Hey, everywhere, sorry if this thread is on repeat, but I broke my Vibrant a couple of weeks back and FINALLY got my new one. I'm looking for Onyx. Can someone link me?
Oynx, along with all of the other Team Whiskey projects, can be found on their forums, which you can get to through their website (Team Whiskey .com)
You may have to register to see the page. But, I might suggest trying out Bionix. It's the successor to Oynx, and I *personally* like it more as an every day ROM.

Hey, I'm just posting this as a little thanks to the VillainROM developers. More specified, Ninpo. One of the developers.
As many others, my Hero got bricked on the 2.1 update. Clueless was I were, I did not know anything of what I should do. Not very unlike other people on this forum. There has been som threads about this very problem.
Anyways, it was quite late at night. I personally felt I had tried everything possible, and were ready to send my phone in for service the day after. But that would cost me money, aswell as being phoneless for days. So I figured.. I'd give the VillainROM site a visit. To see if updating to their ROM could solve my issue. But as I said, I was clueless. And did not manage to do this on my own.
So I visited their mIRC channel, and told them what had happened to my phone. Luckily, Ninpo was in the channel. He literally helped me for 4,5 hours straight. And we managed to solve the issue at last.
Therefore I'm just posting this post to let you guys know that I'm quite amazed with how helpful the VillainROM developer team are. Creds to them. Really. I also tried the new VR v.12, and I must admit.. I like it better than the original rom. Not only because it does not brick my phone randomly while updating, but also because it runs faster, less unnecessary features.. and the general experience is basicly better.
So I just wanted to give them my thanks. Keep it up, really great with someone knowing what they are talking about helping me out.

Thought i'd add what we did to solve my problem. So people with the same issue can try that too. I were planning on quoting the post, but I'm not allowed to post out-side links (and the post contains a download link). So I'm just going to link to the post instead.
Edit: Werent allowed to add links. I'll add the link once im permitted to link.
Today was my first day trying VillainROM (12.0.0). Having just come from Modaco r5, I can say this ROM is noticably faster. Kudos to the VillainROM devs for delivering a great ROM.
Yes, this guys are FANTASTIC!!! With Villainrom 12 I can use my phone at his top with so many cool APP....

THANK YOU VILLAINROM TEAM!!!!!
Yeah villain team rocks to bad I'm cheap otherwise I would have donated
Sent from my HTC Hero using XDA App
Glad you all enjoyed the VR experience. We are always happy to help.
And to the OP to post a link you have to have had 10 posts, or just post a broken link and let people make it themselves i.e. put a few spaces in e.g "ww w.villain rom.co.uk (remove the spaces)"
Saw this on Twitter:

We can now flash kernels from the Vibrant with redbend_ua wooot!

DO NOT GO INTO THIS THREAD AND SPAM CRAP, LET THEM WORK!!!
I kept this out of the Dev forum so it doesn't clutter it up and really has no developmental worth... its really just an update. Please lets just keep this in a positive aspect.
Its all coming together now; all in good time. If you're following JAC and Wes, you'll also see they are looking through CM6 code and its "looking good"
Yep, saw the redband_ua earlier in the Galaxy S dev forum, it's a pretty exciting news, especially for those who do not have windows PC laying around to use ODIN.
First and foremost I Praise be to the Devs on this site, you are gods to the android community
Second: I looked around the forum and I swear I didn't see a post about this so I apologize if it's a repost.
I was sitting in my house tonight and had a friend come over that I decided to root his evo for him and use the current Mikfroyo. So I get done with the root and rom and start going through things to make sure it was stable. long story short, I opened the Hulu app and it stated that it wasn't supported (ArGH!). I tried the same on my Evo that I rooted two weeks ago and it didn't work either (Loving the Rom BTW thank you for making it, donating when I get the cash)... anyway are any devs aware of this (I tried different versions as well and got the same)
Posted this here just to be safe, if this needs to be else where I hope someone will move it.
Thank you Devs for all that you do and I'm learning to create my own rom on here hopefully one day it will be good enough to post side by side with you guys
Tri
Hey guys I remember a couple months back, xda put up an article talking about "Skydroid ui". There wasn't much to go on back then, but now, it is looking to be a really amazing rom. There will be four ui's baked in (they all look great) and it is supposed to be right up there with cm7 and miui. They have a signup page for building the rom for a specific device, and I was hoping a Fascinate dev out there will see this post and sign up. If any dev out there reads this and decides to sign up, thank you so much! This is the link: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1459992
Ok,writing this post to tell you guys after a countless flashes, countless ROMs and so on : There is NO SUCH THING stable custom ROM ever!
I've tried almost every ROM posted here, and before it on my old Samsung Galaxy Note 2,even when i feeled that finaly i found one, after a week or two after using it should be a bug that hard to find with a daily use but it still exist and when you get to it,its annoying and here i find myself changing to something else.
After a year of using this great phone i finaly realized that is most stable ROM is official CM ROMs that we get throughout OTA.
This post based on self feeling and not coming to offend any of our great developers that hardly trying to make our daily user experience better and easy. You deserve a great THANKS from everyone of us
Thanks,
And sorry for my not very good english!
