I just wanna know if anyone else having this problem? Any have any ideas?
Radio: 2.15.50.14

i had the same problem, today, i thinki might have found a fix after numerous times of trying ot send apicture ot one of my friends.
make a text and attach a picture, send it to your number, you will recieve it.
now send the picture to your friend and everything should be working fine.
i tired to send a picture ot my friend about 10 times, i rebooted te phone, and nothing, then i sent it to my self, and i got it, then ii sent it to my friend and it worked.

Incoming MMS not working , how to fix ?

Been having this problem since day one with Cyanogen.
Invariably the incoming picture mail ceases to function.
Ive gotten it to work when its acted up by resetting fixing permissions , unchecking then re checking "auto retrieve mms" , and selecting "TMOBILE" under provider listing to re register with network.
Since most of the time I have to ask people to pic mail me its extremely difficult to troubleshoot regularly.
"mms" is too short a term for seach it seems so apologize if this is an old issue.
1. Is there a specific fix to get MMS working as it should ?
2. Is there a way I can test if it works by emailing my phone ([email protected]) with a pic attached ? That never works.
3. If this is ROM specific ,are there any ROMS that dont have any sms/mms issues ?
G1
cyanogen 4.02
default messaging , handcent ,chomp have all given me the same problem...only using handcent currently.
Try sending yourself two mms messages
Tried 3 different.... only 1 came through. grrr
Noone has any ideas ?
Would upgrading my radio do any good ?
I noticed that both you guys are running old roms ...have you considered updating to 1.6 rom ,, I had issues sending mms with handcent when upgraded and I emailed them and they issued an update for 1.6 donut support. works great now

I will be trying this now that theres a one file Cyanogen. I was pessimistic about Hero roms because so many were limited or laggy.

For all I know there could be a wealth of info..but mms wont come up with anything in search.
Worst case scenario you can receive my MMS and Ill send out any you need.
for me if i am on wifi, i can never get mms sent or received. but onc ei turn off wifi and get on 3g it sends and receives fine. i missed a lot of mms because at home i always have my phone on wifi. i only know i miss them because right after an mms is sent, sometimes people sms me and say "did you get that?" and then i am aware they sent an mms.
Installed Cyn 4.1.999999999999999
STILL same issue. Ugh.
I have the same issue and I just switched to that ROM. My problem is real intermittent and in fact mine will somes times not receive regular texts, or the recipaent never gets them, or even sometimes someone will get multiple copies of my text messages all at once and I'll even get a few copies of received text messages on my phone. Just annoying.
Found this though, basically just sending a picture to your own phone.

I live in some crappy 3G coverage, so its always switching between that and edge. Something I've been meaning to try is to force the phone to only use 2G networks and see if that helps.

Yep, same problem. I'd say I'm 99% sure I even had this issue when I was using JF roms. I just came from Cyan 4.0.4 rom and a few of his previous roms before that.
I'm also half temped to unroot it and go back to a factory T-Mobile rom.

As am I.
Its annoying as hell to get "did you get my pic ?" or "what do you think" wondering wth theyre talking about.
Not sure if this will work for you but works for me. Only way I can receive mms from anyone is they have to type something in the subject and something in the message. If they do that I get it everytime. Might want to give it a try.

Will try..
TMo had me pull out battery then re try...it worked....till I got home.
Rep said it may be caused by a bad tower in my area pulling out battery connects me to another tower.
Sounded like BS but seeing that it worked when we tried but failed later on ..perhaps.
Id feel better if I knew this was a problem with or without Root. Im fighting my urge to just go back to stock...hate to lose apps2sd though.

MMS doesn't exist if you were to ask my phone, for some reason. Help?

I am pretty new at this (yea, sorry), and I recently flashed my first rom, and I chose the JustStableVersion2Micro, which I think is brilliant (kudos).
But now MMS just...doesn't exist. I can't insert pictures or anything into messages, because it's grayed out. I can't find the words "MMS" anywhere really on my phone...the only way I can even get a picture to be involved in anything that can be considered a message is through an e-mail account, because I also use wi-fi. And it doesn't fix anything to turn it off.
I am just stumped. And hoping someone else here isn't.....
Thank you
UPDATE: I just fiddled around some more and tried some other ROMS with the same problem still...I'm trying to get back to the original T-mobile Wing rom that they have hosted on their support site to see if the problem still exists...but I can't because there is only an RUU, and for some reason whenever I try to RUU an OS it restarts immediately after it gets to 1%.
I also tried taking out my sim card and putting it in an old flip phone for kicks. MMS was functional.
This is frustrating, and really putting a cramp in my happiness about my phone. *sighs*

Wont work...
Sounds to me like you have a data issue of some kind. The stock SMS app is not very good. I have never heard of this issue though.
Call sprint and tell them that you cannot recieve MMS and they can reset stuff on their side. I have had to do that because I wasn't getting SMS, they put me on hold for a few minutes reset it, then theyll send you a test message that should work.

