Remove WP7 on Hd2...Please desperate. - HD2 Windows Phone 7 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting an

Hi
I have searched around the forum without any luck on how to remove the windows phone 7 from my uncle's HD2. How can reflash it to the stock rom, which windows 6.5 because activating 7 on the phone is a bit hard and i m not really getting how to do. So I'll just get it back to stock rom and wait for some thing more stable and easier.
Please help me, my uncle's contacts are on this phone, and he cant get it back to normal.

if u didnt backup the phone contacts i guess they are gone because after a flash everything gets lost...u can flash back the stock winmo rom...hold volume down button and start the phone wait till u see the three colored screen...plug in pc till u see usb writing instead of serial...then start flash stock rom from pc...but nothing from ur data will be there anymore...so if u still have the contacts on phone make a backup before u flash

Man. You have two ways.. even to flash nand android or returning back to wm6.5 to return to wm 6.5 u first turn off ur fone, press volume down and power botton to go to the multi color screen .. and then flash ur favorate wm 6.5 rom.. and sorry to tell u that the contacts are alreqdy rlearased if they were on wm 6,5 ..

You can reflash Windows Mobile 6.5 by holding down the volume- button as you power on the phone. Then just flash a stock ROM through the bootloader like normal.
As for his contacts being on the phone, if they were in Windows Phone 7 you can back them up using a Gmail account, and if they were on Windows Mobile 6.5, then I'm sad to say that they have been erased.

htc hd2 does not show sd card
Thanks guys i have revereted back to win 6.5 on my htc hd2 but i have problem with sd card my phone dose not show any card is installed

You have to format the SD card.
I don't know if you can do it in WinMo (probably you can)
Otherwise you'll have to do it on your pc.

I formatted the SD card back to FAT32 in a digital camera.

You can-
You can format the SD card on Win Mo 6.5
Go to tools/format SD card.
Format it to whatever you need.

depends whether Wm6.5 can recognize this "formatted" partition created by WM7
if unable to, you probably need some tools or software
or use a digital camera or for me, SD card reader etc

You can use Android. It works!

Go online and google "free partition manager".
Or look around the various threads, theres links to partition and formatting software in the wp7 threads because of this exact reason...
Cheers...

To get your micro sd card formatted back to its original size just use the tool on *THIS* website and when formatting go into the options and change FORMAT SIZE ADJUSTMENT to 'ON' so it detects the hidden partition.
Mark.

To format SD cards
Normally i just flash clock work mod recovery, and do a format from there, its pretty easy and i can set up my SD card for Ext2 while at it

hi, I assume when we flash stock rom during bootloader "usb" after we installed wp7, things like hspl, magldr , radio will be removed as well.
is there anyway that we can keep wp7 , and leave android sd build in another sd card ? So when we want to build android, we simply just swap the wp7 sd card with the android build sd card. is there anything we need to do to achieve this ?

If you flash a stock WM6.5 rom via bootloader usb mode then the only thing that is lost is Magldr and your previous rom. HardSPL and your Radio can only be overwritten by flashing a stock WM6.5 rom via microsd card method.
When you are using WP7 you CAN NOT hotswap microsd cards or your new card and the previous card you took out will not be recognized by WP7 anymore. I have seen some posts of people saying you can load Android via sd card while using WP7 but I have not done this and cannot verify its validity.

More trouble...
I went back to 6.5 ...And my phone reports only 180 Mb of memory instead 512 !!! I tried task29, flashing Stock rom, Custom roms, everything... And it still not going over 200MB of total memory, I can feel the phone lagging!
So, f this SD-card formatting issue, what about the more serious problem of downsizing HD2's memory in half after WP7!!!
Anyone, please HEEEELP!!!

