thanks for the reply..

nothing will happen
Just remember to run task29 before you flash your new rom
I have my device now for about 15 mounts, and in the meal wile I have install more than 70 Rom's on it without any problems.
The most important is not how much Rom versions you will install but eater if you would do it correctly.
Why don't you put HSPL3 2.08HSPL and MAGLDR1.13 on it so you can have Android on NAND, Windows Phone 7, hah? . . . now we're talking
Like kurt-willems, my HD2 is like 15 months old, I´m a flashaholic since other devices in the past. I think I flashed roughly 50 custom ROMs (plus some stock ROM flashes before task29 was possible with stand-alone apps).
It is being said that the memory chip technology which stores the OS ROM can be at least re-written 1000 times. I don´t think I will still use the HD2 in 20 years.
Maybe, I´ll keep it as a souvenir as one of the greatest smartphones in the early 2000´s. And at least 1 ROM of each OS on an SD... just for fun, hehe...
I couldn't really remembered how many ROM flashing i've had done since my Dopod 838 Pro, TyTN II, Touch Pro, Touch Pro2, Snap and now HD2, nothings bad happened. So the point is, it's safe as long as You do by the rule Sir. Go a head, You can do more than just that, Cheers

Bro, your avatar is the same with the signature of Bro Tictac (above your post )
I have been flashing my HD2 for 13 months and I tried almost all wwe roms available in XDA and HTC Pedia. But I think it still below 1000 times.
And when it reaches 1000 times and something happen with my HD2, I will not regret it because HD2 is the best phone ever made by HTC
Cheers....
PS. Win, sudah berhasil dual boot nya?

Since you are running a custom ROM, then you alread have HSPL running. I would go into BootLoader Mode to confirm that the SPL is 2.08.HSPL
Your RADIO is fine (although there are a few updated verions 2.12.50 and the 2.15.50 are the more popular).
Once all that is done then you are able to go into the Android NAND ROM Flashing.

Hi guys!
I saw the Evo rom the other day and was about to flash my phone when i saw that it's not gonna work with the radioversion i have. It says that "MAKE SURE YOUR RADIO VERSION IS AT LEAST 2.07.50 (not 51!)" "
I RECOMMEND FLASHING RADIO 2.08.50" my radioversion is 2.06.51.07.
Bought my phone in sweden and im not really sure what the radio rom does to the phone, i wonder what version is okey for me to install so i can flash my phone with the evo rom.

Since you are posting in the HD2 forum, I assume you have an HD2.
The HD2 is a Windows Mobile OS, while the EVO is Android. Flashing an EVO ROM on an HD2 will not work.
ye i have an HD2,forgot to put that in=)
The rom i want to install is the HD2 CELL EVO v1
That should be a problem right?
go to the rom thread you want and it should tell you what radio is reccomended
do some research of you own but reading the threads.
different roms can run off different radios, its all down to personal choice,
Hey guys, I'm a real noob at all of this whole "ROM Downloading" kinda thing. I got an HTC HD2 (1024MB ROM) and an SPL of 2.08.0000. That's all I know, and I need that new Desire HD rom on my phone. I've never installed a rom before (still on crappy winmo 6.5 ) So I need a step-by-step guide that can help me download it. (IN ENGLISH PLZ) I've read other forums, but I'm scared to do anything because I don't want to brick my phone . Someone help please!
[TUT] Flashing your First GSM USA 1024LEO ONLY!! (For Noobs)
Thanks, I think I got some of that down, but what are the steps I need to make to download this rom? I already got the 2.08 Hard spl downloaded and my rom (Desire HD beta 2) downloaded on my comp.
Copy the your Android folder to the root of your SD card;
Open the Android folder
Select CLRCAD file (nothing will happen you select it; thats the way it works)
Select HARET
Then wait and watch the Android magic happen....
The rest is history....

