Anyone experiencing audio sync problems when playing back video. I just purchased my tab and it's driving me crazy. Please let me know if anything has been resolved.

Only syncing issue I've had was due to storing videos on external sd card that was only class 2, fine since storing internally or using a class 4 card.
Never had any problems with any of my videos. And I've tried a lot of different codecs and formats. hope it works out for you, as it's a great videoplayer for on the go use.

Anyone having music issues with EF02? When doubletwist, and even the stock music player switch from the first song to the 2nd, they completely freeze. I've tried reinstalling, but that didn't work, nor does wiping data.

No but I'm having problems with my google music beta not playing my music all a sudden!
Sent from my SPH-D700 using XDA Premium App
Ok, so it seems to be a music issue all around. Time to go back to Froyo, since this is a deal breaker for me. Can't imagine working out without tunes!!

audio seems to lag with EF02. Watching Tube videos and music from games is pretty off.
Back on EC05, and everything is working wonderfully. Like I said, I'll just wait for a custom version of EFxx
I use doubletwist. All good here.

Maybe it was the fact I restored from data from SFR. I could try again, but instead use Titanium/My Backup Root. I even tried fixing permissions, and that didn't work. Oh well, the smoothness and speed of SFR can't be beat.

PowerAMP works fine for me.
That sounds like you SD card. Try partitioning it.

It'll take some time, kernel needs some love still.
He's got it. Something with the video decoding....
Now if you go get mv player from the market you can play videos from your SD card pretty smoothly. An app like droidtv will let you watch TV from your SD card. Hope this helps!

Videos played by my nexus have an odd choppy feel. Every five seconds or so, the player pauses for a very noticeable moment, then continues. Is anyone else experiencing this?

No problems regarding smoothness.
The only problem I have is that nothing seems to have audio (using mxPlayer)

Now I seem to have problems with games. Is this a hardware issue or OS related?

No. My nexus runs very well. Are you on 4.1.1

Yes.
Is it a background app causing it? I read about a few phones having this issue in the past.

I'm on 4.1.1, not rooted and I've noticed the same problem. When playing a video or certain games every 5 seconds or so there is a slight pause. I've tried different video players and still the same issue.

Having the same issues but it seems to happen more with games especially tegra 3 games like a riptide. the funny thing is is I swear I remember playing riptide and It had no lag. I can't remember whether it was prior to the 4.11 update.
Same here! I tried watching the Transformer movie we got for free and it kept freezing up! This is irritating, I'm going to try a factory reset. I'm exchanging this thing any way cause the headphone jack is defective.
From my long awaited and totally worth it EVO LTE!
Same issue here after upgrading to 4.1.1. Anyone here having this issue on a custom ROM? If not then I'm flashing a ROM ASAP.

Try other video players (MX Player, BSPlayer)
Was this apparent before 4.1.1? I just got my 7 yesterday and updated right away and do notice the stutter w/ my high profile 720p vids. On my Prime stuttering was fixed with over clocking and running an interactive governer.
Edit: this is for 720p high profile movies stored on the device, happening w/ dice player and MX player. Don't use stock since it doesn't support ac3 audio.
stock n7 with latest ota updates, unlocked and rooted. No problem playing any game and video, either stream from play store (transformer movie) or stream my my home network.

It doesn't matter if it's on the device or not, it happens when I stream the transformer movie and/or any YouTube video. I'm about to return this back to Google if I don't find a solution soon. Going to try a data factory reset and see if that helps.

Yeah looks like its happening for me on YouTube as well.
I just put a video on my device from my PC and it played fine. But if I stream anything it plays like crap

Did some more testing. Tried the stock player and no stutter but no sound due to no ac3 support. I have another 7 coming in on Monday and will test that one leaving it as is (before 4.1.1 update)
I just got off the phone with Google and they said it's probably a issue with my router streaming media on the device. I'm going to test another WiFi connection sometime soon and see if the issue persist or not.

I'm having problems with this, I can't watch a single video on this device without the lag. I've tried the youtube app, Netflix, dice player and a few other video apps and everyone of those lag.

Hi All. Im getting the above message and no sound when playing videos (.avi and .mkv) through the stock app. These same vids played fine on stock note 2 video app.
It works with 3rd party app.
Anyone else had this?

Surely somebody else has thos issue.

That would be because they removed the DTS codecs. License issue.
Diceplayer and VLC work.

Thanks for the reply. Guess no chance of getting round this in future? Ive been using VLC which does the job. But would like to make use of the stock functionality.

longshot but if it indeed a license issue is it possible to buy a license from digital theater systems?
Bumping this on the off chance any progress has been made on this

I'm not sure about DTS mentioned above, but I encountered this issue with AC3. Personally I just recode audio and only audio, doesn't take long on fast computer, since for some strange reason I couldn't make VLC work on my Note3, which would be another option. I doubt Samsung will add codec support in the future updates.

MX player works - you can download the custom audio codec throught the player and install(needs to be unzipped) and then audio needs to be software decoded...
