there to be able to go to a single section and start answering away

I'm one for an informative thread title that means something. If you have a question put "[Q]". Include your device "[D2]" and any rom that you are running "[Fission x.x.x]" followed by a brief summary of your question or subject. That way a separate section isn't needed and D2G/milestone2 stuff can get moved quickly if posted wrong or milestone gets own section.

Yeah that's good as well. Putting the device in the title would save a lot of headache

Someone just needs to compile a thread in Droid 2 General or Droid 2 Development. Then it just needs to get stickied.
Yeah i agree with darkonion. Just someone take it and compile it in the General section. Futhermore, general is already intended for Q and A.
I really don't like how there are separate general and Q&A forums on XDA. Makes no sense and it is a big reason that people are confused using this site.
Anyhow, IMO, it is fine to have separate developer forums, but not a general and a Q&A forum, those should be merged.
And whoever came up with the color scheme, fonts, graphic design of XDA clearly does not have any graphics arts training.
I strongly disagree. People just need to understand the difference between Q&A and a General discussion with anything Moto X. Those that can't follow the rules deserve swift moderatin' punishment.

That's how all threads for different phones are. The general section is used for general things like bootloader warnings, root, etc. Q&a are questions and answers only. I think they should have separate carrier forums..
MOTO X Slapped
I really think we need moderator intervention, I haven't seen nor heard from any moderator. No warnings absolutely nothing. I bet I could probably mention CG name (anthrax)and I won't even get a mod to warn me that his name can't be mentioned in the xda forums

Mods are sleeping on this forum, I concur. General and Q&A look the exact same for this phone.
I agree it's messy.

I wish each variant had it's own(sub) forum ... Note 3 and other devices have a Verizon, AT&T, T-Mobile, etc. section. Why are all moto x's grouped into 1 place? I think sub forums based on carrier may cut down on some confusion/clutter ... Just my $0.02

Thanks for the Input OP, Thread Closed....
This forum started as the DROID turbo and then when the moto maxx came in they flooded the DROID turbo. They may be the same hardware wise but this forum should be strictly for the verizon turbo.

Could you please search before posting in the forum? You are no less cluttering the Droid Turbo thread than Moto Maxx users.
There is already a thread regarding this discussion- http://forum.xda-developers.com/droid-turbo/general/moderators-please-help-mixed-topics-t3032371
This thread is unnecessary!
As mentioned this is a duplicate of the thread linked above. You can always request this here rather than making a new thread.

As far as development goes (which is the core of xda) , the droid turbo and moto maxx are going in completely different directions. Can you please justify keeping them in the same thread? This has been asked several dozen times and I have yet to see a response, personally, from any moderator.
Please for the love of god separate the droids.
I third that.
The turbo desperately needs its own forum.
After so much requests, nothing done, so. I believe will stand this way, because both are quark devices. Have 4 variants

Galaxy phones have different forums based on their variants... Not that the DT is as popular as the Galaxy S series but still, in terms of android development there's very little, if anything, in common between the DT and the Maxx. Keeping both in the same forum creates confusion and doesn't help anyone. Hopefully the mods will not ignore this request again.

Go off-topic with this thread and the moderators will start swarming
Maybe then they'll notice this very common request.

I'm thinking about upgrading to an iPhone 6 or a Lumia 540, which one is better?
Edit: all joking aside, I reported this thread to the mods, explaining briefly what we're trying to achieve. Hopefully they'll step in and create a new forum for the Maxx.
It would just be better for everyone to seperate droid turbo and moto maxx / moto turbo sections.
Yes it would be better if they were not combined! I post in this section about a phone that cannot be used on Verizon no matter what yet the name "Verizon" is in the subject.
As you have said, this has been discussed before, so Thread closed as per rule 5
Furthermore, the correct way to request a new device forum is via the
*** New Device Forum Requests ***
Please use that.
Greg
EDIT
Furthermore, it is not the moderators who decide on such matters, it is the site admins.
EDIT 2
After reading through this thread I do not see the need for any MOD bashing. I certainly do not owe anyone anything. I am giving back to this community by giving up my free time. Also, you cannot blame the MODS/Admins for not answering you lot if all you do is post requests in this forum in stead of the correct one l linked above (Which can be found with a very simple google search http://bit.ly/1yiXslb )
So on that note, thread cleaned as well
Please note: I have discussed with the moderators and they have created a separate forum/sub forum for the original non-Verizon Droid Turbo. It was getting to confusing especially since they aren't compatible with each other.
In other words. Non-Verizon guys/gals, you finally have your own section. It can be found here
This section is for the xt1254 Verizon Droid Turbo Only.

It is good effort, but the name of the forum is all wrong.
Droid Maxx is another phone, the international variant of the Turbo is called Moto Maxx.
If you can tell the moderators about this, we would greatly appreciate it.
:fingers-crossed:
Edit: I have take a look into the new forum, and is totally a mess.
They mixed the Moto Maxx with the existing Droid Maxx which are totally different phones, and now is an unusable forum mixed with a lot of information with both phones.
I think people will keep using this forum until this is fixed.

You must be very powerful to let this happen. We (about 50 people) have requested this for 9 months but couldn't get a result. :good:
Xda admins have created our Moto Maxx section. I am glad that we Moto Maxx owners are seperated at last from the Droid Turbo forums.
---------- Post added at 12:43 PM ---------- Previous post was at 12:41 PM ----------
Now, we should all report Moto Maxx related threads to mods for them to move our stuff into its right place.
