My advice do not be too often in overclocked because it will only shorten the life of the CPU and the devices become increasingly slow
to improve the performance of the device, you'd better do some registry tweaks like this Navigate to: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ System \ StorageManager \ FATFS
Change - CacheSize to 4096

Thanks to everyone on this site!

Hello! Me and a friend of mine just purchased the tmobile wings....i upgraded from the dash and him from the horrible SDA....well so far this is what we have done.
HTC Homescreen plugin + homescreen edit
Slide to UL (AC)
Iphone Window Theme
HTC Audiomanager
P Browser
TCPMP + Flash Video Software that allows utube among other sites -=)
Changed sliding keyboard sounds
Vtap (also allows utube, but tcpmp is the shat)
PSShtuXP
Icontacts
Pocket CM ( I don't have this anymore)
Overclocked to 247MHZ (not really sure what overclocking is, but hey most of you on here have done it, so why not)
We have both kept WM6 because it seems like Touch Flo still has editing, and i am attached to the microsoft voice sync program.
So all in all just making myself known on the forum, thanks again for turning my wing not only into a greater phone but now I want to call this isht a Tmobile Jet Wing.
I still don't understand some terms, don't know what flashing is, and wanted to know what other programs we could add to make our device function even better.
Is there a way to upgrade device storage? It seems to be my only concern. Thanks again.

Awesome. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask ... but please be sure to look through the forums first in order to answer most of your questions.
Flashing is installing a new operating system on your phone ... so think of it like taking Windows XP off of your computer, and installing Windows VISTA on your computer.
You should run the Quick Page Pool changer to get more device storage
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=324955
Cool, i try to read as much info as possible before posting...so yeah ive read the newb's guide and all the links within...thanks i will try to pagepool again...lastime didn't work...but ill try hopefully this is a better file.
directions are sort of...or reall fuzzy for installation..so i am really confused...any other helpful links on this?
all you have to do ....
-connect your phone via activesync
-copy the EnableRapi.cab file over to your phone
-thru your phone's file explorer, find the EnableRap.cab file, and run it.
-SOFT RESET
-connect your phone to activesync again, and run the batch file for the pagepool size you want to have (4, 6, 8, etc...)
-Reset again
and voila, you should have the new pagepool settings now.
think i did it lol.....how much space should i have?
Stock memory settings were the following on my Wing

11.6 MB free RAM after page pool fix??? that's way too low buddy. which page pool setting are u using? 4,6,or 8? but then again, is that on idle, or did you were running some other application on the background?
I remembered when i first found out about the pagepool fix, I was able to get 21 MB free ram on start up and running around 18-19 on idle. (i was running the 6 MB pool setup)
Now, i flashed my wing with Touch IT ROM v2.3 and i get 25 MB free RAM at start up and 20-22 on idle.
as I wrote on there .. those the STOCK memory settings ... meaning from a factory wing.
So obviously, you look at the stock settings, and compare them to the settings you see after running the pagepool app.

MicroSD RAM Hack! WICKED!!

Hey guys,

Software you will need:
Phm RegEdit
QUOTE: "Speed up your Metro HTC Mogul with a Micro SD Card I would like to share this hack with my friends that have a smartphone on metro pcs.
I found this hack on a different site, tried it and works great on my mogul (flashed). One way I tested to see if it worked or not was by using Opera mobile. Everytime I surfed the internet on my phone, Opera would pop up saying i was out of memory (I have so many apps installed on my pda) and to close the tabs. It got so annoying that I uninstalled it and have been using PIE since then. Until recently, installed Opera mobile again, and notice the difference with this hack. No more pop ups. I went from site to site and it loaded it up. I notice major speed. I went to sites that had a hard time loading without the pop up warning me. This time, no pop up and fast upload... Now Opera mobile is the best web browser. My phone also has less freezes and boots up very fast after a reset.
I have an Kingston HC 8gb micro sd card and it works great.
As usual, use this tweak at your own risk.
How to use Micro SD card as RAM
1.Open a new folder “Volatile” on the SD card
2. Change the following key, using the registry editor:
from \HKLM\System\Filesys TempPath = \Application Data\Volatile
to \HKLM\System\Filesys TempPath = \Storage Card\Volatile
3. Turn off the pocket pc with the power button for about 30 sec (not soft reset/hard reset).
4. Turn it on again.
What software you can use to edit the registry:
PHM RegEdit (freeware): http://www.phm.lu/Products/PocketPC/RegEdit/
Here is also another speed hack if you don't want to use the one up above.
I have applied both tweaks to my phone.
Speed Hack
Navigate to: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\GDI\GLYPHCACHE\
Changed limit from 16384 to 32768
Navigate to: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\StorageManager\FATFS
Changed - CacheSize to 4096
(NEW!) Navigate to: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\StorageManager\Filters\f sreplxfilt
Change “ReplStoreCacheSize” dword decimal value to 4096 or 8192

