Only the Droid X2 and Droid Bionic look good. The rest are pretty much the same old.

They will have 4G for sure, even though the nexus doesn't really bring breakthrough specs it sure is fasst, played with one at best buy

It sure is fast, as long as you're on wifi and not using sprints ****ty data network.

I keep seeing the posts about sprints ****ty network...I just came from Verizon and I see no difference and sometimes better speed and coverage with sprint. Maybe its just my area. I know all places are different.

lucky. a lot of us here have horrible data speeds and have not figured it out yet. however, only the last 2 phones look good to me considering the tegra2. however, the nexus s and evo3d are looking hopeful. the evo 3d if it is the lg optimus 3d is insane! i would have a tough choice deciding between the nexus s and evo3d if that were the case

Omg i just finally saw the samsung galaxy S for t-mobile and man it looks sweet. The phone fells nice and the screen sexy as hell. One thing i notice we both work in same places so i dont gdt how he gets 4g in the building but i dont and i got sprint and we have 4g first whats sup with the Evo?

While not technically being 4g it's still more nationwide then sprint's and imo faster. fastest ive ever gotten is 7-10mbps ive seen tmobile get 12+mbps same city from tmobile.

You have to be kidding i left my really good T-Mobile plan to come to Sprint when the evo came out and T-mobile is faster damn for some reason i thought Sprint was faster it gets worse lol

I miss Tmobile
I only came to sprint because of the price and the evo.
Though wimax has improved a lot around here anyways, i get 3 bars now where I used to get maybe 1 so it has improved if it doesn't get better I'm going back to tmobile or verizon possibly.

Will Detroit ever see 4G from SPRINT?

Title says it all. Will we ever see the 4G light or make the switch? We need to get what we pay for. The fact that sprint says they have 4g means nothing until we all have it. Any comments?

With time it will, can't get you any source of when but it will in the future and don't worry is not a big deal sometimes speed vary and inside building sucks

Mm well I think I get my money worth and I haven't use 4G for over 3 weeks and I live in Las Vegas so it works here, the price is.more for unlimited data, 3G only phones will get it too

As of just a couple days ago, a 4g tower has been spotted in downtown Detroit near Wayne state university. It can be verified on sensorly.com. I've been scouring the web daily for 4g news and it looks like its finally making its way! Search "4g tower in Detroit " in Sprint Community forums for more details. ( I'm a new user so I can't post outside links)

I haven't had any signal downtown yet but the signal is strong near Wayne State.

Got my letter today

for those of you who don't know. I've been using the 11115.prl and I use about 1.5-3 gigs roaming & 1.5-3 gigs on sprint towers a month.
So Monday I got my letter in the mail, I called them and they gave me a option if I want to stay with them to stop roaming or if I wanted to cancel my service that I could do so. (they would waive the ETF)
Just a heads up to everyone else if you use over 300MB roaming they flag your accounts. (what the rep told me)
Now to be honest I was purposely trying to use a crap ton a data (always streaming sirusxm) because I'm sick of sprint's slow service in my area. On the sprint towers we get around 20-60KBS and on roaming I get about 1mbps.
Anyways... any suggestions on different provider? phones?

Your roaming on VZ and like those speeds. Go with VZ

Yeah, i don't know about Roswell, but here in San Diego (which Sprint seems to have forgotten about) Vz wins.
I'm stuck with Sprint for at least 12 more months so I am hoping that they get their youknowwhat together otherwise I'm going big red.

Whats going to happen is that I am throwing my Epic4g into the trash the INSTANT there is an LTE network in my area and a Samsung Galaxy S III with LTE available.

Wouldn't the wimax network have allot less users when everyone starts moving to LTE? Shouldn't that make wimax faster until they kill it off?

Wimax is not going away.
Neither Sprint nor Verizon has Spectrum capacity to meet demand. Clear Does.

What use will I have for the phone when I get its replacement? Anything the Epic4g can do, my new phone can do better and faster. Might give the epic4g to a family member or hopefully microsoft brings back its stupid smoked by windows phone challange this summer and I can get a new one of those for free in trade and then sell it. Most likely though it would sit in a drawer for a year in case I need a backup phone and then into the garbage.

I'll give it to my kids so that can use it like the Android version of the iPod touch: WIFI only, gaming, music, etc. Until Sprint comes out with a worthy successor, such as the new GS3 or Galaxy Note/Journal, I'll be rocking both the OG Epic 4G and my International Galaxy Note (on Straight Talk prepaid unlimited).
