I have installed the last Android 2.3.7 for my HTC HD2. Everything is good and it is running smooth. Expect one thing:
3G not working. I have unlimited data plan from T-Mobile and almost (90%) from the time the internet not working (3G), in addition to WiFi sometimes it disconnected and I need to reconnect it again.
I placed the power widget on the desk with 3G/2G, and I tried everything but nothing work for the 3G?
Please HELP
My device:
HTC HD2
Android Version: 2.3.7
Kernel Version: 2.6.32.15-g99641cc
Builder number: GWK74
Thank you

What is your ROM version? It may be ROM problem, may even be common in your ROM. Check your ROM development thread if somebody else reported this kind of problem, if he did there is probably a solution there.
Thank you for respond
This is all info.
AmeriCanAndroid AOSP HD2 GB2.3.7 CM7.2
And no one thread this
As i searched ROM dev thread(http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=18900146&highlight=3g#post18900146) you can see that there was several problems with 3G. What helped is apparently returning to factory settings. What you can try is to perform factory reset by phone settings or hard reset, but with second one you'll loose all data. If you had system data backup, dont use it after reset.
My original phone is HTC HD2 Windows phone 6.5. I switched my phone to Android 2.3.7 and I cannot do a system restore or hard reset because it will return to windows phone.
My issue with 3G on ANDROID NOW.
thx
Nah. Your ROM is NAND rom, which means it is installed on internal memory of phone and WinMo 6.5 was ereased completely and it won't return. Hard reset will wipe data of current system. If You're using MAGLDR all you need to do is perform Hard Reset with it. I dont know how about CLK, im a MAGLDR user If that won't work, i'd suggest clean install.

Well if youre using CLK then it most likely is that . and if you arent very good with android or setting things up i suggest you switch to MAGLDR . if you shut down your phone then reboot , and you see "GO GO GO" youre on magldr . if not , youre on CLK . also , which kernel are you using ? the stock one ? i recommend fikret's or seadersn kernels for stability .
I am using CLK and I can go all over the setting but nothing working?
The Kernel Version: 2.6.32.15.
My issue is only no 3G and some time there is?

I installed the Android on the SD. It is not on the internal I am sure.
Are you using NAND? is stable and 3G working?

Can you send me your ROM information and how I can downloaded and install it?
I am familiar with HTC HD2 Android SD, but I have never installed or tested and NAND Android?
Please provide me the links to download it!
Thanks
Do any one has any idea how to fix 3G. It is not working and the WiFi sometimes disconnected?

Did you really try to install android on your internal memory?
If yes, please search for the next corner and shame on you..
your internal memory (the 512 mb) is called NAND. This won't be touched by Android (well...just take this for granted).
You'll install android on your SD card.
Good luck!
Hey hey i was not saying that to install on ROM, i was asking that how can i run android (froyo) on my HD2 which have 512mb ROM.
means i dont have t-mobile version.
Otherwise i know i should keep the files in micro SD card and then run it.
When i try to run on my HD2 screen fades out and nothings come back. i need to pull my battery out to restart my phone.

it depends on each persons liking.. but since you're just starting to port to android.. i would recommend these combo, as i think both these works right out of the box as they say.. very fast build.. after you try these combination, you can explore with other builds.. but this would be a great start.. try it
VBNRom (Winmo ROM) i know you said you already have chucky ROM, but this one is light and gives me good compatibility..
NexusHD2 (Android) everything works.. BT, camera, internet (only RMNET) and very fast build..
I use chucky myself, and Darkstone's Desire Froyo. Everything works, and I havent noticed any slowdowns so far.
Its a genuine lovestory, really
Sent from my HTC HD2 (Running Android) using XDA App
all windows phone 7 htc phones have 512 mb rom , and i think wp7 consumes more space than android as it has allot of animations and eye candy items
Ok i have had a few versions on Android running now but seem to have the same issue with every one, which is ramdomly loosing data connection although it is showing that it has. My question is has it got anything to do with the WM ROM and Radio etc im Running or is it going to be the Android Build.
I have
ChuckyRom WWE
Radio 2.15.50.14
No android on there at the Mo as I have just formatted the card I did have Mdeejay Evo Sense v.23 Revolution
Can you help ?

If you have had all PPP builds (which I suspect you have), these data drops are normal. There are ways to improve stability, look around in the development section and your build thread, or switch to an RMNET build if you really want a stable (but slower) connection. If you're on RMNET already, you'll need someone more advanced to help you but your build's thread would be a good starting point.
Ok cheers, are my ROM and Radio ok as far as you know ?
The ROM and Radio is ok. In the android dev section you'll find this wrapper. Try it out. And I recommend you to use hastarin 8.5 kernel. Seems to improve the connection stability again.
Edit: Hastarin 8.5
I have darkstone SuperRAM FroYo v1 on my HD2 and it runs great with the exception of one problem. My data connection doesn't work most of the time. I usually have "H" with the up and down arrow both gray. Even if I have 5 bars of service, my data almost never works. When I'm running WinMo 6.5 however, my data connection works perfectly.
I've tried to find threads related to my problem, but I just can't seem to find an answer.
I appreciate any help from you guys!
Is it the Nand rom? I think Darkstone mentioned that it is experimental not for daily use.
just change your rom to stable one.
Well this has happened in all versions of Android that I've tried. Do you think upgrading the radio would help?
Here are some questions back at you.
Did you set up the APN with the correct settings?
Did you mess with the Kernel?
can not install the Clockwork Mod Recovery On The HD2 when i restart on the MAGLDR only on 2.Boot AD NAND what do need help!!!!!!!!!!!
I have not, is there an instructional thread that can help me do this?
I'm not sure if you can help me Life1688, but I tried installing WP7 earlier today and made another thread about a major problem I have.
This is the thread to the other problem
I reason I'm asking you is because my knowledge of all this HD2 modifying isn't great.
Response
Try the 2.15.50.14 this rocks I get a steady 3g signal with the androi-ppc-shiftpda
nand build.
@Ionowner07470
Did changing radio help you? I have the exact same problem with the same ROM
(wich besides this works perfectly so I really dont want to change ROM)
would appriciate if you could tell me what changes you made and if they helped, thanks!
I'm a bit of a noob at this.. I just received this phone from my brother, bidding that if I can get the WIFI to work on this phone, I can have it.
However, I am clueless.. This is why I figured I'd run back to xda for some help.
It is currently running on the follow:
Android 2.3.4
Radio: 2.15.50.14
Build: NexusHD2-Gingerbread V2.7 NAND
Everything BUT the wifi works - I can't even ADD a network onto it.
Would I have to re-install a new build? Or is there something I can do to the phone that will fix this?
(Note: I'm an iPhone user using this phone, this phone came WITH the android OS on it. Mind that I have no idea how to flash anything so please be patient with me if I ask you a ton of questions!)
if the phone has clockworkmod recovery then you can try to fix permissions , but if it doesn't then you will have to reinstall/reflash it, but if you want my opinion you should start from scratch.

You mentioned that you're using cLK bootloader. When installing the 2.3 ROM, are you sure you're flashing/selecting the correct connection method? To get data on cLK, you must be using PPP protocol.
If by cellular network, you mean no signal/coverage at all (e.g. you can't even make phone calls), then I'm not sure what the cause is. You may search the ROM's thread, you might be able to find something there.

Yes, I use PPP method in installing. But phone haven't IMEI with this rom. On rom with android 4.4 IMEI and network worked. Both rom NexusHD2. Thread of NexusHD2 version 2.3 at this time closed.
Problem solved. I installed other rom - TyphooN CyanogenMod 7 android 2.3 and all work normally.