I tried this in my Mogul and it seemed to work with my MicroSD 1GB. I noticed it booted up very fast, but the Opera Mobile 9.5 beta still showed Out of Memory. I guess I'll just have to wait until my 4GB MicroSD comes in from Amazon! There is some speed difference though with both on. No wonder it worked so well on his phone because he had an 8GB MicroSD! Anyways, just wanted to let most of you guys know.. PEACE
I posted this same message on the original thread as well.
This shouldn't work for the fact that it's not giving you additional memory, all "folders" in the phone are part of ROM memory, not RAM, so even tho you point that at your sd card, it's still not giving you back any ram which is what the Moguls lack, I think it's just a coincidence that you see a different in Opera. To prove me wrong, undo this hack, (reboot your phone) check your "free" ram, and then redo the hack reboot, and check it again.
You should see the exact same amount of free ram. And therefore won't gain any benefit.
Another thing, depending on your SD card, some being faster than others, if the SD card memory is slower than the built in ROM memory of the phone, this could actually lead to things being slower. I imagine in your case you have a fast card, and you see speed improvements because of it being able to write faster to the card than your ROM, but not any other benefits.

WOW
Best registry edit hands down i have about 7 apps open and it isn't lagging or freezing the apps i have open are thumbcal total commander tcpmp palringo calculator skyfire W.V.D. and task manager ... simply amazing and unheard of opening this many things with out lag just wow
hmmm doing some testing now .. will report later.. so far so good.. BTW
the regedit it damm cool..
I have cabbed up all of these tweaks for those of you that don't want to do the registry edits yourself. I have tested it with the emulator and it works great, but install this at your own risk.
Enjoy,
dwizzy130
Now it says I'm using up 10% more RAM than I was using before. Doesn't work for me....placebo? Has anyone else looked at their RAM usage?

Un mod
This is a very interesting idea. I've tried it and also found the loss of free ram to be a problem. But I'm running M2d. I tried dwizzy130's cab (which uninsulated with no prob). The volatile folder was populated with hidden files but i did get the low mem warning.
dogw/mogul: Are you running a stock rom? Whats your setup? I'd like to see if i can reproduce your results. I have made so many mods to my phone that one or a few maybe causing the prob. Maybe a different rom/radio/setup would produce better results.
This is an eyebrow raiser for sure!
Edit: Ok, By following the instructions manually I have the edit in place with out the extra loss of memory. The phone will still close apps after a point but your are correct in saying that the lag is reduced! It is noticeable. I'm thinking of dropping M2D and going back to dcd 3.4 just to see what performance would be like.
has anyone removed the SD card just to see what will happen?
I'm running M2D Reload 1.1
DCD 3.6.3
Radio 3.4
Sandisk 8GB HCSD
the cab install makes my phone use about 10% more ram but when i uninstalled it and just have the first hack i had 10 programs open including s2p and wmp playing music on both and still ran pretty smooth with very little lag. works nicely. i have 4gb card and 2gbs taken up by music and cabs ect. the other 2gbs is free.