Hey id like to know this as well !!? I've heard that Winmo rom: VBN_RC7_2-Clarity-21916-C1, and Radio: 2.14.50.04 work great for android roms, however, i can't find the links to these anywhere! been looking for hours now help anyone!? suggestions? im trying to use Hyperdroid v1.1
Edit: i got it
Winmo rom VBN RC7 clarity 21916: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=721438
Radio 2.14: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=788575&page=4
That winmo rom and radio worked flawlessly with Pongster's hyperdroidsense v1.1, it is epic!!! http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=792777
Did you change the kernel too or just flash the rom and radio?
I was wondering if it was possible to install Android on the stock ROM 3.14 WWE (radio 2.15.50.14). I would like to install android without having to use HSPL because I'd like to keep the phone under warranty
Nahh
Tried doing that. My WM locked up totally. It would start, but NO 3'rd party progs worked. I could not uninstall, nor install.
The only thing that worked was to reset WM.
So i ran the HSPL part, upgraded WM to Dutty, upgraded the Radio, and Android ran smoothly.
I'm not sure if all WM's will lock up, but i only speak for my self.
Btw, my was stock Norwegian.
Good luck
It does work on the latest ROM (3.14). Plenty of people have had it working, me being one of them. It's definitely a good solution for those who don't want to have to upgrade HSPL in order to get a newer radio.
I've been always using Stock roms, and Android has always worked perfectly here.
Currently using 3.14 German Stock Rom + MDJ 1.7 Android room. working flawlessly.
stock orange rom
I am using a stock orange rom. I did HSPL3 and updated the radio to 2.14.50.04.
I went for the FroyoStone_Sense_V3.2 build, and have had no stability issues. I use this as my main phone and never revert back to winmo.
Like most I do suffer from data drops, but get around it by toggling airplane mode.
Hi, two seperate things here, you can run it on a stock rom see my sig, but you must install HSPL3.
Mines working just fine...
Didn't alter the WinMo ROM, radio, or even SPL. Just cut & pasta the Android ROM files to SD Card, and magic!

No, you don't need to install hspl. A radio version >2.08 is enough. Recent stock ROM has 2.15
having HSPL is safer .. I am running the Tmobile stock with hspl ,running Mdeejay Evo and works like a charm .
I don't see how having HSPL could possibly be any safer for running Android from your sd card, as Android doesn't use or touch your SPL at all. You are perfectly safe to run Android on a stock rom, as long as you have a X.XX.50.XX radio everything will be as if you were to run it on a cooked rom

Not necessarily, but maybe.
Put it in the fridge for 10 minutes, if it restarts and works fine make another call or play a video. If it does it again then you probably have a bad mainboard (hardware). Either warranty or you're SOL.
your other option is to flash a new ROM and see if that fixes it. Personally to me it sounds like bad hardware. I'd contact the person you bought the phone from.
thank you orangekid,
i made another call and there was no problem, but when i tryed to reboot the phone it stucks on the go go go screen,so i took out the battery and reinsert like 10 times and got it working !!! i think that the prolem is with the SPL/Radio version,
i noticed who sold me the phone has changed the SPL to 2.08 8G XE CotullaHSPL
and the radio to 2.15.50.14 and the os is android 2.2.1 ultimate droid
so can i fix this?
i think my problem looks like this one http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=942148 ???

That is the correct SPL and Radio for Android, those are not the problem. It might be the Android ROM, but random restarts when phone is hot is usually hardware.
I would flash a new Android ROM.
now i will try to install wm 6.5, can i install wm with the 2.08 spl and the radio 2.15.50.40 ?
please there is a lot to know about flashing and i try to be careful because i losed my old htc while flashing a new ROM

can i install wm6.5 with the 2.08 spl and radio 2.15.50.40 ?
and just one last question, how can i know if my hd2 is leo or not
Yes you can install wm6.5 on your current spl/radio
to get stock ROM go to HTC website hd2 updates & enter your devices serial to download the relevant ROM
HD2 is LEO, if reffering to T-mobile USA version this is easily spotted by t-mobile logo at top & coloured green call & red end keys.
Issue does sound like mainboard CPU BGA issue but a clean install on original WM6.5 is a good idea to test.
Keep it cool will flashing with a fan or by chilling it in fridge if it fails to fuction for a full flash ...

Yep mainboad CPU BGA failure.
Time to return & see the seller & smash the HD2 in his face ...
Buying HD2 used is a risky game & buying with Android already installed just increases risk of getting a dud device ...
thanks to all of you,i will see the seller

Nice to see that I'm not the only 15 year old with either a blackberry or an iPhone
Anyway, what I did was just use the latest official stock ROM from HTC themselves in order to update the radio. If you flash ROM 3.14, then you will have radio 2.15, then you can use HSPL4 to flash HSPL 2.08 and follow the guide from there You might have to search for a mirror of the official stock ROM for your device as if I'm not mistaken HTC has taken down the file from their site. You can't really brick your phone unless you flash an incompatible radio and if you use the stock ROM you won't need to worry about that. Your HD2 is a 512 if you don't have a TMOUS logo on the top, and also all of the hardware buttons are white.
