I use on my Tattoo widget Toggle Headset, because my tattoo think that the headphones are connected, even though they are not connected!
With use Toggle Headset will disappear the headset icon and sound on the phone works. (Android 1.6, 2.2 Froyo, 2.2 Froyo with Sense)
On Android 2.3 Gingerbread does not work. Icon disappear, sound not works. Only headphone.
Please help. Thank you

Never heard of something that can do that to your phone, except hardware flaw. If you are in warranty unroot, flash RUU and send it to repair. That's the only thing I can propose.

I know this has been covered a bit but I have a quick question. MS is saying you need to have AKU 3.2 to get VC to announce caller's over your BT Headset. Has anyone found a simple way to make this work on an earlier ROM. Lately I've been running mostly Molski's ROM, but I dabbled in Faria's 3.2. I swore I had BT working totally with a 2.26 ROM, but am I on crack?
I liked Faria's 3.2 but I was missing too many calls. Is there any way to upgrade just teh BT in an older ROM to make this work. (I'm sure my inexperience shows in this question. If its impossible to do, just say the word and I'll patiently wait for a new 3.2 or 3.5 ROM or just forget about this)
I have two answers to your question.
The first is use the A2DP hack found in this forum and get a stereo bluetooth headset. The iTech Clip R35 or S35 both come with the two headphones; one with only one earbud, so you aren't covering both your ears. When you have a stereo bluetooth headset, all sound, including the calls from MS Voice Command are redirected to your headset.
The second is use the program found here:
http://www.pdaphonehome.com/forums/...luetooth-headset.html?perpage=20&pagenumber=1
It basically redirects all sound to bluetooth (probably a cheaper and easier fix); I haven't tried it yet, but it seems like it might be the solution you are looking for.
I also liked having the feature of calls announced through bluetooth, but it never did seem to work. I have been meaning to download the program from the site, but just haven't gotten chance. If you try it, let me know if it works.
Thanks.
I wonder how hard it would be to get that little program to run automatically when connected to a head set
yeah theres nothign cooler than wearing a stereo headset while driving. Thanks but no thanks.
I've used BT audio with v1.5, and it wasnt for me. i still use it to listen to podcasts via my headset on occasion though.
The nice thing about 1.6 when it was working (mist have been with Faria's ROM) was that I didn't hear my normal phone ringtone through the headset. It rang like normal through my headset, but it would announce the callers name. Its a cool feature.
edit: I must have been wrong. It does divert the ringtone through your headset as well. This gives me hope that I can work somethign out using BTAudio.
Yeah it is a cool feature. You can go to the notification settings in voice command (Settings -> Personal -> Voice Command) and change it so that notifications are done when bluetooth is available (the second radio button). If the notifications cannot sound through your headset, they will come from the phone speaker so you will still be able to hear who is calling without looking at your phone. Doesn't really help if your phone is in your pocket or if you can't hear it, but I guess its the next best alternative.
I have a cooked T-mobile 2.26 ROM and use MS VC 1.6 over my BT205 no problems. I was previously using the original O2 rom and has it working on that too so both an AKU2.0 and an AKU2.3 work fine. To install try this:
remove VC if installed
remove headset pairing
soft reset
create headset pair and leave it switched on
install vc1.6
soft reset
add path string to HKLM\SOFTWARE\OEM\VoiceCommand\
i.e. \Program Files\Voice Command\VoiceCMD.exe
soft reset
then try the button on the headset a few times
Riptos
I'm not having trouble using BT with VC. I want the Incoming call announcements to come over BT.
I installed Farias 3.2 and it worked, but I decided its not a huge deal. I'll try playing around looking at some of teh links here and see if I can't work somethign out. Thanks everyone.
I would also love for voice command 1.6 to announce incoming calls to my bluetooth headset. Interestingly, low battery announcements come through the bluetooth headset, but not incoming calls. Hmmm. Any suggestions/luck getting this to work?
Best,

