Hey guys, post your quadrant scores here please.
I have an Evo with hardware version 003 and my quadrant score is 1212 with the 3.70.651.1 update. (Android 2.2) I'm running stock btw.
Mine's about 1400 and I'm running CM6 with the built in kernel... But I was using Myn's and Fresh over the last week and I didn't get over 1100 with either one of them... But I really couldn't tell a difference in speed, just a different number

Just got 1502 using cm7 with savaged zen v005 cfs

oh miui, you slay me
I get about 1100-1200 depending if my clocks are stock or oced
Time for everyone to retake their tests. New quadrant = alot lower scores... :/
My old scores were:
miui: 1700
savage gb: 1500
i get max ~13xx by using ROm myn's warm twopointtwo RLS 5 and kernel netarchy 4.3.2
I get just over 1000. Check my sig for my rig!

All I know is that I can only hit about [email protected] 1GHz on Quadrant.... CM7 2.3.3 ... not sure if its this EVO or what but my white one always hit 1250 on stock ROM stock stock... It hit 1550 on CM6 final. I'm not sure if its the ROM because I don't have that phone for comparison.. (stolen)...
My 3G speeds are also very slow.. sorry if off topic. Id like to know if a different kernel would help the Quadrant score.

Ok explain to me how your rant about quadrant has anything to do with the op' s question? Besides quadrant means nothing Imho . And the new quadrant will give low numbers.
I have tried just about every kernel around and
SavageZen ranks up there pretty high .
stock cm7 is a close 2nd for me and my phone .
SavageZen has sbc built in just a heads up .
from my phone duh
SavagedZen by FAR is the best kernel. The battery life I had with the SZ kernels on CM7 was unreal.
And SBC dangers are a myth. Stop freaking out about that.

I have to say SavagedZen.
Oh and there's a thread that has no-SBC versions floating around here somewhere.
Sent from my PC36100 using XDA App
Savagezen cfs is what my phone agrees with. your options are stock, savagezen, and tiamat. I would try different ones and see what works for you. Remember to give a kernel a day or two to settle in
swyped from my cyanogenized and gingerbreaded EVO
In my opinion the best CM7 kernel is the CM7 kernel

Savaged zen... no question. The SBC thing does make me worry, though (and 0.2.1 doesn't have a no-SBC version).
What's the average score for a evo on cm7 .

Just tested at 41.8
Yeah, I would say avg is anywhere from 35 to 42, depending on clock speed. What happens if you run it again right after a couple times?
One time I got and 8, and I was like, WTF? Ran it again and got a 38.
Thanks, I just ran it and it still 16-18. Does the kernal matter. I'm on timat 3.3.7
Sent from my PC36100 using XDA App
yeah on cm7 I got 40 give or take.
stock sense is like 32 for me and overclocked to 1.2ghz i get 38-39.
bfs kernels were hit or mis on my EVO. Kinda clunky on mine.
I'f you're getting low linpack scores try switching from smartass to conservative(just to score higher). Also I get an average of 41 with my phone clocked at 1190.
Sent from my PC36100 using XDA Premium App
Specs in sig, I just got 43.261, average is 42-44.
How do you check?

I would say definitely linpack. Quadrant is not consistent.
you can get bad scores if you have to many services running. i get 33-35 stock non rooted hw 004. got up to 44+ on my old hw 002(got the restart when overheated problem) when 2.2 first came out, completely stock but since then they have added alot of services that slow it down
if the media scanner is running. i get about 22. so check that in the services if you are getting bad scores

Need more details. What kernel, what CPU settings, etc. I was getting 38-40 on d2.
Just got 40.75 on cm7 with dark horse theme and sz 2.0.0 ondemand 1190
The Linpack app also does not pull enough from CPU to ramp the CPU to max. Set your minimum CPU to the same as your max, run linpack then lower your minimum CPU speed, Interactive is best governor to use for this
all these tests are for is braggin rights...these scores will not be like, oh check it out, my browser loads .3 seconds quicker bc i got 3 more mflops...get out of hee, find a rom you like, and use it, most of them are very good. There is not one rom on this site that blows away the competetion, they are all very very very similiar in speed, nuff said
Any suggestions for some good kernels for this rom.

Incredikernel by Chad. Its pretty sweet.

Which one.

The 4/19/11 AOSP one. Sec, I'll get a link.

I've had excellent results with Tiamat noSBC, on CM7 stock I was at 70% by the end of school idling, on Tiamat I was at 80% end of day... before I'd given the new kernel time to settle. Excellent battery, and smooth as hell. Highly recommended.
Is it overclockable.

It is. I'm running at 806 MHz but it can go to about 1200.

Try Incredikernel or Tiamat

Those, or invisiblek's kernel are pretty much your only options anyways lol... And Savaged-Zen.

I just loaded Chad's kernel and its smooth and its fast if u overclock it.

Thing is, it's crazy responsive at 806, and gets amazing battery life to boot

Wait I'm on Chad's kernel and the highest setting in the cm7 performance menu is 1113mHz, how do you get 1.19? SetCPU?
Sent from my ADR6300 using XDA App
In CM7 performance settings on Tiamat, I get up to 1267
Huh, mine go from 128-1113..

Different kernels have different maximum CPU frequency settings.
Edit: And minimum.

Anyone check the highest linpack score for the evo shift lately? Dodgejcr seems to have 1920mhz stable enough for testing linpack

I'd like to see him get that stable on our device.
I had a 64.xxx run while on sense that I uploaded under PG06100 instead of htc evo shift I ran her again on CM7 and am in second place with 63.866

Yeah or at least release a kernel for testing. Nice score, mine keeps capping out at 63.752 on nfx 2.0 odex
I just hit 63.946

So is there a kernal for going past 1.8gHz?
It looks like it may be developer only, I'm thinking it may be very unstable
Hi all, I decided to open up an AnTuTu thread, when my Atrix without cm7 beat a gsii, and a sensation. Then I put CM7 on my Atrix and blew them out of the water. Sheck it!
Yeah I use Antutu as my main benchmark app. My highest was like 5505. Can't wait for a higher OC then we will see higher scores. I've noticed it benches your sdcard so a faster SD card will make your score higher.

Alien4 and stock kernel, my score is 4813.
OMG lol on hd2 I got 800 on 2d grafics xD and 600 on 3d....

Yeah, and with our internal memory showing as SD card, we have awesome scores for that
Those are great scores! Surprisingly close to the SGSII (My best without OC was 6000 on MIUI with the SGSII.) I remember getting around 3300 points with the Atrix b4 I sold it (it was back in locked 2.2.2 times though...).

Same ROM/kernel @ 1.2Ghz w/ mild undervolt = 5090, probably held back by relatively slow SD card (7M write 12M reads). Good thing its 32gb...
alien build #4 with fauxs 0.1.9 kernel overclocked to 1.3 ghz and undervolted
i get 6007 with cm7 pre-beta 3 and 1.3 ghz oc
here r my scores. sgs2
Ahaha look at my Atrix score:
I'm on last CM7 Nightly with kernel at 1.6ghz
