Loading a ROM onto a phone that won't boot.

Hi,
I suspect that a faulty ROM programme is keeping my friend's HTC P3600 from booting up properly. If he holds the Windows key (bottom left) at the same time that it boots, it will boot (most times). I can see it on my computer in as much as the driver loads, but it drops before I can get sync to see it.
Is there some way of hacking into it to load a new ROM if it is not seen by sync? Or is this now a brick? Thank you in advance,
WMT
Does the phone go into bootloader? Power+Camera+Reset, resulting in the tri-colour screen? And does this go USB when plugged into the PC?
If Yes and Yes then it should be possible to load a new ROM.

HD2 stuck on orange Windows screen

I just tried hard resetting my HD2 (got it for a couple of days), and after doing so the phone just hangs on the orange Windows screen after the HTC one. the progress bar keeps on loading and then all over again. If i connect the device to my pc it shows me the device on Activesync... dunno what to do.
are you on a stock or custom ROM?
try flashing a different radio/rom from the bootloader
a task 29 beforehand would help a lot too
i'm on stock rom, and as i mentioned, i've only got it for a couple of days so i'm kind of a noob with this device (coming from HTC Hero), what's a task 29?
do you know which version? 1.43? 1.66? is it a TMO US?
a task 29 is a format of the phone, then you can install a ROM on a clean device
it is the 1.48. It is not a T-mobile phone, it's an unlocked one.
can you go into bootloader and flash the stock that way?
did you install or try to modify your rom before the issue happened
yes you can
turn on your phone while holding VolDown
connect your phone via activesync
it'll state its connected via usb
just flash a rom as you normally would

[Q] Need Help

Can't downgrade from RADIO_2.15.50.14** to RADIO_2.12.50.02_2 are unlock it
What exactly did you try?
And what exactly is on your phone as of now (OS, HD2 version, SPL, etc.)
It´s quite difficult helping without basic data.
Sorry hd2 with w7
hd2 with w7 cant downgrade so i can get batter battery life keep getting error 260:connection
Do you have Windows Mobile Device Center on your PC? If yes, this actually installed the older drivers for your HD2, enabling the system to connect with it.
Did you put your HD2 into bootloader mode (tricolor screen) before connecting it to the PC? The USB flash mode from MAGLDR is not the same!
Once in bootloader mode, you could use an RUU.exe for a Radio ROM.
i have no problem upgrading and downgrading, just keep trying and do it slow you might skip a step order. so far its easy for me to do that
Thank you
Got it to downgrade now if i could just unlock again usb plugged in and Zune is on and it saids to plug in usb and turn Zune on
I recommend to flash a custom ROM which comes with all the Chevron unlock stuff cooked in - means, you won´t face any re-lock issue anymore.
Search in the development thread, for example this one.

[Q] HD2: Hacking without a USB port with MAGLDR?

Hi,
Im looking to get a HD2 for some fun as a 2nd phone as ive had very little time with Win7 mobile.
I have access to a cheap HD2 with a flakey USB port, charging can be got around by using an external battery charger, but im worried that limited use of USB flashing could cause some issues.
I know the phone is already running android and using MAGLDR. Im going to want to be able to flash Win7 ROMS and maybe back to Android etc.
Is doing this going to force me to use USB flashing in a potentially hardbrick corupting way (Fastboot, RSD etc) or is pretty much everything done via SD and bootloader/recovery now thats its been hacked?
Any quick info on this would be great.
Thanks,
Daniel
You need USB to flash wp7 and to change partition sizes for nand android.
you still need usb access for flashing roms

Help me please to fix my phone

My phone got a little liquid on it and after that it frozen so I did a soft reset and now my phone is freezing on android boot screen every time. The problem is what my MAGLDR is not working properly now too and my ClockworkMod Recovery is not working at all, so I don't know how to reinstall soft now. The MAGLDR is kind of flashing always and its hard to control as sometime its not reacting to my button push. And then I try to go into ClockworkMod Recovery its just starts loading, does that 1234 go and it freezes on it, every time. But besides all this stuff my phone looks like working fine, just looks like it just has some software damage. I think it should work with a new soft if not at least I can send it to my insurance as I will change a soft back to normal, because now my insurance will not fix my phone as it freezes on android boot screen so whey will see that I have android and not windows. Waiting for any good advice. Thank you
Btw. My original boot loader is not working too, I can't get in to it. I think its because of the android.
i suggest flash the stock rom first , then do all the work again flash MAGLDR and then recovery and then the android rom you want to use and read the instruction for your device if you using hd2 EU or hd2 T-Mobile ... good luck

'USB mass storage is working fine'
You may be able to flash a stock ROM from the SD card but I think it involves the bootloader. Have a look at This thread and see if it helps (I CBA to read it properly, sorry )
Thanks, but yes it involves the bootloader
Does Bootloader normally work if MAGLDR & ClockworkMod Recovery is installed on device?
yea man its working fine in my phone .... okay how about if you get your phone and connect it to another pc ... maybe the wrong with your pc ... and run the usb flasher and flash the stock rom bro

Yeah that's a good point. If you can, trying PCs with different versions of Windows could help (i.e. XP, Vista, Windows 7 etc.)
Ok so I managed to connect my phone via USB Flasher on my work computer and I installed "[30.DEC.10][DFT]LEO "Stock Desire" NAND Android ROM" without any problems but my phone still stucks on DFT Boot screen. I also tried to reinstall MAGLDR and ClockworkMod Recovery to get Clockwork Recovery work but it didn't work, it didn't change anything. Does any one have any ideas what can I do next? Is it possible to install wm 6.5 via USB Flasher? As I know it needs bootloader Does any one have more ideas how to fix it?
yea bro install the stock rom as wm6.5 using the usb flasher ... get it back to the stock then re-install any rom you want

I can't! Because wm 6.5 requires connection between bootloader or active sinc, there is not other way when instaling wm 6.5, and none of them work now on my device
take a look here, we have the same issue too... http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=899628&page=7
