People help I'd tried everything ang nothing help. I'm with windows7 on my computer and NAND DFT android rom on my HD2. Before instaling MAGLRD version 1.11 everything was ok but now when i plug my device nothing hapen on Windows Mobile Device Center it stays always not conected. I sync my phone with "HTC sync" and there is ok. I'd reinstalled all and again nothing. I want to sync and install MAGLDR 1.13 and from there install from sd card new android rom, becouse now i cant access in SD from MAGLDR i don't know why. If you have any sugestions please help.

Don't worry about WMDC. Boot to bootloader and connect to pc. Does "usb" show up on screen or does it still stay at "serial"?

You don't need to sync. If usb shows on screen then just run the romupdateutility.exe file.

Now it's ok thank's you can delete threat if you want

i have the same problem here!!
Guys pls help
The usb message your seeing means it is connected by usb. You should be able to continue. Not sure activesync recognises magldr.
Sent from my HTC HD2 using XDA App
Im sorry if im wrong but ofcourse your phone wont get regonized by active sync anymore because you took off windows mobile from your phone when you installed nand. Just be paitence when u connect your phone to your computer and it will deffently get regonized and you will be ready to flash new roms.

When you see this usb...usb you are connected.
Now right click daf.exe or android inastaller.exe or whatever the name and choose "run as administrator" and the install should start
read the second link in my signature
It says it is connected but when I run as admin it says usb init failure. What do I do then?

I saw a few posts about this problem. The fix is to reflash HSPL and load Magldr again.

Not able to make a usb connection to the phone when in Magldr
Error Description: USB init failed
Info: .\RSPL\RSPL.cpp (723)
Go to the Activesync icon in the bottom right corner, right click on it and untick the option "Allow usb connections" and then connect the device again. Run daf.exe (or install.exe) as administrator by right clicking on it and selecting the option (if using Windows7 or Vista). Hopefully the usb drivers will then install and the Android Rom will flash.
Another option could be to uninstall and reinstall Activesync or to try different usb ports on your pc. If that doesnt work and you have Windows XP then you need to try on a machine with Vista or Windows 7.
If none of this works then try taking out your micro SD Card and repeating the process or flash a Custom Rom before you flash Magldr rather than a Stock Rom.
Lastly you could try starting the NAND installer with the phone unplugged and then plugged the phone in. The installer should immediately detect your device and proceed to flash.

magldr issue

I am trying to use the magldr flashed and it says waiting for usb... Instead of the usb... Usb message and will not see my computer and device manager has a driver named magldr that says its not installed correctly.... Is there a magldr driver I need to get cause I can't flash crap
Your computer is suppose to imstall the driver for you to use MAGLDR from your phone when you connect it to the computer abd you are in option #4 USB Mass Stg or option #5 USB Flasher. If it did not install properly, try another USB port, or try to manually update the drivers by going to Device manager and right click on the MAGLDR icon or the icon for your phone which ever one it shows it as in Device manager. Select update drives amdcthen select from computer and find your phone on the computer and click on it and tjen click dome at the bottom of the window you are in it should updatecthe driver from hour HD2. If not unlug hour HD2 try deleting the drivers for it im Device manager and then plug your phone back in to see if it will install the drivers then. Also when you select option #5 USB Flasher make sure your phone says USB...USB on it then connect it.
This HTC I bought from someone. Who had had the phone flashed with a ****ty Rom and it has magldr 1.12 .... I am not able to flash any Rom or revert to winm 6.5 it will not find any driver for magldr usb flasher have tried everything its not the usb and not the device driver won't find the driver... So where is this mythical driver and how do I get it into device manager?
restar the phone keep volume press down . then windows recognise the usb and flash any windows 6.5
Won't that boot the phone into the multicolored bootloader?

Hi,
I have the same problem which I can solve by installing Microsoft Activesync.
This will give you the necessary drivers to load MAGLDR and USB flasher etc.
So I install activesync on my puter?

You have to use Windows Mobile Device Center with Windows 7. You can get it from the same placecas ActiveSync.

Because you were talking about windows 6.5 of course you need to go the magical multicolored bootloader.

My fix to this....
I had the same problem earlier this evening. I rebooted both the laptop and the phone and it worked fine after that. For some reason, my drivers wouldn't detect MAGDLR or CWM in USB Storage mode... Odd enough that this was the first time it happened...

[Q] What i can do please?

Hi everyone! At first sorry because my english is not better than my french
My problem: I have an HTC hd2 with a white screen and the SPL 1.42.0000 (i can go to bootloader). I google it and can't find any solution, i tried to instal HSPL (with hspl2/3/4) without success (usb fail connection) i have the same error with an task29, and an hd2toolkit. I tried to instal from sdcard but i have the error "radio v2 fail".
I think this is a problem at height of XDA developers ^^
PS:I tried to change Computer or usb port and execute as administrator but nothing...
If you coul help me it will be realy nice.
is the phone recognized in device manager? If not its a driver problem.
also do the usual ( verify its not the usb cable, try different usb port,) if drivers are ok
thank you for your help
The computer recognize the device but without OS (white screen) i can't do anythings with Activesync, i tried other computers and other usb port/cable but nothing. I think isn't a driver's problem because the instalation with sd card don't work.

