go to the HTC support and find your shipped ROM, flash via SD card, then run HSPL4 and select the 2.08 if you're going to use Android or WP7

go to the HTC support and find your shipped ROM, flash via SD card, then run HSPL4 software and select the HSPL 2.08 or HSPL v3.03........
for cooked WM6.5 also ok.
My HD2 is running Artemis v57 that is WM 6.5.5 cooked rom

At the OP just so everyone here will know. Put your HD2 into bootloader by holding the volume down button while powering on your HD2 this will bring up the multicolored bootloader screen, you will need to press the small reset button under the battery cover and close to the SD card slot to reboot hour HD2. Look at the writting there and tell us what SPL version you currently have. Also what model HD2 do you have? Is it the T-Mobile HD2 or the International HD2? A

Oops ignore me

Remember that you can choose also the hspl/spl 3.03 if you want to use a stock WM EU Rom!

[Q] HTC HD2 converting to Android from Win 6.5

I needing advice and possible help converting to Android. I have download and tried to change the ROM but it never works. I believe it's because my phone's ROM is 3.14.531.1 which is the upgrade from T-Mobile. I wanted to know if it's possible to go to a back dated ROM to use the DFT_LEO_MAGLDR111 files. If not what do you people suggest.
Make sure you have HSPL installed correctly if not check this out
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=611433
Once that's done you can either use an SD card build check this out
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=881958
Or you can use a NAND build
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=894423
It's got a video so it's pretty easy to follow
Before you can install HSPL3 you must downgrade your rom to one with an SPL which is not 3.03.0000 (which comes with the 3.14 ROM).
You can download the 2.10 or the 2.13 TMOUS ROM from links in the WinMo6.5 ROM section. or you can use your phone's IMEI number to download the 2.13 ROM from HTC's website * HERE *
If it's a TMO US HD2 then you won't have HSPL3.03 - you'll have HSPL2.10 which is fine to install HSPL2.08 over (you don't need to worry about downgrading your ROM).
If it has green & red call & end-call buttons then it's a US T-Mobile HD2. If not, then it's not.
Turn the phone off and turn it back on again whilst holding the volume down button. This will put the phone in bootloader mode, and will also show you the version of SPL that you have.
Tell us what that is and we can go from there.
Edit: To get out of the bootloader, either pull the battery or press the reset button under the battery cover
HSPL -> MAGLDR -> Flash NAND Android Rom
and flash magldr 1.12..it is available...1.11 is old
I'm going through this at the moment. I'm on Vodafone and I did simply 'update' using an earlier official ROM in order to get the right SPL.

[Q] Can't flash stock rom after flashing MAGLDR

Ok guys please help me since I couldn't find the answer
I installed on my hd2:
-HSPL 2.08
-Radio 2.15.50.14
-Magldr 1.13
-CMR
First of all I noticed that I dont have to hold the power button to get into the magldr menu.
I couldn't get into Boot As SD so I wanted to flash winmo stock rom from bootloader. Unfortunately I can't do that. Even tried HR. Is there any solution to flash stock ROM
Any help would be greatly appreciated

While your Pbone is off hold the volume down button and momentaraly press the power (end) button this should make the bootloader come up (tri color screen). Once in bootloader plug your USB cable into the computer and phone. wait until you see USB in the white bottom bar of the phone screen and then run the RUU or exe wich ever one you have for the ROM you want to flash, this is for Windows Mobile ROMs only though.
If you want you can use a micro SD card to flash the ROM also. You need a 4G or smaller SD card to do this though the 16GB card that comes with the TMOUS HD2 generaly will not work but you can try it. Take and find the RUU_signed.nbh file in the Rom folder you have, it may not look exactly like that but it will have RUU and .nbh in it. Rename the file leoimg.nbh and copy it to your SD card and repeat the process to go into bootloader and as soon as you see searching appear on your phone screen release the volume up button and the ROM will flash it just might take alittle longer for the ROM to complete the flash this way as compared to using a computer to flash.
Thank you for you reply After several attempts I managed to get my winmo back on
Two questions: So do I still have MAGLDR and CMR after flashin' that stock rom ?
I can see in the bootloader that I'm back on SPL 3.03. Does that mean that I'm back on warranty and HSPL2 is uninstalled?
Thanks!

Yes you lost MAGLDR, HSPL, and CMR when you flashed the stock ROM. If bootloader is showing SPL 3.O3.OOOO then you are stock once again You can always be double sure of this by downloading HSPL 4and run it, when it ask you what version you want to install select 3.03.0000. The ones with SPL and the x.xx.0000 are all stock SPLs but 3.03.0000 is the latest stock SPL.
Thanks you've calmed me down

Thanks so much for the 4g micro sd card suggestion. I was really starting to think I'd stuffed my phone. I had been trying to flash a stock rom using a 16g micro sd card & of course having no luck. So glad I found this thread, keep being a superhero

Is this HD2 screwed?