I originally posted that on HowardForums... my mogul was fast and never lagged... but, I like to experiment with tweaks and 3rd party apps... so I had to do a hard reset... here is where an issue came up... using Resco Backup, I was unable to successfully restore for the fact that it was tweaked toward the SD card... my suggestion... use Sprite Backup... make an original exe copy and save it to your external card... then save another exe copy of the tweak version... so now you have two back ups...
Now, with the opera mobile... use this tweaked version of Opera Mobile browser http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=459378
No more "out of memory" issues Opera Mobile with Dexter's version....
I am still using my old 1GB SD card I had in my old phone (LG VX8300). Since I use orb for everything, I didn't see a need to get a new card. But with this hack I am tempted to do so. Hmmm got to think about this one.
edit: going to do this hack first then see if there is improvement. If its slow but have more memory then I will definetly get a faster card.
edit (again): can someone make a cab file for the first set of registry settings? Thanks!
If you were using your microSD card as RAM it would last you a few hours a best, cards cannot sustain the amount of data writing required to emulate RAM. Plus RAM operates on a bus directly with the processor, hence why it's directly assignable in assembly, which absolutely is not the case with SD cards which have to deal with a file system and interfacing hardware. Honestly extending RAM onto an SD card would make your phone run infinitely SLOWER.
Maybe there are other parts of this "Hack" that work but the idea that you can use and SD card as RAM is simply garbage.
ok cool I don't want do it then. u know that opera mobile that monte linked is great. no memory errors. It just doesn't work too good in landscape or with a hardware keyboard.
Ok so I installed the cab but I don't see any change. I still have 12 to 14MB running Manila 2D. ideas? I have 300MB or space left onmy SD Card
As I said in my first reply, this will NOT give you extra memory. Depending on the speed of your SD card, it may increase the performance on some programs, but there is no way to give the phone more ram with any registry changes. You would have to write a very low level driver that would then cause it to see additional storage as available memory, but since it's not ram, it will be extremely slow. On the original PPC's, 2003 and earlier, it had no rom, just ram, and it balanced the storage and available ram with software so that you could adjust. With the newer versions of windows mobile there is ROM and RAM, each with it's own function. So unless you were involved in the original development of the OS, it's doubtful you would have the knowledge to be able to write this kind of driver, and therefore it will probably never happen.
So this is a hack worth testing, and if you have a very fast memory card, you may see some improvements, but it will not give additional ram, and could actually cause your phone to crash if you remove the memory cards because background processes will be utilizing the memory card.
My suggestion is to not even bother with this unless you just want to test with it.
Moving the volatile storage from FASTER internal rom to SLOWER external rom is not going to get you any additional RAM, and at best will simply slow things down.
Placebo caused by the soft reset that you must do.
regarding the statements about the tweaks or cab file that the other guy provided causing you to lose ram. That is correct and thats what speeds up your system. Increasing those values allocates free ram for those specific areas speeding up the filesystem and speed of the device. So technically you didnt lose any ram its just being used for other parts of the devise to speed it up
I saw no improvement... could just be me. And my audio manager would just skip through all songs with this reg edit applied. When i put it back the way it was audio manager played all songs fine.
Wow.
Wow. I manually did the reg-edits just now and I'm not on crack. Manila 2D is considerably smoother, Skyfire loads much faster and I was able to open up multiple other progams without any lag. This is ridiculous! Nice find!
My phone ran much slower with the update, I did it just for sh*t and giggles, and was right, no additional memory, and apparently my 8gb sd card is slower than the onboard rom because it ran probably 15% slower.

First steps with a Touch Diamond 2

Hi people,
I have just got my new Touch Diamond 2 and it's beautiful. I have spent several days googling looking for the best place of expertese for tweaking and customising, and it seems this is the place. I have never owned a Windows Mobile device or a HTC before, but I'm PC savvy and I want to tweak my new phone.
Among other things, I want to:
Be sure my phone uses Wifi when available instead of contract internet
Tweak the TouchFLO home screen (including analogue clock and RSS)
Find a list of the best and/or most popular mods/software
Where do I start and what do I need!
Congratz
As I've heard and noticed from my own TD2 is that it always uses wifi over data. But if you really want to be sure you can disable Data Connection in the Communication tab whenever you want to surf.
You can also in All Settings => Personal => Buttons configure that long hold button disables Data Connection.
As for tweaking I would download Diamond Tweak and Advanced Config
http://www.touchxperience.com/en/advanced-configuration-tool/downloads.html
http://montecristoff.webs.com/diamondtweak.htm
First law of windows mobile: keep the internal disk clean!
Install every new piece of software on the memory card.
For my TD2 I got a 16Gb microSD card and started with Advanced Configuration Tool v3.3 to tweak all storage-related paths to folders I created on the memory card.
A good place to start looking for tools is freewarepocketpc.net. A lot of more than decent free applications. The ones you don't like can always be removed in settings/system/remove programs, and replaced by commercial tools.
I disagree.. I used to install everything on the external card; and found two major disadvantages:
- some app will run a lot slower!
- if you use your sd card to store music video and other stuff
you better not have to change it...
I m more inclined to install less apps that filling the memory card with it.
The main use I have for the memory card is to store backups, documents, music, and install cab files.