Is that internal memory, storage memory? What is it giving for total, used and free?
Can you take a screenshot and post it?
If your phone only registered a total of 180Mb then its very doubtful that the stock rom would have flashed so im sure the memory is still there.. A screenshot of your memory screen would be very useful.

i see. thanks for ur advice. just curious , when we install our wp7, is our wm6.5 still in phone ? cos my energy start up screen is still there . or did i missed one step in front to do a task 29 ?
if i want to go back to my sd android and wm6.5, the step is just flash a wm6.5 (ex: energy rom) rom over right ? or i have to do a task 29 first ?

mskip, here is what WM 6.5 reports after I:
- removed the SD card (formatted by WP7, did use the sdformatter tool to revert back to fat32, thank for that tip which you posted on some other thread
- went into bootloader
- did the task29
- flashed the 3.14 stock rom (comes with .51 radio)

Total storage : 180.98 MB
Used storage: 53.71 MB
Free storage: 127.27
Total program: 336.93 MB
Used program: 136.41 MB
Free program 200.53 MB
I tried some other ROMs, like CleanEx Core V12 which report more memory, but not as nearly as they should (its a 576 mb rom and I flashed a 50.14 radio before the ROM) and it looks like this:

Total storage: 283.95 MB

Noob. Need Help Starting OVER From Scratch

After 2-3 weeks of using Android on my HD2, I'm totally sold! However, I installed Android on a card that also had lots of WinMo stuff on it. I would now like to start over from scratch on a totally clean 16GB card. I would like some info, however, before I start.
1. I have purchased several apps from the App Store. Should I uninstall them from my current SD card? My concern is that the store will not allow a second install to the new SD card.
2. Should I reformat the new card using the WinMo operating system or the formatting capability of my Vista laptop?
Any additional suggestions will be greatly appreciated. BTW, I'm intending to try darkstone SuperRAM FroYo v1.5 [kernel: Hastarin custom] first. Depending on how that goes, I may try MDJ FroYo HD v.4.6=-[FRG83D][kernel:MDJ S8.0]. I am currently running MDJ_FroYo_HD_v._4.4_MDJ_S7.6HD.
Thanks.

No need to worry about the store, the Windows Mobile Marketplace is tied to your Windows Live account, so when you switch back to Windows Mobile 6.5, or Windows Phone 7, they will already be outdated and useless anyways because WinMO6.5 will feel like crap, and some programs in WinMO6.5 won't work in WP7.
Backup whatever you think you will need on the SD Card.
I recommend refreshing the MicroSD card with SD Card Formatter 3
However, in Options, Format type = FULL (Erase ON), and Format Size Adjustment = ON.
This will wipe everything off from the MicroSD Card.
NAND Androids are pretty good so far, so if you are going that way, read up on MAGLDR and how to install. You will need HSPL 2.08 and RADIO 2.15.50.14
You will also want to read up on Clockwork Recovery.

Sorry, I was unclear. I was talking about the paid apps I installed from the Android Market. Should I uninstall them from my current Android installation before starting over?
Are you recommending AGAINST SD Android versions? That's what I've used so far and am pretty impressed. I also like to have the security of staying away from ROM installs (I have a European HD2, so I'm not sure about the memory issues). Plus, I've read that darkstone's SuperRAM FroYo v1.5 is the fastest HD2 Android version available. Speed would be my only criticism of Android on the HD2 so far.
Thanks for your response.

I think your answer is meant for NAND but if I understand correctly then the mentioned new ROM are SD card / RAM builds
My suggestion
1) for Dark stone build is to start from scratch. If you want to restore all your apps etc then the best option is to use Titanium Backup and then you can restore all your apps +/- settings. For Contacts / Calendar Google account sync is the best option
2) if you are going for MDJ 4.6 build then just copy your data.img from the 4.4 build and place it in the downloaded 4.6 build folder and you are all done. all your apps, data, settings etc will be as before...
Before you do anything make a backup of your important files in the SD card and the data.img file from the old 4.4 build ...very imp. Once formatted you can copy the file back into the SD card
For Formatting you are better off using the default format option in windows PC as it allows a better slower format and you can specify the cluster size (32 /64 kb). For me the SD formatter 3 program did not work and kept giving errors.
As for SD card ROM i think they are great but unlikely to develop further due to stagnation.
The RAM build has problems with using HTC SENSE base (as its too big for the RAM space avail) and i found them to be a little unstable with likely hood of data corruption which is easy to addresss if you keep a backup of data.img on your PC.
At the moment NAND is developing fast and with usable and stable HD desire builds available now , but is a little complicated to set up at first. However if it all goes wrong...it is definitely possible to go back to Win Mo and start all over as before. You should try both if possible and then go for the one you like.
My only probs with the SD build was of speed of bootup which was at 3 min, slight lag in the build and occcasional wakeup lag / SoD and i found it difficult..otherwise no complaints.

