The service is available today.
Basically it consists of a password-protected web site and an on-device application, which together will help you back-up, restore, and manage your mobile phone data. If you’ve ever wanted to save your text messages, hated re-entering all your contact information when you bought a new phone, or wished you could easily archive some of your pictures, then I think you’re about to be happy. From the main site, getting started is as simple as entering your Windows Live ID. After you’re signed in to the web site, you’ll need to download the application to your Windows Mobile phone. You can either navigate to an installation link using your phone’s browser or you can have a link text messaged to your phone.

}
Once the application is installed on your phone, setting things up is pretty easy.
You’ll need to enter your Windows Live ID and select your synchronization method, but after that the application does pretty much everything for you.
By default, My Phone synchronizes contacts, calendar appointments, tasks, photos, videos, text messages, music, and documents that are stored on the device.
If you want to synchronize items from a storage card you’ll need to change your My Phone settings, but it is possible. For more specifics on what can and can not be synchronized, see the My Phone information page.

if you look at the my phone twitter account, they post promo codes. Otherwise you'll have to wait. Luckily for me, I got into it because I signed up before MWC Bacelona.

Insert contact numbers when composing SMS messages.
I created this simple application because sometimes when i send contact details to other phones using vcard, they cannot seem to receive it. Also, it's very frustrating to copy/paste contact details from the contacts window to the new sms window.
I hope this will help other members too
Download it HERE
great work..i some times have need for it
Hi Oldsap,
I appreciate the work. I actually use this old version from Ondrej at airfagev that was built for WM2003 I believe but works perfectly on WM 6.1. I like it because it adds an option in the main contacts area on the menu bar itself (not a separate application). Here's the description:
This free Contacts Add-On has been inspired by RJV SendContact. Since the SendContact has many drawbacks like you can't use T9 search from list of Contacts, etc., Ondrej has developed this and shared it to airfagev as a freeware.
After installing the app, you should see Send via email/SMS added to your contacts menu. This utility also allows you to select which contact info you want to send like Name, Mobile No., Work No., etc. Thanks to Ondrej.
hey oldsap, thanks muchly for the Insert Contacts app, it's certainly easier than faffing about trying to copy & paste!
gadgetshrink, i've installed the contacts menu app a few times on WM6 Touch but cannot find anyway to activate / use it on the phone...
any help? maybe i'm missing something?

Hi all,
I created a small tool that wraps the Outlook tasks in a finger friendly UI.
I'm using tasks a lot, and using the 'SpoonDo!' I can see them in categories, sorted by their due dates.
The navigation between categories is simple and on top of that, there's a special fictive category with all the urgent tasks.

this is very nice and i like it ! although my ThumbCal has a fingerfriendly taskmanagment and im not sure if i need another one.
Any chance of changing language, maybe with a txt-file ?
Thanks.
I guess I can make it localizable.
There's a list of improvements I would like to perform, I will include it as well.
Was unusable...
Just tried to install it on my Diamond....
I have around 250 tasks, it took over a minute just to get into the program...
Wow!
Wow! Such a cool app! Really finger-friendly and a very nice replacement for the Outlook Mobile Tasks... Thx!
Yet I have one question:
Is there a way to edit the categories?
When creating a new task it is possible to create a new category as well but deleting categories seems to be impossible...!
Is there a way to do that?
And then I figured out that if you use commas "," in the category name the category will be split into two (or more) categories in Outlook where the the first name is the part left of the comma and the second name is the part right of the comma. A little bug?
The built in messaging in WM only shows so many messages per page. You have to keep clicking on the "older" link to keep moving through the messages. So I'm wondering if there are any SMS managers, etc. that will show the entire thread on one page. Also, show the time along with the date?
I too would like to know this answer for our kaisers and tilt 2's. However, i am suspecting it would slow things down a bit, but am willing to see what the difference is. Also the date and time would be nice
mine shows the date and time i recieved my text. not the entire thread though. i always delete my messages anyways. though it would be cool to see the whole thing on one page.

thats what i m looking for as well, the SMS client and build in dialer are the only cons for me with this phone
Mine shows the time on some, and the date on others, but never both on all messages. Makes no sense to me
not sure if this is what you were trying to see but if you go in to the contact individually it shows your entire conversation =)

Try resco contact manager. It incorporates nicely but I don't think it will be what you completely want because the rhodium is a nice device with great graphics. For wm 6.1 it was a great addition, but check it out.
Hope this helps.
Yeah, the date and time show up if it is the SMS was received in the current day. The problem is if you backup your phone and then restore it, like through myphone.microsoft.com, it loses track of the order.
The HTC version does show the whole thread at once, with dates and times but you can't export the thread like you can in the WM threading, which I do by just doing a select all, copy, paste to word, save.
I guess what I'm really trying to get at, is the ability to archive conversations as it appears in threading mode.

What is this?
How many of you use Google+ on Android? If so do you use Google Huddle(Now Messenger)? Have you asked if the huddle could be a webpage or program on a computer instead of just mobile devices? Well I have decided to code a Client that will allow you to use Google Huddle on a PC.
How?
Google Huddle uses Google Talk which is based on a Jabber/XMPP service. If I'm able to use the same method as a regular Google Talk Group Chat Session or even a Google+ Hangout then it's possible. Once I have what I need, I can code an application first then even better a web app for portability.
What help do you need?
I have been researching and I need the address of the Huddle group chat. PM me for more details.
If you want to help then PM me. I do need help so I can continue my project. Hopefully I can have someone help me with the little things I need, this project will be big!

Thanks for the help. Especially for working on the theme.
Any progress on this? I've been trying to reverse engineer their protocol without too much luck. I've figured out that it's (not surprisingly) all based on XMPP but they're doing something someone odd with the actual data. Here's an example client > server communication...
Code:
<message xmlns="jabber:client" type="headline" from="[email protected]/clientid" to="[email protected]"><push xmlns="google:push" channel="realtime-chat"><recipient to="[email protected]" data="" /><data>ChESDGM6NTU3ZGM5NjU6MJIBABIWQW5kcm9pZCBidWlsZCAxMzM5IGQ6MA==</data></push></message>
The data is Base64 encoded but there's something strange going on. When decoded, there's lots of unprintable characters and it doesn't seem to make any sense. Any ideas? I'm trying to write my own app for Windows Phone but can't make any progress til I get their protocol figured out.