My friend has/had this same problem. I sent him some pictures once and same thing happened; no one has sent him a MMS since, so I don't know if it's still an issue.
Anyway if I were you I would contact Sprint Customer care.

x2
most likely your account needs to be re-provisioned
Im having the same problem and Sprint seems to know nothing about it. I have spoken to customer service numerous times about this and even brought it in to the store. The only thing they suggest is a factory reset. I have tried that yet as I dont think that will fix the problem.
ya they tell me on the phone "lets do a hard restart, that fixes everything".. but i havnt done it because i dont want to mess up my root and rom, and i dont even know what will happen.
ok so they tried doing the reprovision today (i actually got some one who new what they were talking about) and it didnt work.
the only step left is a hard restart. will this affect fresh 1.1 or root in any way?

[Q] unfortunately, the process com.sec.ims.android has stopped

Hey guys, my wife has a stock Note 3 and every so often this prompt will pop up "unfortunately, the process com.sec.ims.android has stopped" If I hit ok, it will go away for about half a second and then pop up again. I can restart the phone sometimes or have to pull the battery and it won't happen again for about a week, but this is a problem that I need to resolve and I know someone in here has the know-how. I've looked all over the place on the internet, and on this forum but no one else has experienced the same thing, I'm puzzled. Please help, thank you.

Go into settings>General>app manager>All> find contacts and open it then clear cache. If that doesnt help. Clear cache and data. Fixed it for me.

Same thing started happening to me on Friday 11/21/2014 morning.
I've tried:
Clearing cache and data in contacts.
Restarting the phone.
Reset the phone to factory default.
Wipe cache.
In some situations it will work for a call or two and then the same error message again.
Thank You

Has anyone been able to identity and or fix the issue? I'm also having the same problem phone works fine as far as everything I just cannot make or receive phone calls sometimes I never know when. I have it unlocked to use it with MetroPCS and it was working fine it just started one day. I have tried a brand new Sim card, factory reset, even disconnecting it and reactivate the phone...no luck. On WiFi calling it works perfectly so makes me think it's not the phone but make me wonder if it was the network why only us out of the millions of people...if anyone has any updated regarding this issue please get back with us. I tried the same thing and it works as long as i dont restart the phoen. Then it starts all over again. Very frustrating. Does anyone know if what this process does or if you can disable or uninstall this? Maybe thathat would work, as long as it is not something you really need ofcourse. Thanks.
You can try the same thing using titanium back up. that helps sometimes. Just open Titanium backup. locate ur contacts and phone apk. click them and then click clear data. i havnt tried this method but its worth a try. maybe the next time i experience it i will try this as well.

not receiving any SMS

Hello everyone. I've owned my 6p since it was first released and have used T-Mobile this whole time. Recently I noticed that no one was texting me so I decided to test it out and text myself and I was right . I wasn't receiving any messages. At the time I thought it might have been something to do with me running a custom ROM so I unrooted and went back to stock and still the same thing was happening. I can send messages but nothing comes back to me. I talked to T-Mobile for a few hours. Literally troubleshooting everything on their end and everything was fine. Full service and all. Now I've been looking all over online and have yet to find anything. The frustration is really getting to me. Has anyone else experienced anything like this before? Are there any setting in my 6p that I might need to check out? Please help me guys.
Again. I have full service bars with activated service. I can make calls browse the web and send messages. I'm just not receiving anything. Also I am using stock google messenge
Of the top of my mind, clear google msn cache and data, from configuration> apps> google messenger... also check in hangouts if u have it if the google messenger is the default app for sms..
Once a long time ago, the rom tool box was the default app for sms and instalation of apps, dunno why this happend.. hope it helps, also u can use a third party app for sms and check, or even the hangouts.
good luck.

I contacted T-Mobile and they went through all that with me and my apn was all correct. It's the same apn I've been using the whole time. Also to the guy who said clear cache I fully factory reset the whole phone and re installed every app. I would assume that would clear the cache? It's so frustrating cause everything seems to be working. It's like my phone wants to be stubborn and not receive messages lol
Can you try your SIM card with another phone?
Ok I fixed it. Very weird. I switched to 2g and all texts came through then went back to LTE and continued working
Hey I have the same issue with my OnePlus 3. Stopped receiving sms 3 days ago. I can send sms just fine.
Like note3userr I had rooted my phone, so un-rooted it and did a factory reset, but the issue still persists.
I'm also on Tmobile, my selected APN is T-Mobile US (epc.tmobile.com)
Switched to 2G and back to 4G, as noteuserr suggested. The trick worked for me!
Weird as **** though...