Which cluster size do you recommend, 32 or 64?
Which NAND version do you recommend? I'm looking for speed and simplicity. And I have the European (English) HD2. Isn't there an issue with memory?
If all fails with the Nand install can I just run the WinMo ROM I currently have installed from my PC?
Thanks for your response.

HELP SD Android won´t 1st boot

Flashed some day´s ago WP7 but I reverted to WINMO again... and when I try to put an Android Built on it won´t boot...
I get a cmd lines, kernel something and it get the HTC screen and it get stuck in it... Tryied lot´s of diferent sd builds but the result is the same.
I already formated my sd, tried in other WINMO rom´s and other sd and the result is the same!
I have HSPL 1.66
I have the last radio
I have the same as always and previously the the Android worked fine...
Strange!!!
HELP
Please
You said you formatted your SD card, but did you repartition it? When WP7 is installed it consumes all but 200 MB of your SD card so if you try to reformat it, you will only have 200 MB free unless you repartition it.
Did you say you tried other SD cards? Also, are you running Android from the SD card via Haret from Windows Mobile? Or, are you running a NAND Android ROM?

1- Sure i repartitioned it at full size... wipe de partition, and format a new primary partition in fat32.
2- Android SD via Haret.

Do you have Android SDK installed, so that you can run logcat and see what's happening?

Nope, don´t know how
Dont think it´s a problem with the Android SD builds, I tryed some diferent and the problem keeps there...
The problem must be with WP7, but now all is the same as before but Android don´t boot and I need Android but don´t want to but NAND on it right away because I like WINMO still...
Please help, I´m not the only one with this problem...
I get a cmd, black screen and some text, the last is...
"jumping to kernel (custom)"
And them it crashes on the green HTC BOOT SCREEN.

Try Task 29 via bootloader, flash stock HTC ROM, Reformat SD card on PC and then again on WinMo. Transfer files while in WinMo on SD card or via SDcard adapter, and try booting Android again.
Did you by any chance transfer files on SD card while in Magldr if so the files may be corrupted (known issue) which may explain the problem with kernel not booting up.
Hope this helps.
Sorry for hijacking but nobody will reply in my thread and I'm becoming impatient lol. Can anybody help me?
Hey guys. I'm currently running this ROM, I've been using it for a few days and have had no problems but today, when I turned the phone off and turned it back on, it took ages to turn back on. Then when it did it all looked them same but was kept freezing etc., then up in the notification bar it said "SD Card Removed Unexpectedly" then my phone went crazy with FC's.
So I took out the battery and restarted the phone. Then, it would turn on and go to the lock screen but then it would reboot and be at a continuius* boot loop of the HTC 'Quietly Brilliant' screen.
So then I took out the battery again, this time I took out the SD card too and booted up and my phone was normal again. Obviously with no phone storage though as there was SD card in. Then after I just skipped the setup I put my SD card back in to my phone and went to the music player and all my saved songs on my SD card played. But no internal storage (I have the SD card partitioned with a 1GB Ext3 partition). Then with the SD card in knowing it still works I rebooted again, only to come back to the HTC screen again.
So basically, how can I fix this?
If I'm going to need to format my SD card is there a way I can backup what's in the Ext3 partition?
Thanks,
L.

lrbpereira - I'm the guy that posted having the same results as you in your other thread (this one seems to be getting all the action, though). Just curious, which ROM are you trying? I've been trying Warrenbread's, but I'm thinking about trying another just to give it a shot.

