Hello everybody,
I've been following the instructions on addictivetips (id link the page but can't). HSPL3 is installed and I've ran the ROMUpdateUtility.exe and all was well.
But ran into a problem at number 4 on the list. When I try and boot the phone up to select USB Flasher, all I get is a pink circle on screen and a frozen phone.
Any help on the matter would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you.
Hi,
I suggest you use this very useful help thread here.
Read it carefully, then read it again.
Before you go on, have you flashed a new Radio yet? It needs to be a .50 radio to work properly. See the above thread for guidance. If you don't, you might irreperably damage your device.
Once you have a Radio and MAGLDR 1.11 flashed, you can then flash your Android NAND ROM.
You must complete these steps in the right order. If not you will have a very fine HD2 paperweight.
Thanks for the quick reply!
This isn't my phone, I said I'd take a look at it for a guy at work who started going through that guide but didn't finish it.
After talking with him I had a horrible feeling the phone was bricked as he had flashed some things and not others and just carried on!
But it's all sorted now, thanks again for your help.
No worries.

Hello!
I got an HTC HD2 from T-Mobile USA. Now I have got the problem, that I need German language for the phone.
Do some rom files exists which contains German and maybe no provider branding??
And where I can download it??
I used the search button but can't find a clear answer. Only some problems with German keyboard layout.
THX!!
Regards
Chris
No one can help me???
Regards!
You're in luck. NRG Energy Roms are now made in German. Linked below. You'll need to flash your phone and install the proper radio. It's very easy if you read up before flashing. In my sig you'll find a link with info on how to flash your phone. Follow it to a "T" and you'll be fine. Hit us up if you need any more help.
Good Luck.
2nd post, click on the German flag.

Thank you very much!
But before I have to unbrick the phone via Jtag. I'll do this this evening with my new box and will report if the flash works.
The Flashfiles are in normal HD2 section. They are compatible with 1024MB Leo?
THX!

I for one have never heard of Jtag. You don't have to unbrick the phone because if you phone was bricked it wouldn't be working ever again. You have to flash hardspl on the phone to allow you to change its rom. And because you already said that you have a T-Mobile USA phone it should already have the proper radio. Take a look below for instructions on how to flash your phone.

actually jtag is the one possibility for fixing the 51 radio meets tmous brick, but they're fairly expensive, and not many people have access to them. It allows you to write directly to the rom chips so no bootloader necessary.
@Chris021286, you have a brick? and you are going to jtag it? What type of jtag do you have?
We'd all be very interested in your results, please, if you would keep us posted on how you get on.

Yes, the phone is bricked. It was flashed with a Europe LEO flash (512MB). Phone won't start in bootloadermode anymore.
I'll try to reflash the BL via JTAG tomorrow. I'm sure it won't be a problem.
GSM repairing and flashing is my hobby since 8 Years so I have some experience
If you want to know more about JTAG and how to you can send me your ICQ Nr. as PN.

hehe, interesting. I've never had chance to play with one, but read a bit of theory.
Let us know how you get on, a lot of people have bricked them with the wrong radio, it would be good to know it can be done.
Most people just take them back to tmo and play dumb.
Finally I take the time to unbrick the HD2. I sucessfully flashed the bootloader.
Now the phone starts in Bootloader Mode again
But I don't know how to fix the rest.
If I start the phone normal it hangs at HTC Logo (There stands only HTC and nothing more) and the phone isn't recordnized via USB.
If I start it in BL Mode phone is recordnized from Win.
But active sync won't find it...so I can't do step 2
So I continued with step 3^^
Flashing worked ok. I flashed the files from: Energy.Leo.23127.Sense2.5.GER.Aug.28
And have done also an hardreset. But still the same. HTC Logo and Bootloader mode.
I guess I need to install any HSPL or Radio rom, right? But how???
So please tell me how to finish my work
THX!
Regards
Chris
PS: When I fixed the phone I'll introduce you how to unbrik any HTC device via JTAG. And will show you the 3 jtag boxes which are on marked.
It is nothing special, everyone can find it via google, but it seems that it isn't know in this great forum yet
EDIT
Phone starts now
HSPL flashing was starting after I reconnected the phone when the flasher was searching for phone (search takes about 15sek^^).
After that I repeated flashing ROM and it was still the same. But after flashing 2.07.50 Radio, as NRGZ28 wrote, phone boots as it shoud!
This is a noob question but I cannot find the answer in the forums.
I have a HD2 with WinMo 6.5 on it.
I wanted to install a NAND version of Android so I started looking into it. I believe there are several steps but I cannot do any. If I want to upgrade the radio or use MGRLDR111 to boot to the usb flasher menu the phone just freezes.
I run the RUU of either and the phone reboots, I get the colored screen then it goes to the HTC screen with the progress bar and nothing happens.
I am sure this is a noob question and someone will point me in the direction of a link where this question has been asked before but its doing my head in. All help greatly appreciated.