Okay guys, am I screwed?
I tried putting android on this HD2.
I successfully installed HSPL 2.08 HSPL (So NO 2.08.0000)
Then I tried installing MAGLDR 1.13, just by executing the ROMUtilityUpdater.exe.
Clicked the first checkbox, then the 2nd, and then that 'Update' thingy.
It was going to updating from 1.72.XXXXX to 2.00.0.000 (or something)
I had it connected through Activesync (WinXP).
It was ready in 30seconds, instead of the normal 10 minutes.
Now it just hangs on the White HTC bootscreen.
I tried doing a Task29, but in the RGB Bootloader (USB connected) screen it won't connect to ActiveSync. I Ran it anyway, but still no Windows or MAGLDR.
Do I need to install a different Radio? If so how do I do that and where can I find it?
I am downloading a stock WinMo 6.5 Rom (vodafone branded, from HTC.com)
Thanks for all the help in advance!
had simillar problem. I would just install the latest Windows ROM 3.03 but thru SD card (Download official 3.03 ROM for Your phone, extract it, change the nbh file name to LEOIMG, put it on Your SD card, Switch the phone on holding volume button down, and then go with the instructions on the screen) cuz it changes Your SPL, then install HSPL 4. After that install CLK and CLOCKWORK and then NAND Your device with clk version android.
Look here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1021837 if You dont know how to install clK. It is a bit complicated but if You are a bit computer literate You should be ok.
Okay, thanks!
I installed a stock vodafone rom, it is booting now!
so where do i find 2.15 pesky radio 2.15 rom?
I installed HSPL using HSPL in the first place

How do i downgrade spl 3.03 to 2.08?

Hello XDA.
as you can see iam new to the forum. and i have been trying some basic SD roms. and kinda found out that i realy liked the miui roms.
So i was about to try to install [ROM] HTC HD2 Leo MIUI.us Presents MIUI 1.7.15 Pure English [AOSP]
But then i noticed in the Unlocking HD2 step that my phone isnt unlocked and its also running spl 3.03.
So what i need help with is.
how do i downgrade to 2.08? (witch is needed in the next step) so i can continue the steps...
my phone is a european htc hd2 (norway) and is still running stock wm 6.5.
All help appreasiated.
Bootloader
Hspl4
Choose 2.08.hspl
thanks for the respond.
but would it be possible to be litle more detailed?
edit:
When you say bootloader i assume you refering to MAGLDR...
No,bootloader is bootloader, magldr is magldr. Plenty of stickies hand holding you through all this, and countless hundreds single threads explaining it.
Download HSPL 4. Connect phone to PC via ActiveSync. Run HSPL4 on PC and choose HSPL 2.08. Wait a few seconds. Should see 'We Hacked it!' on phone. You can now go ahead and (try) to install android following the other steps.
worked like a a sharm.
think i touth this was way more advanced so. my head wasnt sett it was this easy to understand. .

Yeah as Samsamuel said, ActiveSync is not really necessary it's just easier for most people to understand.
Before doing this I would recommend updating your ROM to the latest official stock ROM 3.14 (go to the settings and then software info to see this if my memory serves me correctly, haven't used WinMo in ages ) as this will have the latest radio and will save you from having to reflash it later.
Download HSPL4 package (just see samsamuel's link in his sig), turn the phone off then boot into bootloader by holding power and volume down buttons. Connect phone to PC via USB, run the HSPL installer, select HSPL 2.08 (make sure it's HSPL, not SPL, SPL 2.08 won't do any damage, but it won't help either ) and viola, it will be installed after a few seconds
i have spl 1.67 how to upgrade or downgrade?

[Q] Problem staying connected NAND while magldr downgrading to 2.0

hi all,
we are trying to put android on a HD2 but i work work because we get disconnected from the moment i start downgrading the phone to 2.0.
anyone got a clue to fix this lil problem ?
regards Remon and Teymur
i THINK what you mean is downgrading to spl 2.0??? if i'm correct what you want to downgrade to is actually Hspl 2.08 (if on a USA branded HD2 with 1024 nand and red/green call/end buttons) CHANGING TO HSPL MUST BE DONE FIRST (only the radio can be flashed before)
i can't remember what Hspl is for the EU Leo ... Hspl 3.x ... i believe.
hope i helped. cheers

we are running spl 3.03.0000 now and we need to get it to hspl 2.08 i believe in order to do magldr so we can actually install android on it.
but the usb disconnects we we try magldr to get it to hspl 2.08,
so we probably need an alternative way.
got any clues ?
you need to flash hspl before magldr via bootloader (tri-color screen) then flash mad, etc
Phone off
Into bootloader
Connect USB
run Hspl4 ... make sure you choose 2.08.hspl only
When it reboots go straight back into bootloader
USB
Run magldr installer (no need to change radio if you were running 3.14 rom cos radio will already be fine (((previous post that said radio can be flashed without hspl is wrong)))
When it reboots it will start magldr menu
Choose USB flasher
Use nand toolkit to apply partitioning your target rom requires-this step will also apply cwm (clockwork)
Restart into magldr, option 8 ad recovery
In cwm recovery choose advanced partition SD card (assuming you want an ext partition to increase internal storage,)
Back into cwm mounts and storage, mount SD card, copy across the new rom.zip
In cwm choose flash zip from SD
That's it.
oh, thanks sam. i wasnt sure if anything could be flashed before or not. i knew radio had something special about when it can be flashed, like it needed to be flashed first (if need be) right?

if you were starting from stock, the radio would either be the second or third thing you flashed, , HSPL first, then magldr and radio in either order.
magldr simply wont start 'till the radio (and hspl) are correct.