Yeah I saw those button settings but couldn't work out what they meant. What is this long hold button? Is it the dial button that if you hold puts it on speaker phone? And how would you configure it for disabling a data connection, I don't see and option that would allow this?
I have seen that freewarepocketpc website, and had a snoop around. I have an 8Gb card coming today (hopefully!) and I was waiting to get that to install software on it. I read that might slow down some apps, now I'm not so sure what to do. However I want to avoid installing a load of software to try it out, then uninstalling it. It is windows after all. That's why I wanted some recommended software from people on here.
Question: Will that configuration tool allow tweaking of the TouchFLO stuff? Has anyone changed the clock on the TouchFLO Home page thingy?
Thanks all for your help
You have to chose the tab "End Key" under the Button setting menu and then chose the "terminate data connection" option
Ahh I get it now, had a look at those keys thanks. Going to use Advanced Configuration Tool when I get my memory card (still not here yet!)
The best single piece of advice I can give any TD2 owner is to ditch TF3D and at least try living without it. Your rewards will be more available memory, faster operation, increased functionality, full use of applications' today screen plugins, less (or no) bugs, and the cost is it doesn't look as nice.
In a couple of months' time, WM6.5 will be out and then even the looks will be there.
After much research I have ditched TouchFLO and got SPB Mobile Shell 3. I keep hearing about bugs but I am yet to encounter one. I have to say that SPB Mobile Shell 3 is what I would have expected to have on a phone like this. TouchFLO looks good, and I have a friend that loves it, but you can't customise it very easily. Simply having the widgets in SPB Mobile SHell 3 makes it a better, mnore customisable and quicker interface.
I currently have Total Commander as an explorer replacement. I'm not sure if this is the best, but I have yet had time to do proper research. It's supposed to have a registry editor in there, but for the life of me I can't find it :/
Had some serious fun with video playback. I wanted to play full quality (not HD) dix files, DVD rips and the like. After much fun with different software I found that Coreplayer blows everything out of the water. My expectations had dropped about what I might be able to watch on my phone after having problems with other media players, but Coreplayer can play full movie DVD rips with no stuttering and it looks awesome.
Still some fun to be had tweaking, for example finding out if/how java stuff will work, trying to find something for email/sms, and some "cool" apps to impress my gran.
I'm no expert but purely from personal experience the first steps are:
1) Install Resco Explorer
http://www.resco.net/pocketpc/explorer/default.asp
2) Install HTC hotfix for Diamond 2
(http://www.htc.com/uk/SupportDownload.aspx?p_id=249&cat=0&dl_id=563)
3) Install .NET Framework 3.5 (requirement for a bunch of 3rd party software)
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/...FD-AE52-4E35-B531-508D977D32A6&displaylang=en
4) Install SKTools (needed for many things but especially for next step)
http://www.s-k-tools.com/index.html?m_products.html#tools
5) Use SKTools to disable ActiveSync (results in huge improvement of battery duration)
5a) Disable the repllog.exe (which is the application behind ActiveSync) associated with ""AppRunAfterTimeChange"" in Notifications Queue
Alternative way is to install Dotfred's Task manager and kill repllog.exe: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=3175757&postcount=50
5b) Follow the steps 1-7 in the thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=288352
5c) Install eLiAs_ASyncKiller.cab
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=3048077&postcount=40
6) Install HDTweak for various tweaks (eg for improvement of TouchFlo response)
7) Install sdkcerts (needed for "cosmetic" interventions eg Hall Feica fonts in TouchFlo, slpashscreens, topbar etc)
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=471604
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=3661976&postcount=80