Don't understand what you mean by "white screen"?
Try installing a stock winmo for you device to make sure everything is ok...
i tried to instal an official htc rom from sd card but it doesn't work, by "white screen" i just wanted to say that when i turn on my phone the screen is white.
It sounds like you have done a Task 29 and you do not have a ROM on your HD2 right now. This is why you just boot to the white screen.
You do npot have to use Active Sync or Windows Mobile Device Center to flash via RUU. You just have to have them installed because the haqve the USB drivers for the HD2's WINCE Bootloader in the programs and they install the drivers when you install the program.
The drivers in Active Sync and WMDC allow you to have a HTC Sync connection in the bootloader. Just boot into the bootloader by holding down the volume down button while powering on yuour HD2. Next connect your HD2 to your computer via USB cable. Wait and watch for the Serial in the white bar of the bootloader to change to USB. When you see USB you can run a RUU.
Now to address your 1.42.0000 SPL, this is a older SPL version and you may have to keep trying different RUUs until you get one that will flash. Just make sure if you have a T-Mobile HD2 that you do not flash any radio version below 2.08.50.?? or any radio version that has a 51 in the radio where the 50 is in the first radio I mentioned, or you will brick your T-Mobile HD2. Look for the radio version in the RUU name it will be there.
Sometimes the HD2 develops what is referred to as a "stuck radio" when they have these early SPL versions like yours. This is why I say you may just have to keep trying different RUUs until you find one that will flash.

theres a leoimg.nbh on the sd card.
If I am not mistaken only clk uses the Google Android drivers for USB connection. I think MAGLDR actually uses the drivers that are in Active Sync/WMDC. Plus when you use USB flasher I think MAGLDR actually auto installs the drivers that DFT included with MAGLDR. you may have to delete the drivers and let them re install.

[Q] Stuck in MAGLDR 1.11

Hi!
I've been using an Andriod NAND for like 2 years now and decided to upgrade to IcecreamSandwich. I installed HSPL 2.08 which I believe I had before anyway. Then I tried updating my radio but I get connection error 262. Apparently my phone wouldn't synch with WinMobileDeviceCenter. When I bootload I get serial and when I plugin it changes USB. But device doesn't get recognized. after rebooting I can start my Android no longer - MAGLDR 1.11 says ...boot mount failed. So I'm stuck in MAGLDR 1.11 and I can't ever restore to WinMobile original ROM. Any ideas?

if you put the phone in bootloader (4 colors Screen - HSPL 2.08 exc..) and show up USB when you connect it to the PC, it should be recognized from the application flasher, no PC.
Try to go in bootloader and when you connect the phone to your pc and when show up USB try to upgade and flash MAGLDR 1.13, (no MAGLDR 1.11 the old one) the last one.
Are you sure you used the right Radio for Leo?
thanks

When I try updating either the radio or MAGLDR in the install instructions there is this step2 where I have to establish an activesynch with my phone. I can't. So when I run the update it starts but progress stays at 0% both on PC and phone screen. After a few minutes I get error 262.
I'm trying to install radio 2.15 from Jayce Ooi's Paradise
Forget about active sync, you will never get an active sync connection unless win mo is running,, ,that'snot what the instruction to "get an active sync connection" means. It means get a USB connection, which uses the active sync drivers.
Try different usb ports,,do not use a front mounted usb port, only theones inthe back of the machine.

Why do I get this connection error then?
I did try different USB ports. Even tried different PCs. Same thing.

find another radio from XDA for HTC HD2, "radio 2.15? What this mean? from Jyce Ooi's Paradise" do not mean anything, I know Jayce and he is an amateur, not master.
You don't answer on questions given to you, if you want help, do you flash from bootloader? turn-off phone, keep pressing volume-down, press button on?
In bootloader, when you connect to pc, show up USB on the bottom of the screen?

The same thing happens even with the original radio (RUU_Leo_HTC_WWE_EastEurope_1.66.479.2_Radio_CRC_Signed_15.32.50.07U_2.07.51.22_2_Ship). What question haven't I answered? Yes, I flash from bootloader and yes USB shows up on the bottom when I connect it to the PC. When the updating of the ROM image starts there is no progress - neither on the instalator, nor on my phone (it shows HTC and a progress bar with 0%). After a couple of minutes I get Error 262 and "The ROM update utility has encountered a communication errors during update process."
Is my phone bricked?

Bricked mean dead, no life at all, your still alive but there is some errors, you should be happy to turn-on the phone in bootloader and usb be recognized. You have to try flash ONLY Radio 2.15.50.14.
If you can't flash the radio which I told you try to erase your rom with this tool.
you can update you magldr 1.11 to 1.13
you can update you magldr 1.11 to 1.13:highfive:

thats not a radio, thats a rom that includes a radio, but also includes an spl, , 1.66.0000
Are you SURE it still says x.xx.HSPL in bootloader? because hanging at 0% is very often associated with not having hspl installed.

exactly, I forgot about that!
Also if you really have x.xx HSPL is no more a problem of you Phone but of you PC, so try different OS, even XP, and still trying. IS NOT THE PHONE.
