Droid Incredible Mobile Network "Turning On" - Droid Incredible General

This whole problem started when I attempted to revert back to stock from having Skyraider. I got back to stock, but now I can't get 3G data. Under Mobile Networks, I'm stuck at "Turning On" Is my Droid incredible a paperweight now? if not, any known workarounds?
Thanks in advance!

Did you do a factory reset from within the stock ROM settings, so that you had to do a *228 option 1 to re program your phone? This is usually what willfix 3g issues if you experience the issues across different ROMs. Doing a factory reset from the settings menu wipes more data than doing it from CWM.
If that doesn't work, I would try using an official RUU if you haven't done that.
I hope that helps and good luck.

MyTouch4G + MIUI = no more mobile data connection?...

I've searched the internets and can't seem to find any help with this problem...
This is the second time I've perm-rooted my HTC Glacier (had no problems the first time), and I decided to flash a custom rom to it for the first time...
MIUI, to be exact...love it, it works great...except for the part where it completely shuts off my data if I reboot it a second time or it turns off after I ...
When the phone starts back up again, MIUI will claim to have "updated" itself, and all that jazz...but when I look up in the title bar, there's no data signal whatsoever, as if the device allowing you to accept mobile data is completely shut off...it's just gone...I still have a phone signal tho, with some bars...the only way to fix this is for me to wipe the user data using the Custom Recovery thing, flash the Froyo factory reset, then re-install the custom rom...which is a pain in the anus...
I rolled back to Froyo before rooting, then perm-rooted and flashed the custom rom following the guides provided on unlockr.com, if that helps...I'm not even sure if it's a problem that's specific to the rom I have, but can anyone help me out with this?...
Re-download the ROM and verify the md5 if it's available. Reboot into recovery and format system (mounts and storage menu in clockworkmod). Then wipe data/factory reset. Then flash the ROM. If that doesn't work let us know.

Factory reset with root?

Can I perform a factory reset when I have root user? It was suggested by a Google store representative to fix my WiFi connection dropping problem and then if it doesn't work, I can return. Just need to know if anything will break if I factoryreset/ will I still have root after the reset?

Yes. You always need to do a factory reset anyway when upgrading or changing roms too. And that's done in recovery.
First tho: wifi drops were common when I upgraded the GNex from 4.0 to 4.1. Try cycling airplane mode on & off. Usually worked in that case. Also you may try: "Forget" the wifi source, leave wifi on & reboot. Let the device search for wifi again & then sign back in. But, the airplane mode cycle gave me the best results in my situation. You can also try installing a different rom and/or kernel

Definitely you will have root even after factory reset, but all data will go and market apps needs to be re-installed. But if you still have wifi issues and return the device, not sure if you'll get warranty on a rooted device.

[Q] Voice and Data stopped working - Sprint

Not sure on this way. Running Stable 4.2.2 Google Edition and had 0 problems until a few hours ago. Went out after dinner, tried to google a phone #, but had no data. Rebooted (just for kicks), and still nothing and no voice. Trying to make a call I get "Mobile network not available". I tested using my daughters G3 and worked perfect so I know it's not that.
So, I would like to try 1 of 2 options, open to either.
1. Revert to the stock 4.2.2 and wait till the 4.3 comes around
2. Upgrade to test a newer ROM. I am reading up on the MF9 but a little unsure, if I am running an MD9, can I simply flash a newer MF9 ROM onto what I have?
I don't want to brick this phone, so what's the best way to move forward and hopefully fix this issue.
Thanks
Wipe your phone and flash a touchwiz ROM. Update prl and profile.

Thanks. Looking here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2303917 there are plenty, but as I said, I am still on the MDL ROM, so I would assume pick an MDL touchwiz, no?
Actually I have a blu-Kuban (touchwiz) nandroid, I restored to that backup, and had the same issue. No voice, and the PRL, etc. all failed to update. I am downloading the stock deoxed MDL, and will try a wipe/clean install of him.
Tnx again

I'm actually running Blu Kuban as well and I do not have this issue. Try turning the cell data toggle off and back on. Also, make sure you aren't in airplane mode. I have noticed that sometimes the toggle is on while the airplane symbol will not show in the status bar.

Thanks, but since I did try a restore, that would ensure airplane mode was not the case as I don't use it nor would I have 2 ROM's both doing the same thing. I did do a wipe/restore with no luck, so now going to do a wipe/flash. If still nothing, will have to resort to going to stock and taking it to a local sprint shop!
Thanks

if restore fails.. try ##786# > reset on stock rom. you need your SPC/MSL for this.
if the 786 reset fails.. let me know in about device > status if your phone number is still listed.. and what PRL is shown.

BAM. Worked like a charm. Naturally have all my spring bloatware and such, but I can at least make a call! Not sure how/why that happened, but it did re-activate fine, so looks like were back in business!
Thanks for all the read/replies!

Freakin "Preparing Network Notification" on TW ROM

Need help with annoying on going problem with"Preparing Network Notification" in status bar on any TW Rom I flash for, It's been gping on for about a month now (MF9 or MJA) Always clean install/flash.
symptoms are:
NO Data on CDMA/LTE mode. Data will turn on in CDMA mode only.
Cannot "Update Profile" from Settings in any network mode, when I try to update profile I get a pop up that reads"session already in progress, please try again later"
Things I have tried to fix problem with no solution are:
wipe cahe/dalvik cahe after Rom boots up.
Fix permissions in recovery.
I used Odin to reset to stock MF9 -[ROM][ODIN]SPH-L720 MF9 (MF9 Modem/Kernel/Bootloader/ROM-Rooted) from here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2486134
Called Sprint they did Dialer Code ##72786# to reset, it rebooted the phone, then it should have performed hands free activation***Hands free activation never came up.
So I'm stuck with 3G only, anytime I flash a new TW ROM.
The Funny thing is, If I restore my TW ROM Back-Up from Recovery or Flash PacMan(AOSP) everything works fine.
I appreciate the help.
I had the same problem last week. Ended up getting a replacement phone under warranty as Sprint said it's a phone problem. My MSID kept changing on its own.

[Q] help wif stuck "turning on"

please help cant get a new phon for another year and this one I almost want to throw in the garbage. Every couple of weeks i get the error saying cant establish a reliable connection for the google play store. Normally I can clear the cache and what not and clear the acount relog in and its fixed. This time nothing I could do that people suggested would help and the last option I had was to restore the phoone. So i restored the phone on the stock firmware for 4.2.2. Got the phone booted up and now my wifi is "turning on" and is stuck there. I've tried a few suggestions of reflashing stock firmware again, clearing ram, rooting the phone. and so far nothing. Please help im getting extremely frustrated and dont no what to do.

If you have flashed the nb1 tar file and you still have problems I'm afraid it's a hardware problem.