8) Install Diamond D3D Video drivers using the first attachment from:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=475493&highlight=ATI+3d+driver
Before installation download and run the fourth attachment (Lights.exe)
Install the drivers and then run Lights.exe again to see the huge improvement
9) Install G-Config (for forcing applications to go into landscape mode)
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=3848546&postcount=3
10) Enjoy your Topaz
P.S.: Backup your Contacts, Calendar etc frequently

According to htc europe:
If you move to the Settings tab in TouchFLO, the top part of the item descriptions under Communications (WiFi, Bluetooth, phone, data) are slightly cut off. If this happens, please download this hotfix to solve the problem.
So I think the answer is yes
Oops I forgot the very useful CleanRAM from htcaddicts:

Hiya, great post~!
I have the Diamond2 as well... wouldn't I want to install 'Diamond Tweak' instead of 'HD Tweak'? Are they essentially the same thing, or does HD Tweak offer more functionality for the Diamond2?

WM 6.5... memory question

Hi,
I've installed Official HTC ROM and I'm surprised that it's using 62% of memory right after a softreset.
My previous Orange ROM was starting at 40-42% and barely going up to 55%.
The main memory consumers are :
- gwes.exe : 14982 kb
- device.exe : 5938 kb
Is there a way I could free up some memory please ?
Push mail is not active
The soft I have installed that is resident is BBConnect (BBMain.exe : 538 kb)
I find it less responsive then previous 6.1 certainly due to these 62% of memory usage.
Thanks for your help and advises
sounds to me like you had the resource proxy tweak and no push internet mods done to your 6.1. i have done both of those and boot just like you did at 40-42%. so if you have upgraded to 6.5 you may have to do those mods again. if you are unaware of them, maybe you installed a clean up cab or tweaks cab that had those mods in it. i have seen such things floating around. you can find them on their own though, not a 100% sure if they'll work with 6.5. i am still on 6.1 (damn cdma). so give those two tweaks a shot
EDIT: on the following link you can find the individual cabs for the tweaks. "dynamic resource proxy" and "no push internet" are the ones you want. like i said not tested on 6.5!

exactly. the no push internet will disable opera from constantly being on, and the resource tweak stop the system from dedicating ram to boot up programs faster, funny thing is that by disabling it things run faster, hah. both tweaks can free up about 30mb combined!
Disabling phone canvas and using wm default dialer will save you about 9MB.
Disabling TF3D will save you a ton of memory too...

EDIT: on the following link you can find the individual cabs for the tweaks. "dynamic resource proxy" and "no push internet" are the ones you want. like i said not tested on 6.5!

I can confirm that these tweaks do indeed save memory on WinMo 6.5!
Thanks a lot everyone...
what's the dynamic resource proxy? I don't mind disabling functions and programs, as long as I know what they are...