Hi, i´m on Dutty´s 14 PTG. I tryed Energy and the result was the same...
I think it´s someting that WP7 installed on the phone memory... Don´t know why task29 don´t resolve it... But I can´t put the Android SD working...
And it´s seams that this is a problem that isn´t only mine... you - koz - have it too...

Sorry, I should have been a bit more clear - I was curious what Android ROM you were trying to run from SD. Have you found a solution to this yet? Did you try flashing back to a stock ROM, then HSPL & then try an android rom from SD? I'm considering giving this a shot, but I haven't had the time lately.
EDIT: I resolved my issue by reformatting the SD again (I've done it multiple times & multiple ways). This way worked for me. First, back up everything you want to keep from your SD card onto your PC. Download this & install on your PC: http://download.cnet.com/Partition-...62200.html?part=dl-6285158&subj=dl&tag=button . With SD card in the phone, connect to the PC in USB mass storage mode. Start Partion Wizard and format the card to FAT32 at 32kb and as a primary drive. After that, drag-n-drop your flavor of Android onto your SD and boot it up. Hope it works for you.
EDIT 2: After getting android running, I reinstalled all my files/folders back onto the SD card, however, this broke android again (I couldn't get it to boot from SD). So I tried turning it into airplane mode while running windows mobile - and it worked. I can now boot to android from SD as long as I first turn on airplane mode. So, I don't know if the above reformatting was part of it. If someone gives this a try, it might be good to turn on airplane mode and try to boot before attempting the above formatting info. Please post results if you try it and I'll try to edit the above.

[Q] HTC HD2 now hangs on 02 Welcome Screen

Hi
I seem to have killed off my HTC HD2.
I followed a posted instructions link on here
Phone has
2.15.50.14 Radio installed
HARDSPL 2.08 installed
I then went and tried to use MAGLDR. This went through but on reboot phone stalls at the Blue 02 weclome screen.
Tried many reloads of all the above but it still hangs. Any advice.
The only issue I think I have is that its a 320MB version as it was one of the first to the UK.
Hi
Just to let you know if you get this issue I solved it. Used Task29 and rebuilt phone up from there. Runnimg WM7 but not going to keep it as I'm finding it very boring.

Do you have a 320mb pre-release version?
Sent from my HD2 Droid HD using XDA App
you are only guessing you have a 320meg version, you have the proper eu version not a test unit, i got mine from o2 on the day it arrived
Hi
Not sure now. In WM7 in phone about it now states
Total Storage 158.29MB
Avaailable Storage 61.96 MB
This is causing me a real issue as it doesn't see my SD Card nor can I find any settings to use it.
becayse wp7 takes up the internal memory, and not all sd cards are compatable with wp7
Format your card with Panasonic SD Formatter with....
Format: FULL
Erase: ON
Size Adjustment: ON
Then put SD card into phone and re-flash WP7 and it should work properly and you see all your free space. If you view the card via PC it will say you have 200MB free space as WP7 partitions your card, The 200MB is used by system and the other partition is your storage space. Remember not to power on phone without SD card though.
If you still dont get full space its likley that your card is not compatible so you will need to use another.

