Have Cm 5 installed on this san francisco II but every time I try and install a rom other than fish & chips I get this error
It's 2nd gen....and im out of ideas

anyone know what I can do to get a 4.0 rom working on my 2gen? It came with 2.3 stock installed

Download the ROM again n then try. U can flash cm9 the same way u r flashing cm7.

You can't flash San Francisco 1 ROMs on San Francisco 2
OSF2 CM7

In recovery wipe data
Then update from ur rom.
(I'm not sure it'll work)

I couldn't know if it was for my device, I couldn't boot into the ROM, it was erased and I had no way to recover.
Finally, after 3 days of searching I found out that I had wiped all my SDcard, internal memory and recovery, so I was left with nothing, luckily, this post saved my life www(dot)modaco(dot)com/topic/361126-zte-blade-ii-p735tb01-msm7225a1ghz-roms-ftm-back-to-stock/
And yes, I can't find any place to download Mr Pigfish to install a custom ROM.

Check Modaco (Paulobrian) or Rotohammer threads
Try using Odin to flash paulibrians kernel. It'll install CWM and you can convert to ext4 without losing your apps & data on your SD card

ive had my 10.1 7510 for over a year now but really never used it..i decided to start using it more and it seems a little laggy. I want to flash it and maybe update the kernel too. im sorta new to the tabs but know how to do it on a phone so im sure its pretty simular. whats the most popular rom/kernel for this device? thanks in advace.

Each person has their own opinion, but I would recommend you try pershoot's CM10 builds.
Agreed. Tho, im behind sched Seeing how the last build was november, i just flashed the most recent (and last) cm10 rom and everything went smooooth. I havent noticed a bug yet and its super fast and it looks amazing. Make sure if u flash this rom you flash the google apps too so you can get the play store.

Sounds like you are using an old cm10 release as both cameras have been working in cm10 for a while now.
I'd suggest getting the latest nightly from download.cyanogenmod.org.
These latest releases also have the joys of OTA updates under settings -> about tablet - which makes future updates much easier

Quick question, I have a GT-S5360L phone, baseband UHKI6, I'm aware that if a ROM has different a different MODEM setting I can have a headache, so, will evo-x 3 rom work on that phone without losing 3G? I wanted to post this on the evo-x 3 thread, but this is my first post, so I can't.
Second question is: is it possible to flash a rom like evo-x, and then flash a MODEM using Odin, so that way I'll have the phone settings that work with my provider and still the custom rom?
no panic,just flash the rom,its no problem.i have a customrom from asia on my phone--dxlf2 and my basband is still xxlk3.never have any prob. and evo rom is multi csc+language.have fun.

any custom rom work on any baseband
I have the same phone and base band UHKI6 and never had a problem flashing evo x or any other custom Rom for Galaxy Y . My base band is still here

NOW: copy these files to port:
1=System/etc/firmware (whole folder).
2=System/lib/modules (whole folder).
3=Meta inf/.../update script
4=Meta inf/.../ update binary
5=Boot.img
Repack it in Zip folder .Put it into the
root of your SD go into recovery wipe data wipe
cache wipe dalvik and flash your created Rom and you are
done Happy Porting

I dont have your issues i have used tmc for 3 months fast 3g connection, always 500kb/s or above maybe you're unlucky
I am using b518 stock software. So what about you? you b528 ?

So what's the actual question? are you unable to install any rom or you are unable to root the rom? title says you can't root, description says you are in recovery loop? please be clear.

Actual thing is i was rooted my phone and using Android 7 (when i was restored settings it is gone back to TWRP)...
And now (in TWRP) it is not installing any ROM's...

Fastboot cos and flash the twrp image again and find if the roms gets flashed.
the commands are meesed up you need to write the code in the video that will se in twrp terminal
in my case worked good