Increase RAM and Performance Tips

Ok so many people are ditching the topaz because they find it too slow, or its performance just doesnt cut it
But i will stay loyal!
Im starting this thread to share tips and tweaks I'm using to increase RAM/Performance on my topaz and hope other contribute too
1. Use rom build 21680 if possible (It is the fastest build for Winmo currently)
- Energy rom and Enterprise rom use this build at the moment
2. Im a huge flash-a-holic and flash roms on every update (tip dont use XDA-UC...i find that it slows down sense performance by just a little bit imo)
3. This is my NUMBER 1 recommendation for all topaz users! Netrippers 'MSM7kCpuSpeed' it's an overclocker which improves performance by HEAPS
-http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=725290
-http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=7419034#post7419034
(the second one is an app that automatically underclocks when screen is off to prevent SOD's and help save battery)
4. Energy rom and Enterprise are by far the best rom for speed and Ram so i recommend either one of those
Energy - http://208.100.42.21/showthread.php?t=562942
Enterprise - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=742356
(for better Ram in Energy enable compact start menu saves around 30-40mb of ram)
5. MMAppLauncher to override the start menu to save ram
-http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=795393
(you can map it to the "windows" button using Topaz Key mapper -http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=555821)
Very fast and ram efficient
6. Set pagepool to '0' before flashing a rom for better performance...though it slightly uses more ram (works perfectly if you use a different start menu or energy rom)
7. Using advanced config tool change all the cache sizes in the "performance" section to max (smooths out sense)
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=418151
8. Try keep the rom as close as you can to when you flashed it and dont overload it with junk you don't use
9. clean up the start menu which is in the windows folder, this will allow the start menu to be more responsive
10. I personally use Cookie Home tab and design/create it so it looks as close to Standard sense 2.5 (minimal quick links and pages and turned off weather animation and clock flips)
I find it's very quick (faster then standard sense 2.5)
11. if you don't care about all that fancy eye-candy and stuff, flash a basic titanium rom or sense 2.1 rom which are good on battery/ram/performance
(energy has all these variations ^^link above)
12. Remove all the sense tabs you don't use to increase sense performance
13. Keep in mind skinning uses ram and slows down performance by a little bit
14. disable the dialer skin if you don't care about it (can be done using advanced config tool)
15. Arto's start menu remover and replacement
Remover -http://ip208-100-42-21.static.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=642654&page=14
Replacement - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=711914
well thats all i have for the time being...if people want i can keep updating this thread when i find something new?
(Also keep in mind that im not taking into account battery life)
but my battery goes for about 1-2 days on casual use and thats fine for me (as long as it's quick)
and please share your tips

####I think perhaps there are a lot of other roms out there which are all quite fast.
3. This is my NUMBER 1 recommendation for all topaz users! Netrippers 'MSM7kCpuSpeed' it's an overclocker which improves performance by HEAPS

(the second one is an app that automatically underclocks when screen is off to prevent SOD's and help save battery)
####Although there are some bugs in this, I agree. I am on 710MHz with a poling interval of 150ms.
4. Energy rom and Enterprise are by far the best rom for speed and Ram so i recommend either one of those
Energy - http://208.100.42.21/showthread.php?t=562942
Enterprise - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=742356
(for better Ram in Energy enable compact start menu saves around 30-40mb of ram)
####I think WM6.1 is much quicker than WM6.5.
5. MMAppLauncher to override the start menu to save ram
-http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=795393
(you can map it to the "windows" button using Topaz Key mapper -http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=555821)
Very fast and ram efficient
####OCMan Start Menu is my preference. It only saves ram in WM6.5.
6. Set pagepool to '0' before flashing a rom for better performance...though it slightly uses more ram (works perfectly if you use a different start menu or energy rom)
####I don't agree. I have set mine at 24Mb. Although this costs ram before my TD2 has done anything, it stablises at a lower ram rate after a period of use.
7. Using advanced config tool change all the cache sizes in the "performance" section to max (smooths out sense)
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=418151
####Good for speed!
8. Try keep the rom as close as you can to when you flashed it and dont overload it with junk you don't use
####Agreed. If you want applications, then add them to your rom.
9. clean up the start menu which is in the windows folder, this will allow the start menu to be more responsive
####Does not apply if you remove the start menu in the first place.
13. Keep in mind skinning uses ram and slows down performance by a little bit
####If you are going to skin, then add the replaced files to the rom instead of duplicating them.
14. disable the dialer skin if you don't care about it (can be done using advanced config tool)
####I use Phonex and remove the WM dialer too. This saves 2Mb of ram.
15. Arto's start menu remover and replacement
Remover -http://ip208-100-42-21.static.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=642654&page=14
Replacement - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=711914
####Good idea, but only for WM6.5/6.5.x

Thanks for your ideas Gtj! Whilst a lot of people have read them, not many have commented or given any extra ideas.
I would also add the following:
1. Remove as much stuff as possible from the rom that you don't use.
PS, how does this multi-quote mallarky work??

Multi quote is used when responding to more than one post, so you click multi quote except for the last thread you are quoting.
Also it is not a good idea to quote the first post or a longer post as it just takes up space.
I think you've read my mind. thanks for the tips! been waiting for someone to speed up my td2
For overclocking I recommend the excellent OverClockTool by iwfratz.
My Topaz is running at 691 Mhz, 0 interval without any kind of problems, and it really is faster!

Many thanks for these tips. Will definitely try them out.