WP7 Noobie needs help

Hey guys,
I have kind of a bad time figuring out what the requirements for Windows Phone 7 are. I checked my SD card (Kingston 4GB Class 4) - Seems to be working.
I read sth. about WP7 encrypted SD Cards. Does that mean that I have to unlock them somehow after they are formatted for Windows Phone?
Now I'm wondering which rom I should install. I would go for Tango, but I'm wondering if the experience is the best, since it's not released yet. So which Rom is the most reliable? (Mango or Tango)
And how should I partition the NAND? Can I use the NAND toolkit for that?
Besides activating the rom, do I have to mind anything else?
Do I always have to update via a Windows machine?
Thanks in advance!
PS: Right now I'm on Android with clk installed.
Any "compatible" SD card is fine with WP7 ut it is recommended to use 8gig or even 16gig card since most of the apps are a it huge. WP7 installs on NAND so what ever you need from there make a backup/ copy of it.
if your phone has HSPL 2.08 just press the Vol Down & Power & you will see a tri-color screen with HSPL 2.08
this is what I did to install Tango
- HSPL 2.08
- Task 29
- Radio_15.42.50.11U_2.15.50.14
- MagLDR
- MagLDR Repartition 300/ 45
- Magldr
- Service
- Clear SD MBR
- uselast24NAND
- USB Flaser
- Flash WP
- Done!
if still the error persist try replacing the SD card coz mine had a problem with Trancend's 16gig card.

lol, there's no difference between MagLDR and magldr. (Except capital letters) Magldr stands for Magloader.

I use HD2Owner Tango Build. It's rock stable and fast. Android can't beat it. Advantages bsides speed and simplicity are excllent camera and 720p video recording. Battery life is pretty decent, too.
Installation is different to Android NAND. All you have to do is HardSPL you phon, install proper Radio and Task29 before installation. When you finished HD2Owner Rom download (see my signature), there'll be a DWI.exe which need to be run while your HD2 is connected through 4. USB Flasher
But everyone tell as about something other.. once you need to click Services > uset last NAND and sth. about SD... next doesn't tells it.
How long can take first boot with 16GB card? I installed Tiger.. go sleep and mornign nothing change (about 6h of "loading system"). Now I fight with that whole day and nothing... Android is simple like 2+2, but WP7 is more complicated.. Once it says "you have wrong SD" other time it doesn't start. It's fak up to my brain...
I've Euro Leo 512MB and Kingston 16GB mSDHC cl4! and I looked into topic about SD cards and other posted about this card in positive.
I did every tutorial from this forum.. noone works for me
My neighbor bought Samsung Omnia W and I want to test this WP7, he is incredibely happy about OS
#EDIT
OK, I install [email protected]'s rom and after 25 minutes od loading system I turn off phone by remove battery and I checked SD card.. nothing changed.. 1 partition fAT32 with my files. But tutorials write about 2 partitions.. 200MB FAT and rest of unidentified to RAID. How to prepare that? Maybe that's the problem.. it's too big card for first run?
The size of your card isn't a problem. When you read in tutorials about 200MB partition and RAID partition, the OS takes care of this, you do nothing.
HD2Owners ROM is a very good place to start with WP7.5 on HD2.
Peace
Edit: ROM installation shouldn't take more than 5 minutes, regardless of microsd card size, once preliminary steps are taken =)
So I do something wrong.. why everyone can have WP7 but not me? You know how many times I do today Wipe Task29? Bllion? more or less
Flashing partitions one by one, flash good radio, flash aMAGLDR 1.13... I think I do everything ok but it's not.
OK, try to install next thousand of times...
#EDIT
LOL by mistake I install without SD card and install correct but one problem.. when I put SD card into phone, it kaboom, have bootloop.
I think the bootloop is because you installed without the sd card.
Reinstall using option 5 in magldr with the sd card in place and it should be good.
Peace
OK I did it, but "Storage card not working", can I set partitions on other device such as PC with gParted? Any idea to which code of partition have this second part of SD? I'm bored of that
I must admit, the partitioning of the SD card by windows can present a serious flaw to rom installation, especially when things don't go according to plan and you end up with an unrecognised SD card.
Do you have a spare one you could use?
Honestly, this would be easiest way....
Peace
---------- Post added at 05:30 PM ---------- Previous post was at 05:26 PM ----------
Is your SD card recognised if plugged into a pc? If so then reformatting is the way forward, then you should be able to use it again. Activekilldisc or gparted, any of those should do it - as long as it is "seen" by the pc.
Peace
Today I kamed new allocation table (MBR too) and make partition whole disk primary fat32, format it in Nokia E71 (like in one of topics like) and phone can't reformat it now to 2 partitions (200MB fat + rest unidentified). I dont know why.
OK I give up, thanx for any help. I back to Android.

