Bro, there's more than one update.zip. it's just a generic file name that allows you to push some file into the internal memory. Do you want the update.zip that allows you to root eclair, the update.zip that allows you to flash cwm, or the update.zip that disables increasing ringtone, etc.

the above update.zip contains nothing its an empty update.zip.

bootloop issues

hello everyone
I have a bootloop problem and it is really frustrating!
i was on paranoidandroid rom and i wanted to go back to gingerbread 2.3.5
so i flashed using odin KK4 firmware and once it was complete the phone got stuck on the boot animation.. i had tried taking the battery out and waiting and still no luck.. i then thought to flash 2.3.6 so ive just done that in the form of LPA and I am again getting bootloop problems
on odin i had used phone pda and csc with repartition unchecked when installing 2.3.6 only
how should i go about fixing this??

If you are still on GB. Reboot into recovery and factory reset.

I cant get into recovery for some odd reason even tho the 2.3.6 is a rooted rom

GB is safe. Do not worry. Perform factory reset.

Ok ive got through to the phone successfully but i want to be on 2.3.5..
When i downloaded KK4 i only had the single rom file in there.. is this all i need to flash to get it on 2.3.5?

Let me make it a little clearer.. i have downloaded KK4 from samfirmware.. within the zip i just see the rom file.. is this all i need to flash to get on to 2.3.5? Or do i need to add a couple other files in odin also?

Put it in PDA.
Do not select bootloader update, PIT, Flash Lock or efc clear option.

how to return to stock recovery?

I restored my nandroid backup which is the stock rom..
but after that my recovery is cwm and I want the stock one can I return to it?
please help me and if yes please give me the method step by step

Reflash stock kernel or flash a kernel which have stock recovery like Kuro kernel

or you can just extract your pdablabla.tar.md5 of stock rom from doky then put the boot.img on your sdcard, then install sgybicwm.zip (www.media*fire.com/?mlgi1fwhukrtgfx) from cwm

Goto about phone then see the build number of your rom... Then go to the kernel list that I've mentioned you, and look for the kernel package which one match with your build number...
For example my build number is gingerbread.DDLC3 see the screen shot

Have Cm 5 installed on this san francisco II but every time I try and install a rom other than fish & chips I get this error
It's 2nd gen....and im out of ideas

Download the ROM again n then try. U can flash cm9 the same way u r flashing cm7.

You can't flash San Francisco 1 ROMs on San Francisco 2
OSF2 CM7

I couldn't know if it was for my device, I couldn't boot into the ROM, it was erased and I had no way to recover.
Finally, after 3 days of searching I found out that I had wiped all my SDcard, internal memory and recovery, so I was left with nothing, luckily, this post saved my life www(dot)modaco(dot)com/topic/361126-zte-blade-ii-p735tb01-msm7225a1ghz-roms-ftm-back-to-stock/
And yes, I can't find any place to download Mr Pigfish to install a custom ROM.

Return to Stock Rom Help

I recently installed the Wicked X v10.6 custom rom, however I have no wifi and cannot seem to fix this problem. I would like to return to stock rom, but not sure how. I have the SPH-L720T OH1 model. Could someone provide me the correct procedure for this? Thanks

I did. I flashed Wicked-X-v10.6, then the OH1 kernel, the L720T Converter, SystemUpdatesFix, Settings and then a few others like the Vol Boost, ViperEnabler and Xposed-v65-sdk21-arm-arter-V5-generic.zip

Setup Odin on your PC, download the correct tar for your device from www.sammobile.com, flash tar to phone in Download Mode.
