Which version of MAGLDR did you install?
MAGLDR, when properly installed, will load right after the "stuck together" screen. Holding down the power button just causes MAGLDR to skip a ROM load and wait for you to select an option from the menu.

I think I see the problem. I thought the magldr was part of the tmo os, did not realize I had to installl it.
I have the 1.12 just need to figure out how to install it.
p.s.
have you installed the wp7?
if so, can you get back to wimo6.5?

No, sorry I don't have W7 installed.
No matter what ROM you install, you can always go back to WinMo, assuming you don't break your phone
If you want to go back to stock, check my signature for a link on how to install ROMs from your SD card. Flashing a stock ROM this way will over write any changes you made, including HSPL.

Before I start I googled and tried methods I could and all failed.
My phone was working Link Hereperfect with no issues I had installed the DFT LEO Stock Desire NAND Rom.
A week ago it died and I charged it and powered it back up and got the white screen. It wouldnt go away until I pushed the yellow button on the back. Problem solve I would think.
Two days ago on my way to San Francisco it restarted and turned white. I tried all methods I found here and google none work. when I hold the down vol button I do get the 3 color screen and thats it. I attached an picture of what my phone says.

bump for what? You are just stating what happened to your phone.
My boys hd2 did this too... I plan on doing some extensive trouble shooting later this week so ill try to help you out if I can get it fixed. I guess, bottom line is, if you want android, buy an android device. ;-P

Do you realize that you didn't ask anything?
Do you post these nice explanations to inform us that stopping a device by removing suddenly its power supply is not good?
Then ok, thanks. Ask for a sticky.
@crx4xharder
If you're boy's phone can only boot in the first level loader... I think a week-end if long enough to make extensive trouble shooting
Ok, I agree I'm not nice... it's just to make you realize that if you want to ask someting... then ask, no need to make us imagine the question you may want someone to answer.
My question is how do I get this fixed? How do I get android back up and running. I want to get rid of this white screen.

What was the version of MAGLDR you had anyway? The ROM you are/were running is outdated by today's standards anyway.
I would do a task29 and start over. Then flash MAGLDR 1.3, CWM 1.3 and then a new ROM.

If you get bootloader simply flash a stock WM rom or MAGLDR, whats hard about that?
i tried flashing with task29 but it sticks at 0%
Do not use task29 for your problem. Fortunatly it doesn't "clear" the first level bootloader.
Press the vol-down key.
In boot loader, flash:
a/ a WM6 ROM (to do this you can just put a LEOIMG.nhh on the root of your SD)
b/ MAGLDR (the version you need for the build you want)
If you want to put a DFT build. In MAGLDR (so press "end call" and start the phone... keep end call pressed) choose the option "USB flasher" (something like this.
With DFT (in admin) flash:
a/ a DFT build
b/ CWM
If CWM, boot in MAGLDR, choose "AD Recovery" (for CWM 1.13)
In CWM choose the option to flash a zip build.
That's all... good question, good answer.
All what I said if well expained in diffferent sticky. You will find there a lot of step-by-step or video explanations.
Hope this helps.
He doesn't need to clear the first-level bootloader. You can see from his screenshots that he gets into the bootloader just fine. Task29 will format the NAND storage just as flashing a WinMo ROM does. The RUU does a task29 as part of the flashing process anyway. Doing just a task29 saves the time of flashing the ROM.
Either way, you don't "flash" task29. You run the command via mtty. I'm not sure I understand exactly what you're saying when you "flash" task29 and it stayed at 0%.
What was the meaning of my "Fortunatly"
Clear the first level... brick the phone.
So for you task29 is equivalent to flashing a WM?
With or without radio?
(real question, I really don't know exactly what it's doing...)
I know that it "cleans" the NAND but it's not enough for me.
Anyway, I realize it will be better for me to read the dedicated thread or search on google.
For him I keep my advice to do all (task29, full flash from the beggining including WM). It's useless normally but as he has a problem...

For HD2 "mtty" is not required, there is a task29 nbh.

