Im using these and my android is running smoothly. However if your going to use android 10% i reccomend one of the stripped winmo roms made for using android only.

I am using radio 2.11.50.26 , have tried every else possiblle, but non of them is so lite on battery usage as 2.11.
Keep in mind that radio is country ( mobile network provider ) dependent.
So 2.11 might work for me but not for you.
Regarding ROM, I dont think that WINMO ROM plays a key factor when using android.

I think the radio is more of a regional thing, may be different for EU, USA, China, or if you phone is locked in to a provider (T-mobile)
If you enter your serial number at the HTC site, the ROM they give you should be suitable for your phone, it worked for me and was the easiest thing to do ;-)

Need help to choose radio rom

Hi guys!
I saw the Evo rom the other day and was about to flash my phone when i saw that it's not gonna work with the radioversion i have. It says that "MAKE SURE YOUR RADIO VERSION IS AT LEAST 2.07.50 (not 51!)" "
I RECOMMEND FLASHING RADIO 2.08.50" my radioversion is 2.06.51.07.
Bought my phone in sweden and im not really sure what the radio rom does to the phone, i wonder what version is okey for me to install so i can flash my phone with the evo rom.

Since you are posting in the HD2 forum, I assume you have an HD2.
The HD2 is a Windows Mobile OS, while the EVO is Android. Flashing an EVO ROM on an HD2 will not work.
ye i have an HD2,forgot to put that in=)
The rom i want to install is the HD2 CELL EVO v1
That should be a problem right?
go to the rom thread you want and it should tell you what radio is reccomended
do some research of you own but reading the threads.
different roms can run off different radios, its all down to personal choice,

Witch Radio for Android in your Country?

Hi there,
i tested a lot of Windows Mobile ROM's and everyone with specific behavior to a Radio. Actually i'm using the EnergyROM GER C00kie 28 Aug and it is amazing. I also would use Android but i'm not able to find a good Radio.
So i decided to start a Thread, where everyone can post hier Radio, ROM WM, Android ROM and his Place + Network (Eplus,Vodafone etc.).
I hope it can be a useful help to wirght down positiv and negative experiences you made with Android on different Radios.
So i tried the 2.07 Radio, witch has an amazing Batterylife on Windows Mobile on latest EnergyROM. But in Android over 6 hours a lost 50 % Battery in standby! Tried Radio 2.12 and high drain in WinMo and bad connection in Android.
I'm in Germany with BASE.
.........................reserved
You used 2.07 radio with android ? You didn't read the sticky.. Actually I am surprised android ran fine with it, you must have >= 2.08
All radio are different for each one, i saw a lot of thread like yours and nothing interesting went out. If that can help I am using 2.08 for france/switzerland, call quality is good and I am loosing 1% in standby each hour.
no i read
but because radio was perfect, i tried it. And NRZ gives advice to use 2.07 or 2.12 with his WM ROM.
i'll try this two for next
Leo_RADIO_2.10.50.28_2 and Leo_RADIO_2.08.50.05** (you mean this 2.08?)
how is your battery behavior in windows mobile and android? both good?

2.08.50.05 yes. So happy with it that I don't feel the need to change. Try it, maybe german and france have the same ways to deal with signals... seems to work good with wm but honestly I don't use it at all anymore.

i'll try thanks, stupid question, but can i update or downgrade Radio (e.g. 2.12 to 2.08) without a full new flash?
[Full Flash: Task29 -> Radio -> WinMo ROM]
or can i only flash a new radio over the installed ROM?

You can flash just the radio, no pb it is independent

Do these Android and WM6 ROMs work on the T-Mo version?

I just realized the T-Mo HD2 has a separate for it. So do these ROM's and mods work on the T-Mo verison? There doesn't seem to be nearly as much stuff in the T-Mo forum as in this one.
you can flash any ROM but you must check if it's compatible with Tmous. it doesn't matter if your device is T-mobile or non tmobile or unlocked, Android run on all of them as long as you have the proper radio/rom
How can i figure out what Radio I need to have on it to make it compatible?
Probably a **.50.** Radio not 51 . Although I don't own a Tmous Device so I'm NOT SURE .. you better do your own researches on this thread : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=611787 ..

ChuckyDroid
i use an energy ROM and it is awesome.
Upgrade your ROM to ChuckyDroid or Energy and then go thru trying Radio versions. Thats where you'll spend time to figure out which one is best. Radio is more critical.
I recommend mimicking what the dev has, which appears to be the stock ROM with radio 2.12
Sent from my Nexus One using XDA App

[Q] what will happen if frequently changing the rom of hd2

hi htc hd2 users...i love my hd2..first the stock rom was installed in it..i felt some few bugs in stock rom n i tried energy rom after seeing good reviews for it..once i installed energy rom..i found having hanging issues or freezing issues..well i didnt know whats the reason for it...so again i formatted or uninstalled energy rom n installed the ols stock rom itself...now again i found another one rom named as cleanEX RV Ultra 1.01 ..its great n its compatible with my hd2 version...n i am running on it only..today i saw a tmobile updated official rom of 3.14 n i am plannin to install it..but i am scared what ll happen if frequently changing the rom...whether it ll affect my hd2 or cause any damage etc etc
thanks for the reply..
phone-T-mobile htc hd2
Os version-21913
Rom version- cleanEX RV Ultra 1.01
Radio version-2.08.50.08_2
nothing will happen
Just remember to run task29 before you flash your new rom
I have my device now for about 15 mounts, and in the meal wile I have install more than 70 Rom's on it without any problems.
The most important is not how much Rom versions you will install but eater if you would do it correctly.
Why don't you put HSPL3 2.08HSPL and MAGLDR1.13 on it so you can have Android on NAND, Windows Phone 7, hah? . . . now we're talking
Like kurt-willems, my HD2 is like 15 months old, I´m a flashaholic since other devices in the past. I think I flashed roughly 50 custom ROMs (plus some stock ROM flashes before task29 was possible with stand-alone apps).
It is being said that the memory chip technology which stores the OS ROM can be at least re-written 1000 times. I don´t think I will still use the HD2 in 20 years.
Maybe, I´ll keep it as a souvenir as one of the greatest smartphones in the early 2000´s. And at least 1 ROM of each OS on an SD... just for fun, hehe...
I couldn't really remembered how many ROM flashing i've had done since my Dopod 838 Pro, TyTN II, Touch Pro, Touch Pro2, Snap and now HD2, nothings bad happened. So the point is, it's safe as long as You do by the rule Sir. Go a head, You can do more than just that, Cheers

Bro, your avatar is the same with the signature of Bro Tictac (above your post )
I have been flashing my HD2 for 13 months and I tried almost all wwe roms available in XDA and HTC Pedia. But I think it still below 1000 times.
And when it reaches 1000 times and something happen with my HD2, I will not regret it because HD2 is the best phone ever made by HTC
Cheers....
PS. Win, sudah berhasil dual boot nya?

Since you are running a custom ROM, then you alread have HSPL running. I would go into BootLoader Mode to confirm that the SPL is 2.08.HSPL
Your RADIO is fine (although there are a few updated verions 2.12.50 and the 2.15.50 are the more popular).
Once all that is done then you are able to go into the Android NAND ROM Flashing.

You have to change RADIO by your own.