You have your Winmo running ok right now? If so. Have you installed Active Sync on your PC?

Thanks for the help above, I am getting closer.....I think.
It looks like I need to downgrade my spl first as I have 3.03.0000. From the posts I have read it appears you need to do this with an official rom.
Does anyone know where to obtain these. The phone is from Virgin in the UK.
All help greatly appreciated.

Excellent thanks for your help both, greatly appreciated
Friends and forumies,
being sick in bed under fever unavailable to do much, thought to take the best from it and to upgrade my HD2 in Android!
I choosed a ROM, it was the HUPER-DROID, by Pongster and his team, along with a great process description both written and in video.
Installation of HSPL 2.08 was successful.
Installation of MAGDLR was successful
...but then...
the phone started the process to reboot but it DIDN'T. It freeze in the white screen writting "HTC" {in the tutorial video 7:22} and it doesn't proceed in bootloader...
Through the 3color screen I get connected through USB and re-run the MAGLDR 1.13, nothing changed.
I went on trying the MAGLDR v1.11 and v1.10 (desperate indeed), nothing changed.
Of course hard reset does't work.
Let's see the bright side, Virgin UK windows6.5 ROM was a problem which I got rid of(!), but now I stuck with practical new phone which is dead.
I really like my HD2 and I wouldn't like to leave it by so easy.
Any help is welcome.
Thanks in advance,
NickolasV
p.s. Before I make the post I have been searching and searching..! I didn't found anyone with the same problem. And because I don't have the minumim post I can't post in the original thread of pongster.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=769026
I won't start spaming the forum to achieve this, if anyone want to fell free to contact the developers team on my half.
Thanks

Just a thought dude, have you tried simply flashing Stock ROM and trying again?
Magldr wont appear unless radio is 2.15.50 AND spl is 2.08.hspl
enter bootloader, flash radio, adjust spl if necessary, magldr will work.
If the winmo rom you just removed was 3.14 the radio will be fine, any other version it will need changing.
I'm totally a newbie.
I get up to that point by following step by step instructions.
Tigermoto this is my intent to do (if possibly) and to reverse the proccess. I'll start looking for it in HD2-windows6.5 section, I believe I'll find something there.
Samsamuel I have HSPL 2.08 install, as the proccess said. There is nothing about radio. I came acrooss this term by reading in the forum. How I can check it?
Men you are FAST!!!