I tried updating the stock rom and it has a issue when it comes to the radio it says Radio Fail. This is the right rom I downloaded it off the tmobile website. I dont know why its failing. If you could help truc007 I am willing to help donate to you if I ge it working.
I couldnt flash the task29 so I ran the commands in mtty and flashed a rom and booted, still wsod...
Just flash back to the original ROM, then update radio, install magldr.

[Q] Can't flash stock rom after flashing MAGLDR

Ok guys please help me since I couldn't find the answer
I installed on my hd2:
-HSPL 2.08
-Radio 2.15.50.14
-Magldr 1.13
-CMR
First of all I noticed that I dont have to hold the power button to get into the magldr menu.
I couldn't get into Boot As SD so I wanted to flash winmo stock rom from bootloader. Unfortunately I can't do that. Even tried HR. Is there any solution to flash stock ROM
Any help would be greatly appreciated

Don't use MAGLDR to flash your ROM. Hold the Volume Down rocker when you turn you phone on to access the bootloader (tri-color screen) and then plug your phone into your computer via USB. You should then be able to flash your stock ROM with no trouble.
Alternative: To go full stock, including going back to the stock SPL, check my signature for a link on flashing via the SD card.
Thank you for you reply After several attempts I managed to get my winmo back on via SD because RUU couldn't see my phone
Two questions: So do I still have MAGLDR and CMR after flashin' that stock rom ?
I can see in the bootloader that I'm back on SPL 3.03. Does that mean that I'm back on warranty and HSPL2 is uninstalled?
Thanks!

Yeah you lose everything. Yeah, if you needed to send it away now, you could as it has stock everything. May I ask, why did you install MAGLDR then not even use it properly? What were you trying to do? Dual boot WP7 & Android?
thanks!
Don't you worry I was doing everything by the book
Maybe you know why MAGLDR was turnin on even when I didn't hold the power button ?

When MAGLDR can't find anything to boot up (no properly installed ROM) it defaults to the same menu you see when holding the power button down.
It's strange cause the ROM was flashed properly, at least I think so. It was working properly...
MAGLDR was probably turning your phone in because it was connected to a power source. This had to be done because there was a bug in the old Magldr where you had to keep pulling out the battery. It doesn't go to the bootloader (HSPL) though. It'll boot up and say kernel failed.
What are you trying to do now, reinstall magldr?
Tried couple times and I didn't manage to install Android using MAGLDR 1.13 and CMR.
Now I'm back to WinMo and done for now with flashing Android. Don't want to have an expensive paper holder.
You probably had the wrong partition size in CWM.
I don't think there is really a way of bricking your phone doing this other than flashing an imcompatible radio. I've never had any trouble with flashing with CWM or MAGLDR. You say in your first post, you were trying to boot SD AD? You know that's not for .zips from CWM? That's for people who want to dual-boot WP7 and Android, you have to boot AD NAND for CWM.
CWM was already prepared by the developer
Oh...I was following the video tutorial and the guy gets into the recovery mod by getting into the SD AD
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-pxucOLY488
Actually I stuck at that point
That's the old way! There's a new way where you just flash a DFT and you go to AD Recovery in magldr an poof! CWM.
Here's the thread just incase you feel like doing it. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=898913
Don't forget to update your HSPL and radio before doing anything though as you're back on sh*tty WinMo.
I will check on it since you're encouraging me not to give up
Ha ha! Yeah, well I like helping people and Android is just a way better OS then WinMo. Any troubles, just post here and I'll try to help.
Thanks mate, really appreciate your help
No problem. So did you get it working yet or what?
PS. don't forget that thanks button if I've helped. ;D
Not today mate, maybe tommorow will let you know
[EDIT] Wait...today is "tommorow" so "maybe later" I'd say
did it already post #12
Nice... You might aswell do it now then... so you can spend tomorrow looking for apps and getting used to Android.
If I wouldn't have to write my MA dissertation, I would have my HD2 running Android by now
Have you tried it yet?
I'm currently having problems with my HD2 too.
Let's hope this stock ROM works.