You really should download the HD2 NAND Toolkit. You can use the toolkit to flash HSPL, MAGLDR, or clk to your HD2. It has all of these included in the download for the Toolkit. You can also use it to flash an .nbh file to your HD2. This means you can flash Splashscreens and Windows Mobile ROMs with the Toolkit also.
Go to this thread to learn how to dual boot Windows Phone 7.5 and Android. But just so you know Android can only be run from SD card when you have WP 7.5 installed in NAND. You can not however dual boot Android from NAND and WP 7.5from SD card as WP uses your SD card as internal memory.
Last of all for your on good please read the guide in my signature so you can hopefully educate yourself about exactly what the MAGLDR is and what it's function is. Plus it is a load more of info I think would very much help you to read.

The first thread you linked is a tool used to install Android to NAND widget means Android boots from internal memory. So unless you want to just use Android on your HD2 this is not the guide for you right now.
The second thread you linked is to a SD card buildvthat uses Super RAM which means that part of the main Android system boots into RAM on start up widget makes the build run faster. If this is what you want to use for your Android you just need to download it and extract the contents of the .zip file to the root of your SD card and then either use the file explorer to touch on CLRCAD and then HARET, or you can install a dual boot app for Windows Mobile that you can use to boot your Android from SD card.
I just want to correct a very very wrong statement, WP7.5 is very well supported. The HD2 is often better supported by the dev community than official WP devices, infact the HD2 got Tango before any other WP phone. Also with WP7.5 on NAND you can dual boot so you can have Android and WP7.5, you can't do that the other way around. I would suggest dual booting HD2Owners ROM found HERE along with AmericanAndroid on the SD found HERE. These two are both realy stable and well supported.

Ok let me see if I can walk you through this some. First download the 02.04.12 HD2O© ROM, the AmeriCanAndroid AOSP HD2 SD card build, the Leo_RADIO_2.15.50.14, the EASEUS ALL-IN-ONE Partition Manager Software mentioned in the guide I linked, and if you do not already have it download the HD2 NAND Toolkit. You will also need to download and install Active Sync or Windows Mobile Device Center (these programs have the USB drivers you will need) depending on what version of Windows you have, you will just have to google for a download as I do not know what version of windows you have, I suggest you put both the WP7 ROM, the Android SD card build, and the 2.15.50.14 Radio in a folder that you can easily remember were they are on your computer. Also go ahead and install both the HD2 Toolkit and the partitioning software on your computer.
Now to make sure you do not have any problems with your SD card I recommend you do a full re-format of your SD card. You will need a USB card reader and a Micro SD card adapter.I linked them just so you will have a visual reference of what you need, but those are the ones I have and they work great. Aslo if your computer has a card reader you like mine does you just need a Micro SD card adapter. Now back to re-formatting your SD card.
Place your SD card in the Micro SD card adapter, then place the Micro SD card adapter in the USB card reader (or the USB card reader on your computer), and then plug the USB card reader into one of the USB ports on your computer. Let your computer install the drivers and go to the windows start menu and click on Computer or My computer depending on which version of Windows you are using. You should see the SD card as a removable drive. Right click the drive and select copy and then create a folder to paste the data that is on the SD card already so you will have a backup. Now right click on the drive again and select format, when the format window pops up make sure to uncheck the the box beside Quick Format and also make sure it says FAT32 under File System. Click Start and then click Ok on the warning window that pops up. Then set back and relax until the card is done being formatted.
Now you need to make sure you have at least 50% or more battery, but I suggest you have a full charge before you start just to be safe. Once you have the proper battery level you need to boot your HD2 into the bootloader by holding the volume down button down while you power on your HD2. When you see the multicolor boot connect it via USB and wait until you see the Serial in the white bar of the bootloader change to USB. Now open the folder with the 2.15.50.14 Radio in it and extract the files from the .rar file, you will need Win RAR to do this. Once you have the files extracted click on the CustomRUU.exe file and follow all of the on screen instructions. Once the RUU is done you will have the 2.15.50.14 Radio installed on your HD2.
Next you need to boot your HD2 back into the bootloader and connect it to your computer via USB again. Open the HD2NAND Toolkit and click on the Install HSPL button under Main Tools. Follow the on screen instructions and when it is done you will have HSPL 2.08 installed on your HD2. Now go back to the HD2 NAND Toolkit and click on the Insatall MAGLDR button under Main Tools. Follow the on screen instructions and when it is done you will have MAGLDR 1.13 installed on your HD2.
Now that you have MAGLDR installed on your HD2 it should only boot up to the MAGLDR 1.13 main menu. Go to option number 5 USB Flasher and then find the HD2O ROM file you downloaded and extract the files drom it. Once the files are extracted click on the DWI.exe and follow the on screen commands. When it is done you will have Windows Phone 7 on your HD2.
Now you need to follow the part of the guide you linked that I have quoted below. I left the link to the video of the method that I have quoted so watch it as it is a very good video. Oh and in case you do not notice it in the video, you need to hold down the power button while your HD2 is booting to boot to the MAGLDR main menu. And the video will show you how to get the Android build to boot on your HD2.