UNSTUCK!!!
The problem was the the radio version. I'm going to finish the proccess
Thank you all guys.
Now my HD2 is alive again and running HuperDroid!
Going for the contacts Sync..
good to know its running again !!
we too have such critical moments with our hd2's sometimes ! !!
nd its hyperdroid not huperdroid !! !!!
Sorry if there is already a thread about this but I can't find the right one. I've never used rom or flashed anything before. I just read almost everything i could find and followed the instructions.
I updated my spl to 2.08 hspl.
I have the latest radio.
I downloaded magdlr.
I have hd2 toolkit on my pc.
I learnt to flash them.
I chose the rom I wanted--TBD_Sensation_XL_Gen3_stock_V3.7.
And I followed everything...but when I finished--
my phone started and it's stuck on some kind of picture of a robot in a motherlode(blue) and the words TRD ROMS written on the corner.
What to do? Please help.
I'm a noob:3
Do you know how to delete this post. Seems all I had to do was hi-5 my screen a few time and give it a few anguishing taps and it worked perfectly. My apologies
Hello to all of you guys, i have searched the forum but have not found a similar problem that I currently have in hands, so let me start to explain.
I have an HTC T-Mobile HD2
Model No: PB81120
SPL: 2.10.0000 8G XE
Stock Rom: Never tried to install anything or upgrade
The phone worked fine until some days ago it stopped working and hangs on boot, screen all white with the logo all messed up and stretched.
I did a softreset, an hardreset, i can boot it on Bootloader (the tri-color screen) and it detects usb.
So thinking this behavior was caused by its software I tried to reset it (soft and hard) but with no luck, if i try to install via USB the phone dont pass the 0% (and it shows no logo above the bar, only a white rectangle with some black lines), then I tried boot from the SD (8gb class 4) but it hangs on Loading... screen (searching the other threads i found that maybe I need a higher class card and if possible with only 4 or 2gb).
Running Task29 from toolkit or trying to install something from the USB does the same thing as trying to install the Stock ROM (freezes at 0%).
So my question is, am I doing somthing wrong, or do you guys have a solution for my problem? And sorry for my english.
P.S: If needed i will buy another microSD card.
P.S2: If you have any questions, I will try to answer them the best as I can.

I continue with the same problem, as I am unable to post direct links in this forum, I put at the end of previous post a link to one album with pictures and screenshots I took from my phone while attempting a recovery, I hope its enough for you guys to understand whats going on.

Based on the second image, it looks like you're trying to re-flash WM6.5 on it, correct? FYI, v3.14.405.2 is not the latest version. I think that v3.14.531.0 is (and the filename is RUU_Leo_1_5_TMOUS_3.14.531.0_Radio_15.42.50.09U_2.14.50.04_LEO_1.5_Ship.exe). I suggest looking for that (it's likely in a stickied thread in the WM6.5 sub-forum) and trying it. If that doesn't work, you might try downloading the latest radio and installing that first.
Another idea: could your USB cable be flakey, perhaps? If you have another that you can grab, try that.
If you can't manage to re-install WM6.5, try installing Android or Windows Phone 7 (see the respective sub-forums), instead. This guide can help you do it for Android, if you're interested.

Ty for the fast answer, I'm donwloading the ROM right now and later i will update with the results. I cannot install Radio only version because I do not have HSPL installed, and about the USB cable, I'm using it with other devices and it's working fine. (I will try to find another USB meanwhile cable just to be sure).
Update, after downloading the ROM I tried to install it via USB but the strange behavior continues, it does not pass the 0% and after some minutes the setup fails as shown in the album I posted in the first post
I'm not sure what more you can try if you want to keep WM6.5. I suppose that you could try to install HSPL, a new radio and even MagLdr, then try to install the WM6.5 ROM again. If it fails, then just install Android or WP7, I guess. I would just do that, anyways, since WM is dead. I would go with the Android 4.3 (latest version from Google) ROM that's in my signature, but it's up to you.

Are you trying to install HSPL through HD2 Toolkit, perchance? Have you tried the standalone version? A link to it is here. I would suggest right-clicking and running it as an administrator, just in case. After that, try using the HD2 Toolkit to repartition as MagLdr or CLK. If it's still a no-go, then I don't know.
OK, I just did a search and it came up with a slew of threads that possibly describe your problem. Have you looked at any/all of these and tried the suggestions in them?

I realize that not all of them describe your situation perfectly, but the replies may still be helpful. There are a lot of things to try. I would read each of them carefully and try them all (as well as check that, the ones that you've already tried, you did the right way).