[Q] Can not enter MGLDR menu after installation

Hi
I have followed a description how I could install android on my phone
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=893948
All workss fine until I have to enter the MGLDR menu with a long push on the power button... I dont enter any menu!! I have tried a lot of times without luck.
I have the latest Radio version 2.15.50.14
and the HSPL version 3.03 HSPL
What have I done wrong since I cant enter the menu?
If I remember right, you need to have hspl 2.08 on your phone for MGLDR to work. Try finding MGLDR thread and see if I'm right. Or just change your hspl to 2.08 and see if you can get the menu, remember, hold the power button til the menu shows then let go. It won't show just by holding the button for longer then normal power on push.
Sent from my HTC HD2 using XDA App
yea, gotta be 2.08.hspl no other will do. Its is step 2 of the instructions you linked to, i can see how your mind may have wandered so far into the process, ,
hehe
Thanks a lot to both of you now it works.... and yes I may have to fast since I didnt see the correct version.

hi guys, having a similar problem with my phone atm. I have 2.08 hspl and the right radio, i just cant enter magldr menu at all? holding down the power does nothing, it just boots the phone with no menu at all.

to the o2 blue initial screen, thats it :s
right, and at the end of that screen should flash up magldr, which indicates it either didnt take, or there is a mismatch with spl/radio.
id start over, into bootloader, check and double check it says 2.08.hspl and nothing else, flash a known good radio again, then flash magldr again.
If it hasnt taken again, or you get any kind of error when flashign teh radio, its just possible theres a stuck radio issue, which prevents anything else from flashing. there are threads where flashing looks to work but nothing actually changes.
to test for that, try changing the spl with hspl4, doesnt matter what you change it to, just change it, reboot, into bootloader, make sure it changed.
Failing that, its stock winmo from sd card time, and start truly over.
could you possibly link me to the right stock rom? im on 02 hd2 in england, ill flash it via sd card with the nbh file. im having so much trouble getting hold of it, im litteraly tearing my hair out, becuase i think ill have to start over after all, last resort. thanks so much if you can

if you're sure you have the right radio and HSPL 2.08, and you're having issues, just perform a task 29, it will format the internal rom partition of the device, then reflash MGLDR 1.13 it will respond then, flash CWM, and desired rom.
Task 29 will help you prevent having to go back to stock.

[Q] Error while booting to CLK recovery

Hello
I just flashed CLK on my hd2 using the toolkit, I also flashed the toolkit recovery (which i believe was v 4.3)
Now when I try to boot to recovery using Home + red buttons I get this error in the middle of the command lines
"ERROR: CANNOT READ RECOVERY_HEADER"
I tried to wipe all and reflash everything again but I keep getting the same error.
I looked everywhere but can't find any answer.
Is there any other way I can install a new ROM without accessing the CWM? like using the command prompt.
I also attached a screenshot of the error.
Any help would be very much appreciate it. and Please if there is a solution please show the steps for it cuz I am still new with CLK.
The latest stable version of clk is v1.5 which also installs a version of cwm , there is even one that installs twrp recovery too!
No links on my phone but will be easy to find...
BTW did you select clk install recovery option after clk reparation?

What version of hspl do you have installed?
If it's hspl 2.08 or hspl 3.03 try this,
first do a task29 using the toolkit
Then place the LEOIMG.nbh file on the root of your sdcard.
Now power on the device while holding the volume down button.
When asked to proceed with install push the power button..
This should install clk 1.5 with a default partition size which you can change from within clk later!
Let me know if it works.

I did task29 then downloaded the rom file from t-mobile webisite then put phone on multicolored with usb debugging and ran the file on my computer.
I actually had this phone for almost 3 years now and I flashed about 4 different versions of android but i was using mgldr.
the phone was doing great with me but about 4 days I wanted to go to recovery to back up the phone I got "1E FATAL HIT 1"
I read that some one had the same issue and they switched to clk and it worked fine, and someone flashed stock rom then custom and it worked.
but nothing is working with me, I have 2.08 hspl and I've been using that for a long time, I tried 3 sdcards using both ways of flashing (toolkit and putting LEOIMG file in the sdcard) but it failed in all of them.
PS: thank you for the thank though I have been here since I got the phone and never got one thanks haha.

Now I do, I think!
I have asked you what it says on the multicolored screen a few times.
Pic please?
Flashing stock rom should do the trick as regards verifying that it's not a hardware problem, but it will have wiped your hspl!
So to install clk v1.5, you will have to re-flash hspl 2.08 (no zeros after the 8) or hspl 3.03!