VC Caller ID over Bluetooth

Just wanted to let everyone know I tried it out today and it works as expected. Phone audio gets redirected to BT headset on incoming calls.
but does the ringer get re-directed also? cuz if so thats DAMN ANNOYING!
Well I dont mean to sound condescending to a "senior member" cuz im just a junior but did it cross your mind to select "none" as your ringer? Oh, Btw everyone, your welcome for my fantastic little file
What exactly does the file do???
I had troubles with VC 1.6 at first, but now it seems to work OK. Maybe I accidentally followed Riptos's instructions. Don't know.
Also BTAudio is working to redirect audio when I want that to happen, since VC now closes the audio after it finishes.
The only remaining minor glitch is that after giving a dial command, the little simulated dialing noise comes over the phone speaker not the headphone. So if the phone isn't right by, I don't always know whether it has dialed or not.
Any suggestions?
I tried the CallerID program. It works just as described. The only thing is that is takes up ~443.48 KB at startup. I just installed it so I don't know if it increases after a while.
I have a question. If I understand everything correctly, with a AKU 3.2 ROM this CallerID program isn't necessary if I want to get Incoming Call Announcements over Bluetooth. Right??
Has anyone gotten VC 1.6 to announce incoming calls over a STEREO Bluetooth headset? Seems like the discussions have only been for a hands free device. Anyone?
I don't have a 3.XX ROM and Voice Command notifications work on my stereo bluetooth headset without the program because I think wtih stereo bluetooth, all sound is redirected to the headset. I didn't do anything or change any settings, it just worked. I obviously have the A2DP hack installed, but that's it.
Okay I have Mygig radio system in my Jeep Wrangler and just got the VR and Uconnect(bluetooth) enabled, with the mic installed. So I decide to pair up my phone with radio, it pairs fine and everything is recognized, but once paired and try to make or receive a call there is no audio what so ever nor can the callers hear me, its silent on both ends, and I have figured out its not radio, as once I unpair and turn bluetooth, the phone stays MUTE and DEAF, cannot hear ringers, cannot hear opening keyboard sounds, cant hear ring when making calls, cant hear anyone on other end nor can they hear me, as if it goes completly on earpiece and mic on phone. What am I doing wrong, what settings should I have on my bluetooth when to pair?? My phone is running a factory rom, the latest official rom from htc through sprint. Not running any leak version with revA and GPS, just factory. Only mods I have wmwifi router, home customizer, touchflo, htc cube and htc action screen................ Help me please, what settings should be when paired?
So... I've been very hesitant to post this here.
I originally updated to the Haykuro sapphire port some two weeks ago; I have since then tried the "Dude" mod, and the JF ADP 1.5 mod as well.
They all have exactly this same problem: My Lubix LC1 stereo bluetooth headset no longer works properly with the G1. The phone //says// it is connected with both the A2DP (music) and the HSP (phone) protocols; and the A2DP connection works perfectly. But the HSP connection is essentially non-existent, despite the phone saying it is connected under "Bluetooth Settings".
When I try to call someone w/ the phone, the audio is routed to and from the phone itself. There is no way to route the call to the bluetooth headset at all. This problem has persisted through all three versions; I have flashed and re-flashed, etc.
I have gone through two LC1 bluetooth headsets (a mishap with a rather large, rather bored dog.) They both behave in exactly this same way.
The bluetooth is working w/ my wife's Jabra 855 headset. And it worked perfectly fine in the 1.1 and 1.0 firmwares.
So... what's the deal? I'm not enough of a "computer-person" to know how to hack this myself, but if there were a way to port the 1.1 firmware's bluetooth profile to the 1.5 software, that would be awesome.
Much as it's nice to listen to music through the G1, that's not useful at the expense of the headset.
Is my only choice, if I want the 1.5/cupcake firmware, to //REALLY// purchase a new bluetooth headset thanks to the reversion/breaking caused by the Cupcake update itself?
Please help!
each new major upgrade version also comes with a matching radio firmware.
you only upgraded the system image - leaving the device unsynced with the radio image. Its a known issue. once you will upgrade your radio image most of your problem will go away.
radio image for Cupcake 1.5 can be downloaded from official HTC website.
No, I updated the radio. It had no effect on this problem whatsoever. I've done a clean downgrade/upgrade with each of the various 1.5 mods.
This is a problem with the 1.5 software. Even w/ the 1.5's radio and the JF 1.42 mod the LC1 worked perfectly.
No Devices Found
I have the most recent firmware, baseband, etc, but when I search for devices, it never finds any Bluetooth Devices.
Silly question -- but have you been putting those devices into pairing mode?
I am having the same exact problem with my BlueAnt V1 bluetooth headset. With the latest 1.5 builds across the board with the exception of the UK version that released a week ago I cannot use my bluetooth headset at all. It goes through the pairing as normal and shows connected (I even get the jazzy blue outline in the dial screen) but no audio to the headset what so ever same with my Car kit. What changed in the latest builds to the bluetooth profile?
you are not alone, same problem here with German G1 and Cupcake. It does pair with my navigation system and/or Motorola HF800. My navigation system can access the phone, read phone book and dial - but I do have no sound. Incoming calls do ring on the navigation system/headset, but if I pick up the call there is no audio connection. Any idea what to do?
Actually I consider to root and flash e.g. JF firmware hoping that this will bring any change. On the other site I am afraid that this is just waste of time and risk. Strange thing is that there are obvioulsy not many people with same problem, though they do exist and report same problem in various forums.
I have the same exact problem as well. My car radio has bluetooth HSP and A2DP. The A2DP works perfectly but when I dial a call, the HSP doesn't work. However, when I receive a call, it works. Also, I discovered if I disconnect the A2DP profile in the bluetooth settings on the phone, HSP works correctly.
opposite problem- HSP good but A2DP no good
I have the opposite problem as testing567. Phone shows it is paired for voice and media and so does my car (2009 Mazda6). AFAIK when I select AUX on my stereo; it should automatically start the music player on the phone, but it doesn't. When I manually open Music and play a song; it does not output on the phone's speaker nor the car stereo. Weird thing is that when the song is playing; the progress bar shows it playing very fast like it is skipping every 2-3 seconds. As soon as I turn the car off and the bluetooth disconnects; the song automatically resumes playing through the phone's speaker at a normal speed. I do not have another bluetooth audio device to test this with, so I am not sure if it is the car or the phone. No problems with bluetooth phonecalls. My cupcake is the official OTA release and as far as I can tell the radio is up to date (Baseband Version 62.50S.20.17H_2.2219.26I).
Im having the same problems, my bluetooth is paired and when i get a call my bluetooth rings, if i press it once to answer it goes straight to the phone, but if i press it twice i get the audio on my bluetooth. It sucks that you have to press twice just to be able to use your bluetooth. (Try it. Pair your Bluetooth, call yourself with another phone, and answer it by pressing twice on your bluetooth answer button.)
I had the same issue exactly as you describe.
I downloaded the 1.5 Radio version off HTC's website and everything works again
HTH
Smiffy.

