What did you do to fix it?
Probably went into Messaging > Settings > Vibrate

When your phone is in vibrate mode, how do you make it vibrate when you receive a text message? The way mine is set up it doesn't vibrate or do anything, it may as well be on silent.

I am currently having issues. The epic vibrates when getting notifications whiole on a call. It will be heard by other end of the phone. Is there a way to disable notifications while on a call? I have searched.

Download chomp sms from the market. Disable notifications in the stock sms app. You can fine tune your notifications with chomp.

So I just upgraded to official gb using method 2 from rooted stock group and now when I get a text message on gb, I get nothingin the notification bar and no led light or vibration.
So his can I fix this? And I use the stock messaging app if that helps.

Open the messenger and press the options button.
On the bottom is "Display messages notifications in status" on?
Yeah that's the first thing I checked and it's on. Any other ideas?

Try a different text messaging app. Gosms would be my recommendation