OK, I would not give up yet.
Re-install hspl and this time select "3.03", then task 29 and try to reinstall clk 1.5...
Edit: If the last thing you did was install stock it won't work with hspl installed,
It should say something like..SPL-2.08.0000, use the hspl 3.03 package to downgrade to this spl version and then install stock from pc as normal (MAKE SURE you are using the correct stock rom for your phone) or as I said, try the above...

I am getting really frustrated now!
for clk:
I upgraded the hspl to 3.03, then installed clk 1.5. UNFORTUNATELY I am still getting the same message when I boot into recovery.
for stock rom: (I got it from t-mobile website which is the right one for my phone)
after failing to install clk, I FIRST downgraded the hspl to SPL 3.03.0000 and tried to flash the stock rom but the percentage bar doesn't even move. So I decided to try it with 2.08.0000 but the same thing happens. This doesn't happen when I have 3.03.HSPL or 2.08.HSPL, it actually loads when I have the hspl but then when it is done, I get stuck in "stick together" screen.

It is not working! I took off the battery and back on and kept holding the restore button like 10 times.
Ugh I got a headache working on this for a week.
Thank you for your help man! and I hope someone can find out what the heck is wrong with my phone.

[q] htc hd2 - htc logo stuck

HI,
I tried to install Android on this phone. I fallowed step-by-step tutorial, installed HSPL 2.08, installed Radio_Leo_2.15.50.14 ROM,installed MAGLDR 1.13 and after that I should get MAGLDR menu, but phone restarted and only shows white screen with green HTC logo. I tried to turn off phone and hold power button to enter MAGLDR, but nothing. A tried with Wipe and then repeat all steps above but still the same. Before on the phone was Windows mobile, but also not working. Can someone guide me how to fix this?
Thanks
You have to wipe the phone with Task29 from bootloader and at 99% of the process hold volume down, boot in bootloader again (4 colors) and then install MAGLDR v1.13. After that the only way to boot in MAGLDR is holding power button when you see Go,Go,Go and should boot into it. Repeat the steps, there is no other way and if not working you do something wrong. Remember to have full battery. Try mine, maybe you are lucky.

I tried, everything done with "succesfully". After installation of MAGLDR it's not showing GO, GO, GO and not showing RADIO and other stuff written with red color in lower left color, just white screen with green HTC.
Can I use something else then MAGLDR?

No, something wrong there and I telling you, this is the only way. Flash again HSPL4 and Radio, different one like 2.12.50.02_2 even if have nothing to do with the problem. Do you use ToolKit? Don't use that, flash separately all the steps. Take off SD and Sim card from the phone. If you stuck in logo because you do something wrong or the phone it's faulty but I never saw that before.

Is there any problem that in three colors screen on top is written "Security unlocked"? I don't use ToolKit, although I have it. I am doing all separately.

Security Unlocked? Never heard about that and no way this happen on HD2. When you are on bootloader on top should be written the type of the Chip, Cotulla HSPL 2.08 only. Anything else is just weird. It's your HD2 branded?

There is no difference then. On bootloader did you installed and is written CotullaHSPL? How do you installed MAGLDR? In MAGLDR you execute ROMUpdateUtiliy.exe? If you did then you should boot into it. To me the problem is you don't know ow to boot into it. Try keep pushing call button instead of power button but for me MAGLDR is not installed on your phone. I remember well when I installed MAGLDR I don't have to even push power button because it boot automatically. Did you performed Task29? Between this options you making some mistake.
BTW, I worry if your phone is not locked permanently. This kind of job doing the carriers of your phone but on HD2 to me is impossible.

I uploaded image of my screen in above post. It's written CotullaHSPL. I started ROMUpdateUtiliy.exe, and I turned of antivirus and firewall. Every time is "successfully". I done this already on my old HTC HD2, it should boot automaticaly or should show GO, GO, GO screen. It tried with holding power, holding call button, but nothing

I tried, nothing
Do have other version of radio that you can upload or links for them? Seems that MAGLDR isn't going to start because of version of radio. I have Radio_2_12_50_02_2 and Radio_Leo_2.15.50.14
