I am using a rom manager from the marketplace. Is it possible for me to make a folder in root for the SD to place all my rom zips? Im trying to figure out how to store all my roms on my sd card so i dont have to rename each rom to update.zip and then load it to the SD root each time i want to switch. Any input would be helpful. Hope i explained that right
If you download from your browser it makes a neat folder on the sd called downloads. I personally dont use rom manager. It is a good tool for root users, but i perfer doing things the old fashoined way.

I have liberated aria, app2sd (cooked into liberated r12), and my sd card reports as damaged. I've resigned myself to format this card, but it keeps reporting as damaged whether I format using Android or Clockwork. Don't have a PC available to format, and have not yet tried removing the ext partition. (Didn't want to lose all my apps.)
Anyone have any thoughts?

I had the same scare with a new SD card also. After I formatted using a pc, it was ok.

I figured I'd have to plug it into a PC. I guess I'll do that when I get home Monday.
Thanx for the help.

When I put it in a card reader, it was slow as heck to read and format the card, but format it did.
It also left my ext partition intact.

So guys I'm using CWR and I want to try Af143's newest DHD ROM but it's not a .zip file? It's like it's all just files that you would see when you're flashing a ROM through MAGLDR. They aren't just zips you copy to SD card. How do I do it? Thanks.
There is a way to convert normal nand roms, to make them CWM-compatible.

cannot update, need correct rom.
Here's the info on the phone, if anyone can help it would be huge for me.

Download this, put it on the root of your SD card, rename it to "sappimg.zip", boot your phone into hboot (volume down+power), and hit the trackball when prompted to continue. After it does its thing, press the trackball again to reboot. Make sure you have at least 50% battery and that you don't turn the phone off while its updating.

Doesn't need to be a goldcard? Or just any typical micro SD.

That means don't put it in any folders and I wouldn't recommend downloading straight to the SD card. Did you rename the file and follow all my instructions? If you're running Windows you need to go into Folder Options in the Control Panal and turn off "Hide know file extensions".

I downloaded the zip file to my desktop. Changed the name to sapping.zip, then i copyed it to the root of my sd card. Still nothing, am i missing something? I also turnd off the option in the control panel.

So when you rebooted your phone into hboot it didn't pick the file up?

No it didn't, do I unzip it then put it on the SD renamed? Or leave it zipped.

Leave it zipped. Try formatting your SD card and copying the file back over. Make sure you back anything you want to keep up to your computer before formatting.

Nah, goldcard wont fix the version problem. Need you to get fastboot going and run the following command "fastboot getvar version-main". You will need to make a goldcard to get your phone fixed, but there are other things that must be done as well.
Sent from my fingers.
Ok then after the fastboot command I need to put the sapping.zip on the goldcard. And load it through hboot?

No you just need to get a goldcard made and give me the output of that command. Then we'll move forward.

I can't even get fastboot to run on my computer. Says I need Java Jdk, but it never downloads when I go to do it. I'm getting real irritated
