[REQ]Galaxy Tab stock email.apk (special landscape view version) - Galaxy Tab General

Hello galaxy tab devs!
I am from the nook color forums requesting the pure, unedited galaxy tab email apk. I would like if one of the people here could directly pull the apk from your galaxy tab. Thanks all! All appreciated!

Why don't you just pull down the Tab firmware from samsfirmware.com, and pull out what you need from the RFS images?
Chances are you will need more than just the APK anyway.
Regards,
Dave

Thanx! I will post this from the NC forums

Here you go. This is the deodexed/zipaligned apk from The Fast & Tabious ROM. It may or may not work on a Nook Color...my guess is it won't, but good luck either way.

System App dump of ICS

Hey guys, got excited when I found this... it's a zip of all the Ice Cream Sandwich system apps. I know they need work backporting, so... good luck!

Good luck Devs, make us proud
i want to try launcher it has all the features of custom launcher's available in market lets see how it really work
Sweet! Now can anyone might try to extract the system app files and attach or mirror the apks one by one so we might only choose what we want to use and or port ? Thanks for the link!
I watched the ICS event on YouTube. I'm so excited! And now the XDA Gods have a lot of work ahead of them, so I'm wishing them the best of luck!
Has anyone worked on getting worked on CM7?
Oh MAN I am excited to see what this community can do with ICS.
Happy coding, guys.

Currently the apps are Odexed, so they can't be conventionally installed or resigned. And the current iteration of Baksmali doesn't work with the deodexing process. I'm sure somebody will be able to do so or Baksmali will get an update to work with it. But it'll take some time, a lot of great things coming for Android nonetheless.
iv got past the framework errors, now edtting ram disk to get some services running. ics wont boot without them

This is going to be epic
I've not had a chance to look at these in detail, but can anyone confirm whether the browser is Webkit or Chrome?

[Q] Help

I am a noob at all of this, I have a nook color and I was hoping someone could help me root it and put honeycomb on it. I don't know where to begin. I have read about cyanogen mod and deeper blue but I don't know where to download them or which one I should use?
If you want CM7 on the nook (not the SD card) I would suggest reading thru my post asking the same thing, helped me a lot and you can see the end result.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1442509
1. go thru the directions that CobyHoff posted on the first page to just get rooted
2. after that use my wiki link that I posted on the last page to get CM7 installed
Hope that helps
Long story short, you don't want Honeycomb. Install the mirage-kang CM7.2.

Anything for i815 (Verizon LTE edition)?

Hi. I've got the Verizon LTE version of this tablet (model i815.04 to be exact).
I've rooted following the guide here. This has enabled me to install Titanium, and play around with some other tools.
However, to my knowledge there's no custom recovery or ROMs for this device yet. I'm hopeful that it'll get a Clockworkmod recover soon, along with Cyanogenmod 9, but I have not seen anything yet.
Anyone aware of ongoing efforts in this regard?

Since it's brand new it might be a while still. There still no custom ROM to speak of for the P6800 and it been out for a few months. Just sit back and enjoy it for now , personally I am just waiting for ics to come out no need for custom ROM with this baby.

We also don't have the kernel source for the i815 yet -- so any device specific stuff (like lte), will be much harder to get working.
Gotcha. And sorry for posting in the wrong forum. I misunderstood the rules.
CM9 i'm not too interested in
I do however wouldn't mind getting root access for the 7.7 for some custom apk installation on the fly or voodoo louder installation

I have the Verizon i815 as well. Do you still need the files? I can pull them with Root Explorer and send you zip... How are you going to restore them though with no recovery mode? Just drop them in while Android is running?
Yes, please!

ics on galaxy tab sch 1800

Hi all
I am trying to install ICS on my Verizon original Galaxy Tab. I have rooted it. and it's running galaxy cubed. (actually a friend did this so i don't know exactly what he did) we found several different roms for ICS but none worked.
Does anyone have any idea? or know how to do this?
oops
oh yeah i have cmw 2 running. i think i need a newer version of this. any idea where i can find that? i am really new at this! thanks for any help
Good to see more users on here with sch-i800. I have 2 of them one i put cm9.1 and the other is having some issues which i am trying to resolve. You can get cm9.1 stable you can get it from http://get.cm. The Verizon tab it the p1c also download the gapps from http://goo.im/gapps. you will need these 2 files to get things working properly with ics on your verizon galaxy tab. You need CMW 5 or better to flash it. i suggest following this guide to get to cm9 http://geekniggle.blogspot.com/2011/12/loading-ice-cream-sandwich-on-verizon.html
if you have any futher questions please feel free to ask.
thanks
Thanks! I have ICS up and running and love it so far. However the TV out doesnt recognize the cable any more. Do you know a way to resolve this or is it the bug i have to deal with?
thanks again for your help!
ok.. So I am asking... lol
Let me start off by saying I am extremely new to this whole process, but I do have a SCH-I800 and I would like to see about updating it. and I noticed on the post you had a link to an blog posting on a guide to do this, but that link doesn't seem to work. Any chance I could get that link from you? I am not sure what all the abbreviations are listed below (CMW5, p1c, etc). Does this "guide" also tell you what you need to download to make this work?
Thanks for helping a Newbie out...
I have had the tab since May 2011 and have ran every Rom imaginable. I never could get the video out to work on any cyanogenmod roms. I am back to running 2.3.4 rooted since it seems to run smoother and everything works.

[Q] Neopwn for Nook Color

Hey, guys. I'm about to root my Nook Color and flash either an AOPS ROM or a Galaxy tablet ported ROM if I can find one. I want to do some penetration testing with my Nook, but I know that running Backtrack off the SD card will read as ethernet (eth0) and not allow you to use aircrack-ng or reaver. I know that Neopwn can packet inject off the SD card as well as tons of other goodies, so I want to install it legitimately but the site says Samsung Galaxy products only. Is there a distribution anywhere for the Nook? Would it work if I flashed a ported Galaxy ROM? Does anyone know of a way to install Neopwn on a Nook Color? BTW, I only have experience in rooting phones; I've never rooted a tablet before, and don't want to bother if I can't get some "big boy" penetration testing tools/software on it. Any thoughts? Suggestions?
I appreciate any help guys,
Mark
I don't know of any galaxy tab Roms for the Nook, but if you find one, please tell me. If neopwn works, give it a shot. I'd like to see that working.
