first off all, sorry for my bad english
Android worked great on my HD2 for like 2 Months but now it won't work anymore. Currently i have this MCCM SE V3.2(FroyoStone Sense) one installed.
after clicking on HARET.EXE Android starts and then my phone freezes at the HTC Logo. The last thing i did on Android was to install funambol.
Is there way to get Android working again or at least to backup my current settings and apps and installing a new Build? I found this one, is it better then the one i'm using? I have some games installed i need at least 2.2.

The ROM you're using currently isn't supported on this site. I'm not going into the semantics, but you'll have to use google to find it. You're better off asking ROM specific questions, (such as bugs etc.), in it's support thread.
As for trying a new ROM, have a look through the SD builds forum, keep your data.img and you can always re-install your current ROM and you'll be back to where you are now (apps wise). Then just try a few you like the look of. Most of the fun of flashing ROMs, is experimenting with new ones.
Hope this helps.

It's always advisable to run Task29 before flashing a different type of ROM as it helps 2 ensure no remnants of the previous ROM remains 2 cause possible conflicts.....
Nw abt Gingerbread....Its way far 4rom perfect and so u should (actually "must" better defines it) expect issues from it...Check 4rom thread to thread for a build with lesser issues, then flash it 2 see if it matches ur taste...if it doesn't? u can always try another...
I suggest that you try a SD build of Gingerbread first.
That way, you don't need to flash your ROM, and it will leave your WM 6.5 ROM intact. The second advantage is that you will see if it fits your expectations.
But be aware that no build is perfect, and it is known that many apps are not compatible with Gingerbread yet.
I am currently using the build from this thread
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=957652
and it is working really well.
Gingerbread
All in all I think Gingerbread, is quite stable, try MDJ's cyanogenmod7 that seems to work quite nicely
I'm a bit of a noob at this.. I just received this phone from my brother, bidding that if I can get the WIFI to work on this phone, I can have it.
However, I am clueless.. This is why I figured I'd run back to xda for some help.
It is currently running on the follow:
Android 2.3.4
Radio: 2.15.50.14
Build: NexusHD2-Gingerbread V2.7 NAND
Everything BUT the wifi works - I can't even ADD a network onto it.
Would I have to re-install a new build? Or is there something I can do to the phone that will fix this?
(Note: I'm an iPhone user using this phone, this phone came WITH the android OS on it. Mind that I have no idea how to flash anything so please be patient with me if I ask you a ton of questions!)
if the phone has clockworkmod recovery then you can try to fix permissions , but if it doesn't then you will have to reinstall/reflash it, but if you want my opinion you should start from scratch.
Hello I was hoping someone could answer a quick question or two for me. My background is hardware, but I have enough knowledge of all this stuff to be dangerous to myself. I don't use the SDK yet so Clockwork-mod and the toolbox are my friends.

How do I know if a Kernal is compatible with someone elses ROM. Specifically| Kernel: tytung_r14 is the one I use now and need to keep as it supports Solution: T-Mobile WiFi Calling . I have no service to speak of at my house and this app has saved me a ton of hassle so I don't want to give it up to try another ROM even if it on my second leo. Also anyone ROM that says it uses this kernel does that mean it should support wifi calling ?

Why am I having M5sub issues when I try to flash a earlier ROM or a Clockwork recovery from one phone to the other?
The reason this came up is since I am new to this and I don't want to NEED someone to help me RIGHT NOW because my phone does not work. I basically fixed a trashed Leo off ebay to get a second phone before I started the software side. Once things were going well I went for it and started on my good phone. I thought i could just make a backup of one and then basically cloning it to the other. it has kind of worked but not well. I really need a better handle on why i get hung up at the htc screen alot and what somethings like Titanium backup and root do. They are all nice but not doing exactly what I think whey will or maybe things like Google verification is messing with me cause apps moving between phones, for the records I go pro on all of it I not trying to be cheap.
Hopefully now I have a thank you button
Greg

Solution: T-Mobile WiFi Calling
I have installed the last Android 2.3.7 for my HTC HD2. Everything is good and it is running smooth. Expect one thing:
3G not working. I have unlimited data plan from T-Mobile and almost (90%) from the time the internet not working (3G), in addition to WiFi sometimes it disconnected and I need to reconnect it again.
I placed the power widget on the desk with 3G/2G, and I tried everything but nothing work for the 3G?
Please HELP

Thank you

What is your ROM version? It may be ROM problem, may even be common in your ROM. Check your ROM development thread if somebody else reported this kind of problem, if he did there is probably a solution there.
Thank you for respond
This is all info.
AmeriCanAndroid AOSP HD2 GB2.3.7 CM7.2
And no one thread this
As i searched ROM dev thread(http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=18900146&highlight=3g#post18900146) you can see that there was several problems with 3G. What helped is apparently returning to factory settings. What you can try is to perform factory reset by phone settings or hard reset, but with second one you'll loose all data. If you had system data backup, dont use it after reset.
My original phone is HTC HD2 Windows phone 6.5. I switched my phone to Android 2.3.7 and I cannot do a system restore or hard reset because it will return to windows phone.
My issue with 3G on ANDROID NOW.
thx
Nah. Your ROM is NAND rom, which means it is installed on internal memory of phone and WinMo 6.5 was ereased completely and it won't return. Hard reset will wipe data of current system. If You're using MAGLDR all you need to do is perform Hard Reset with it. I dont know how about CLK, im a MAGLDR user If that won't work, i'd suggest clean install.

Well if youre using CLK then it most likely is that . and if you arent very good with android or setting things up i suggest you switch to MAGLDR . if you shut down your phone then reboot , and you see "GO GO GO" youre on magldr . if not , youre on CLK . also , which kernel are you using ? the stock one ? i recommend fikret's or seadersn kernels for stability .
I am using CLK and I can go all over the setting but nothing working?
The Kernel Version: 2.6.32.15.
My issue is only no 3G and some time there is?

I installed the Android on the SD. It is not on the internal I am sure.
Are you using NAND? is stable and 3G working?