THIRD METHOD - USING A SINGLE SD CARD - HERE IS ANOTHER ALTERNATE METHOD PROPOSED BY XDA MEMBER HYELLOW (UPDATED)
1. Put your sd card inside the hd2 and power on.
2. Go to about screen, in settings, and reset your device. Let it reset and boot to WP7 again. While booting to WP7, it'll create the partitions it needs, so this is important. After you have gone through the setup wizard, go to about screen and reset your device again.
3. When it has booted into magldr screen, remove the sd card and insert into pc. (make sure that magldr is shown and stays there at bootup, otherwise it'll boot straight into wp7 without sd card and that is not what we want.
4. You'll see two partitions. A whopping 200mb of fat16 partition and the other is unformatted. Now right click on the unformatted partition and click delete. After that, click apply. Now you have unallocated space. Right click on the unallocated space and select create. Set parameters to logical and unformatted and size the partition. This will be your WP7 partition, so decide how much you want to allocate to it, this is permanent, no changes afterwards can be made. Also, make sure you move it to the end of the sd card in the same 'create' window. Hit apply. IMPORTANT When using this method make sure that the wp7 "unformatted partition" is larger than the Android partition otherwise the wp7 "unformatted partition" will move in 2nd place and you will not be able to resize the fat 16 / android partition.
5. Sit back and take a break.
break.
6. You now have a green fat16 partition to the left, some unallocated grey portion in the middle and your WP7 partition in modern turqoise colour on the far right. Agreed? Now remove the sd card from PC and insert in HD2.
7. After you have inserted the sd card, let it boot into WP7. Remember what your last action was when you were still in WP7? Yes, you pressed reset, so the device actually thinks he is still resetting the device. He might do it too, but just go through the setup wizard again.
8. Go to about screen and verify your storage. Don't look strange if when the storage has a different of about 1Gb, this is swallowed by WP7 for system stuff etc. Are you happy with the progress so far? Then power down your device and remove the sd card. Allow the HD2 to fully powered down as sometimes the screen is pitch black, but the device is still turning off.
9. Insert the sd card in pc and, using EASUS right click on the green fat 16 partition and select resize/move. Now fill up the rest of the unallocated space and hit apply. This is your android partition.
10. Format the sd android partition (not the whole sd card!) using EASUS to FAT32 using 32 or 64 kb cluster size and put an android build onto it and test.
11. IMPORTANT You need to convert the wp7 unformatted partition to primary for the sd android to see the sd card Use minitool partition wizard to do this. Right click on your WP7 unformatted partition and select modify and then click on set as primary and hit apply. Here is the link for minitool: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=10887494&postcount=372

Hope this is detailed enough for you.
T-Macgnolia did a great job with the walk-through the only thing I would suggest is that you can save yourself a LOT of headache if after you get the HD20 ROM installed use CAB Sender and send one of the partition updates from xboxmod to your phone. This will let you skip all the hard partitioning stuff. The CAB's with various partition sizes can be found HERE. After you send the CAB you will have to go to 'Settings' -> 'about' -> 'reset your phone' -> 'yes' -> 'yes'
From that point on you can finish with installing Android onto the SD card.

