that sample you see there is only for 1 minute 45 seconds, in that time the calendar could have synced, and used 60% of the total battery used during that 1 minute 45 seconds.
I expect if you check after being unplugged for a few hours the calendar will appear normal again.
If you want to look at more detailed battery stats enter *#*#4636#*#* into the dialer and goto battery history.
No, this is a real drain, I had the same thing.
This is what i did to help it:
- Go to calendar
-press the menu button when you are in calendar
-press more in the menu of calendar
-go to Calendars
- when there you see all kind of things like facebook pc sync hollidays, sync with your google account
Just deselect them al, and the problem is gone.
I had the same thing. To fix it I cleared the data for all calendar apps and widgets.
The four I cleared are called Calendar, Calendar Storage, Calendar Sync Adapter and Calendar Widget.
Try pressing menu and selecting sort by size, then again to go to sort a-z. This should refresh the list again in alphabetical order and group them all together.
This worked for me perfectly.
download another calendar then
Ok thanks everybody..
Will try it to see if this works for me..
Will post it when i have some results!
Success..!!!
I went to the applications settings menu and cleared everything that had the word calendar in it.
then reopened the calendar, it took a second to load and then worked again like normal.
and now its not showing up as a memory hog anymore!
Thanks for the help!

The service is available today.
Basically it consists of a password-protected web site and an on-device application, which together will help you back-up, restore, and manage your mobile phone data. If you’ve ever wanted to save your text messages, hated re-entering all your contact information when you bought a new phone, or wished you could easily archive some of your pictures, then I think you’re about to be happy. From the main site, getting started is as simple as entering your Windows Live ID. After you’re signed in to the web site, you’ll need to download the application to your Windows Mobile phone. You can either navigate to an installation link using your phone’s browser or you can have a link text messaged to your phone.

Once the application is installed on your phone, setting things up is pretty easy.
You’ll need to enter your Windows Live ID and select your synchronization method, but after that the application does pretty much everything for you.
By default, My Phone synchronizes contacts, calendar appointments, tasks, photos, videos, text messages, music, and documents that are stored on the device.
If you want to synchronize items from a storage card you’ll need to change your My Phone settings, but it is possible. For more specifics on what can and can not be synchronized, see the My Phone information page.

if you look at the my phone twitter account, they post promo codes. Otherwise you'll have to wait. Luckily for me, I got into it because I signed up before MWC Bacelona.

[Q] How to delete e-mail accounts when they not appear in the start->messaging list?
I once had two e-mail accounts on my phone, so when I went to the register card (the touch flow one) I found three little mail-buttons there one was for outlook, one for e-mail provider A and one for provider B. After some month they stopped working and did no longer appear in the start->messaging list of you accounts, so after some nother month I added them again, but now I seem to have:
1. Outlook
2. A
3. B
4. old A
I would certainly like to get rid of "old A" as it is of no use to me, better still put all my two accounts together in only "outlook" and sync them with my PC. Would that be possible? I don't even find a solution on how to delete "old A" as there seems to be no option or drop down menus where i could delete the account!
Thanks a lot for your help!
Solution to delete your "old A" should be simple. Go to messages > menu > instruments > options and you should see all your accounts there: sms/mms , outlook,A, B and old A. Press and hold on old A and you will get the option to delete it
Thanks, thats what I thought would help the only problem is that "old A" is not even there. When I use the TouchFlo to go to my e-mail tab there are four little mail symbols on the right, 3 of them lead to the right mail box if I press the down left softkey for post box. only the fourth one leads to the "messaging" window but old A is (again) not there. I know it is not really bad, but it's annoying to have 2 new messages all the time because I can neither delete or open them or the account they seem to be in.
Any ideas?
Have you tried switching off Touch Flo and starting it again or deleting all your other mail accounts, restarting and adding them again ? Maybe you should consider using a program to scan for bad registry. Have no clue why it doesn't appear in the mail accounts. Basically if you don't have that account registered, Touch Flo shouldn't display any mail messages. There's always the hard way, making a hard reset, but that implies loosing all your installed programs and stuff. Are you sure you went to this section just like in my pic ? I don't use Touch Flo anymore, i'm using SPB mobile shell.

