Anyone having music issues with EF02? When doubletwist, and even the stock music player switch from the first song to the 2nd, they completely freeze. I've tried reinstalling, but that didn't work, nor does wiping data.

No but I'm having problems with my google music beta not playing my music all a sudden!

Ok, so it seems to be a music issue all around. Time to go back to Froyo, since this is a deal breaker for me. Can't imagine working out without tunes!!

audio seems to lag with EF02. Watching Tube videos and music from games is pretty off.
Back on EC05, and everything is working wonderfully. Like I said, I'll just wait for a custom version of EFxx
I use doubletwist. All good here.

Maybe it was the fact I restored from data from SFR. I could try again, but instead use Titanium/My Backup Root. I even tried fixing permissions, and that didn't work. Oh well, the smoothness and speed of SFR can't be beat.

PowerAMP works fine for me.
That sounds like you SD card. Try partitioning it.

So for my test of flash video on froyo, I went to megavideo and loaded up an episode of community.
The video played just fine but I could not use the play controls (pause, play, etc). It seemed like it would just click the entire flash video screen instead of the individual action buttons.
Any one have a solution as to what I'm doing wrong or if this function works?
I'm using the dolphin hd browser.

For those of you that don't know, to enable Flash in the Browser, you need to go into settings, and turn on "enable plug-ins".
My experience was much less good. I went to http://www.engadget.com/2011/02/02/android-honeycomb-motorola-xoom-hands-ons-widgets-grocery-iq/ and tried to play those videos in the browser - it was choppy as hell.
I've got the plug ins enabled. Video works fine. Just can't pause or fast forward....or any action buttons....

Ah it works...just have a very tiny window of where to press the pause button...very touchy....

Ok I searched and didn't find any answers (maybe there isn't one) anyhow, when viewing web pages with flash the video plays fine but the audio skips and is impossible to understand. Is there a fix for this?
Conditions:
3g or wifi makes no difference
No other apps running except adw launcher.
Tasks killed
Rooted and running Bonsai 1.4.1
Dolphin browser or stock makes no difference
Youtube works fine.
Seems to be just flash videos on web pages.

I have this issue if using Bluetooth headphones. YouTube app works great with BT, but Flash video is a no go. It took me a while to nail it down.

Hello... i seem to be having trouble with my music. When i start playing it through the stock player and leave my phone alone to play some tunes... the phone will stop the music after about 3 minutes of playing. I have juice defender running and i set up the music player to continue running after the screen locks... does anyone have any idea what the hell is going on? Thanks for taking the time to help.

Most probably your stock musicplayer is in "auto end list" in task manager app, it autostops the apps in the list at about the time you mentioned. Hope this helps and solves your issue...
I looked at auto end list but it wasnt there. Do you know of any other good music player? I usually use subsonic to connect to my media server at home, it has an option to keep the screen on. but when I'm in the car i like to listen to my tunes without streaming...

The big 3 are:
PlayerPro
PowerAmp
Winamp
Also for regular Internet Radio, I enjoy using Cherry RPlayer...

Just got playerpro works great. And it has the screen on option. Thank you very much for the help.

No problem, I ended up choosing PlayerPro myself a while back out of those Top 3.
BTW, Grab the "DSP Pack" and you can really have some fun with the equalizer settings added on...

Sometimes auto-ending a certain other app also causes the music to stop. I don't remember what it was, but it may have been photo gallery, or some other such media.

Hey guys
I've an odd thing happening on my xperia play stock music app. It will suddenly stop mid song, thought maybe it was cause it was in my pocket and I knocked a button somehow. But today was happening while sitting face up on my desk.
Has also happened on my desire s, that had a custom rom so put it down to that. Anyone else experienced this?
Cheers

Damaged file perhaps? Have you tried playing the same song through to completion?
Sent from my R800i using Tapatalk
It happens to random songs, press play and the song continues. Don't think the songs are damaged. Very odd.
Sent from my R800i using Tapatalk
are you running a task killer?
Yes, but it's not automatic. Will remove it and see if it helps.
Sent from my R800i using Tapatalk
Nope its still happening, played the same song again and played fine. Very annoying indeed.

Try a diffrent media player, I use PowerAMP and have no problems like this, even when the screen is off
I run rooted stock music player, never had any issues whatsoever.

Wow, really? I had the same issue on my X10 too with the music player just stopping. Even in the foreground it would happen and I'd just unlock my phone and press play. But I've also had 'Listen' on both phones since day one.
I'll try the PowerAMP route first I guess. If that doesn't work I guess I can go the TB route and backup/uninstall unless there's another app for podcasts that anyone would care to recommend.
I had this happen once after restoring everything from a TB backup. I just uninstalled the music player and reinstalled one from market, i used the winamp one.
Use different player

i didnt like the stock music player, seems like it should of been more convenient , winamp is better and they support changing songs on the lock screen.
Just had this issue start a few days ago. Anytime the music player goes to the ticker view it also gets put in the notification screen, right? And when you completely exit the music player, it should go out in the notification screen. Well, not so much for me. Lol... The music player will stay in the notification until a reboot, even if I go to running services and force stop the music player service. In logcat it is constantly updating the ticker music view, even if the player is not running. Anyone else have this?

I haven't noticed thus when I used the stock player but since then I bought the amp called power amp which is a huge improvement in terms of everything including sound quality so downloading another music player is an option if it bothers you

Not a big bother, other than its something constantly running in the background... But as often as I reboot shouldn't be a big deal. Besides, I'd miss the ticker music view. Just wondered if anyone else had it happen.

Yeah i dont have the ticker with power amp but I set it to be accessible from the lockscreen so I just hit the power button and can control my music, worst comes to worst if the problem bothers you that much its worth a try.
Also I checked to see if my stock music player did that and mine does not. So it could be the possibility that a mod is causing it and it's not the gingerbread rom. Also I have beats audio flashed so that could be another reason mine doesn't do it (most likely not). I would say it's most likely a mod