what's your radio (baseband) version?
mine is Baseband Version 62.50S.20.17H_2.22.19.26I and it takes 5-10 minutes for my already-paired parrot evo 3k to connect when my car turns on.
i want to figure a way to have my blootooth ring when texted, has anyone figured this out? thanks!
It does automatically. Just turn on notification sounds for texts and have your bluetooth headset connected. Works just fine for me on CM6.
nope, doesnt work for my EVO, always had notification sound on.. never worked in either of my motorola headsets [and my new one is the fancy $100 one that talks to you]
What ROM are you using? Again, works perfectly on my $35 headset and headphones in CyanogenMod 6.
OTA update for froyo.. is it maybe my h17? like, are certain headsets simply not compatible?
Ok, so coming from a Nokia N80, I'm used to holding down the call/answer button on my Jabra BT530 headset, the phone beeps and displays "speak now", i say the contacts name and it dials...
Trying the same thing on my Samsung Galaxy S has no effect???
Supposedly this phone and the BT530 support handsfree profile... so what gives?
I've also tried with a BlueAnt ST3 carkit... and when you push the call button, you just get this funny "bong" noise and nothing happens on the phone...
I went into the BT settings on the phone, and the only profiles it has listed against the BT530 are "phone" and "media"...
Does this mean I have to use the phone to initiate calls? I seriously hope not, as that is now illegal in NZ while driving (which is about the only time I actually use BT) and is liable to land me a $150 fine for using my phone while driving!!!
Unfortunately, its a limitation of Android up to 2.1 Eclair. Voice dialing by bluetooth only works in Android 2.2 Froyo builds which are starting to show up little by little. Until, your phone gets Froyo, you will not be able to dial by bluetooth.
Thanks for the clarification...
I was going mental thinking I had it working when I first got the SGS (ie. before I got "Odin-Flash Happy" ) and that I had "broken it" by using one of the "unofficial" firmwares...
I will be able to sleep tonight
Now I just need a nice stable 2.2 firmware to get leaker
Is this officially listed as a Froyo capability?
I find this seriously limiting, and even dangerous.
What about sending audio to a mono bluetooth headset? Will this be possible with Froyo?
I tried Super BT Mono, but it doesn't seem to work on the Galaxy S.
Thanks!
one tap on the BT headset main button
wait for beep beep
yell out the name (it always gets it wrong)
then it launches the confirmation window
select from (application, contact, phone, crap load of stuff)
then dial...
even though it works... it's not "automatical" enough
it's more like a voice search, than a voice dial