Hello. Since my stock nexus 4 updated to KitKat OTA Exchange services has been using up a huge amount of my battery. I use the standard email app and have 2 accounts, a hotmail account and my college email. If I set these email accounts to sync manually, my battery usage is exactly as expected, but when I re-enable push, the battery usage of Exchange Services comes to the top of the list very quickly, and Email works its way pretty far up the list as well. I use my phone quite a bit, so usual battery life for me is probably about 8 hours, but my email brings it down to just a few hours. Is this a common problem? Or is there any way to better diagnose the problem?
Thanks

Here's my battery graph for last 12 hours, it mostly are standby, Display only consumes 20 minutes.
Android version: 4.4.1, Exchange service and Stock Email (2nd and 3rd) are draining battery somehow.
Do you guys have any other battery graph to share?

Hi All
For the last week or so my S5 has been draining it's battery really quickly.
Having looked on GSam battery Monitor I can see that most of the usage is App Usage and of this the bulk of the usage is from Google Play Services. Looking deeper the culprit seems to be a wakelock from: *sync*/com.google.gms.auth.api.credentials/com/google/eM_ADDR

}
As you can see in the pictures in a mere 36 1/2 minutes it's thrown up 10,000 wakelock requests, which seems little (hugely) on the high side!!
I've tried googling this and not had much luck finding anything which might help.
One thing I have noticed is if I go into settings>Accounts when I go to my Google account, I get the name of the account and it shows that it's syncing but unlike usual when it syncs quickly, it remains saying syncing and basically hangs and none of the buttons or options etc react. I'm guessing this is at the root of the issue but I'm at a loss as to what I can do to sort it out.
Has anyone experienced this in the past or have any thoughts how I might fix the issue?
Additional info:
Model: SM-G900F
Android Version: 4.4.2
Kernel version: 3.4.0-2089850
Build Number: KOT49H-G900FXXU1ANG2
Oh and it's rooted.
I had a bit of a play yesterday evening and discovered that if I went into data usage and switched off autosync, then switched off wifi and mobile internet and the turned auto datasync back on, I could go into the account setting and actually get into the area for my google account and enable and disable syncing of various items (Drive, Docs, news, weather, gmail etc etc).
After a fair bit of testing of one item at a time, it seems the problem is with my gmail account (or at least it definitely occurs when I select for my gmail to sync). As soon I selected this and renabled my wifi, when I went into accounts and selected the google account it constantly showed as syncing, at no point saying "last synced" as it had with some of the others I tried.
Obviously I want it to be syncing my gmail so I get emails without having to manually check my emails all the time. I've had a bit of a search about but not managed to find anything much (or at least anything much that is less than about 3 years old!) Has anyone else had this issue and fixed it?
can anyone suggest services like AASA services, ANT+HAL, beaming service etc. to disable? i know that 'Android System' will always use up x% of battery but would like to minimise that as much as possible
Also, i want to know if im on crc7/crd7. im not sure what exactly they are. my baseband version says AQH3 at the end, dunno if that means anything
You can disable bixby services except bixby voice so phone still knows there is a button and install bxactions. Set it up with adb commands and have an additional button for your common actions and save battery with the bixby gone. You can also try disabling facebook and all services that come with it (everything contains facebook in package name) and use another 3rd oarty facebook feed client if you use it. Stock facebook app is a serious drainer.

thanks for the quick reply, but i have done quite a lot of research so ive optimised my phone in the aspects uve mentioned.
ive mapped the bixby button to go to home (go back with 2 presses, and app switcher with long press) and disabled all bixby services
ive deleted all facebook related things and instead use samsung internet to check my feed
You can try that, but sometimes it opens automatically after reboot. Be sure to keep that off.
