[Q] Can I flash WP7 to Internal memory + have Android on SD Card
Hi Folks,
Got a question as you have already seen my title.
I see guides on dual booting WP7 and android from SD card but I just want to keep Android as a sub option. My question is:
1. Can I flash WP7 to internal memory and have Android within the SD card
2. Can I execute Android from WP7 menu?
At the moment I have Aretmis WinMo 6.5 as my main default load and Android on SD card and it works well. But i have got the curiosity bug for WP7 and want to explore further.
Can anyone help please.
Cheers

Yes, you can. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=944288
2. Can I execute Android from WP7 menu?
No, You have to shutdown WP7 then boot phone and then Keep holding power button 'till you see MAGLDR menu. After that, Choose Boot AD SD.

Partition Problem - Android and WP7

Hi,
I'm using wp7 now for more than 2 months and i am quite happy. i can do everything i want to. but now i wanted to install android, so that i can dual boot both of them.
as i have only one 16gb sd card i followed the steps mentioned in the 3rd method, here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=913815 .
But Partition Wizard Home Edition only shows one partition of 200 mb. now i cant really delete the bigger one and create a new one.
maybe you can tell me what i am doing wrong and find a solution. furthermore i am not sure about the right android version i have to use, because i don't know the meaning of nand, sd , magldr...can i use this one
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=970542 ?
Hi bluffmaster26,
On my notebook card reader i also can't see partitions on my 16gb sd card. But everything is ok when i use external USB card reader. Try with such card reader.
did u try it on a different computer?sometimes windows 7 gets messed up?
if that doesnt work, try to post your mini partition screenshot,
i have a 16 gb sd card as well. working gr8
(dont forget to thanks the developers )
hey all,
andreyyor tipp helped.

[Q] Formatted SD card necessary?

Hello guys,
I know this is newbie to ask but i wanted to confirm,
I plan on installing Andriod on my HD2,
I got all things ready as per the guide,
But i want to ask if keeping the SD card empty(With nothing stored in it)
is absolutely necessary to install Android(SD installation)?
if you flash an sd rom and if you do this for the first time it is not so necessary. but after changing a few roms you may face some problems related to sd and can solve these by formatting sd.
Thnx mutil,
I will proceed with my installation without formatting,
If any problems arise I shall come back here...

How do I remove SD lock on Yukie ROM?

Hey dear all,
I was one of the first one to install Yuki's Mango ROM...today I tried to unlock my SD card with a Nokia phone to no avail. Its asking for a password.
Whats the easiest way to unlock my SD card now?
So
you will use your sd card in another phone ?
I prefer miniTool partition wizard, it's easy, free program for windows.
Just plugin your sd card into computer, open this program, delete all partition, add new "Fat32", label primary, and all space for FAT32, then hit enter and plug out
thanks but the card is locked....how does my computer recognize it?
I have an old Nokia phone but it won't format the card because it says I need a password...a password that I do not have.
I need to completely delete everything on it or else my SD card is useless. I can't use it anywhere.
Your pc will just see, that sd card is blocked or sth.
But dont worry, just open the program.
Every time i change wp7 to android i use this.
Sry for my poor english

Just ignore password request and you'll get the option to format the card, just as simple as this mate
P.S. Another opportunity is to install DEV_STORAGELOCK.cab through the WP7-Update-Cab-Sender within Yuki's ROM and then choose to unlock the card
Thanks guys. For whatever reason my PC doesn't find it...and my Nokia won't let me format it. Unfortunately I don't have the Yuki rom anymore. Now it's on stock rom...maybe I'm doing something wrong ? :-S

[Q] Small dualboot question

I've been running wp7 on my hd2 for awhile now and recently wanted to dualboot it to android.. looking at the guides I'm not quite sure about this, will using the partition managers format my data currently held on wp7?
I don't want to lose my texts or contacts and I don't want to have to call ms again for another activation code since I seem to have lost the notepad doc I saved it in xD
I may be wrong but I think it will remove what is on your card already. You can always buy a second SD card and use it to run Android from, just dont boot to WPY with that SD card in the device or it will format it for use with WP7.
how big is your card? you should at least be using a 16gig card if you want to DB, but 8gig is still fine BUT all your files/ data will be erased since you need to reset the phone. Alternatively just like what T-Macgnolia said, get a 2nd card & place the SD ROM there & boot from magldr.
this is what i followed - again yesterday - for my friends HD2's dual Boot system.
remember that the partition for Windows should be a little larger than that of the Andy.
http://www.jayceooi.com/2011/02/10/...hone-7-and-android-on-htc-hd2-with-1-sd-card/
as long as you do things right all will be OK but wrongly done You WONT boot into WP7 again as the partition will be corrupted.
What I do is Get another SD card & make an exact mirror/ copy of the one i use for WP7 so if one fails I still have a backup. Before proceeding though make sure that Both Cards do boot into WP7. check out the link below, it might help.