Well to be very honest to you I have only flashed four WP7 ROMs to my HD2. So my knowledge of the ends and outs of WP7 on the HD2 is somewhat limited. I do remember reading something about Cab Sender. I think you have your HD2 booted into the WP7 ROM and your HD2 connected via USB to your computer to I se the Cab Sender to transfer cab files to your HD2 and install them also. Maybe XDA Seior Member voluptuary can spread some more light on it for you. But if I remember correctly if what voluptuary is telling to do takes out Step 1 to 11 of the guide I qouted and everything in the video up to here he puts te Android build on the SD card as I think it will. Then I say it sounds like you may want to check it out I am willing to bet it is not complicated to figure out.
Now just on a side note, I do still say it would be a very good idea to still do it te other way even if you try the Cab Sender. It is always a very good idea of how to manually do things. This way you understand a little bit better what you are doing to your device. And remember knowledge is power.

All you would have to do is after you install the HD20 WP7 ROM send one of the partition CAB's I linked to earlier, so say you want a 2GB partition for Android you would send "DEV_EXTRAPART_2G.cab" with CAB Sender and then do a full reset from within WP7. Then let WP7 reboot and you should be all set to power down the phone take the SD card out and copy the 'Android' folder over to the SD card that you would have taken out of the ZIP from the AmericanAndroid thread. You have to be sure to follow the few instuctions in the AmericanAndroid ZIP readme to get it to boot via MAGLDR.
Then to point MAGLDR to the right place to boot Android you need to, while powering the phone on with the loaded up SD card, press and hold the power button to get into the MAGLDR menu then go to '10. Services' -> '1. BootSettings' -> '3. AD SD Dir' and then select the 'Android' folder you just copied over to your SD card.

Well to get a Windows live account you just have to go to live.com and creat a account or just creat one when you go through the set up when you first boot WP7.
But I think what you are asking is how to get live services working. To do this you will have to contact Microsoft. Check out this thread for more details on it. I got my code over live chat on m computer, I told them it was a HTC HD7.
Or you can use skype and call 1-800-642-7676
its microsft Us support number and its toll free so you can call it on skype for free (from anywehre in world) say you have a technical problem and its user related.
then it will connect you to an operator
he/she will ask for your problem, just say u have a HTC HD7 phone and it wants a 25 digit activation code from u.
Then he/she will ask for your phone number, ur operator, ur email, and your name (don't worry they r not gonna spy on u, they just want it for registration, believe me I know ;-P )
then u have to be on hold for 5-10 mins and he/she will read u the activation code
BUT: if you have a poor connection or bad English language skills then the chat method is far better
PS: my opinion as an ORD? it doesn't worth the hassle. I remember after lots of hours spending online and finding the best rom and the best way to change to WP7 and finally activating it... I couldn't make it through the first day on WP7 (even thou I had SD android, the wake up bug really bugged me). then I just flashed to an ICS rom and then it was happily ever after
ok thanks evrey one soo i see a lot of ppl say thet WM7.5 is not thet good...
but i have 2 more qestion:

nope, not at all, well it's not like a quadcore phone but it is pretty well for ours, still far better than wp7 though ↖(^▽^)↗
and for the rom if ur looking for beauty and performance together the ics miui.us by smokin is awesome, but if ur looking for stock looks of ics and ofc performance then nexushd or aokp are cool too ㄟ(≧◇≦)ㄏ
