front no one answered

ChuckyDroid

i use an energy ROM and it is awesome.

Upgrade your ROM to ChuckyDroid or Energy and then go thru trying Radio versions. Thats where you'll spend time to figure out which one is best. Radio is more critical.

I recommend mimicking what the dev has, which appears to be the stock ROM with radio 2.12

[Q] Android on stock HTC ROM?

Hey,
Just wondering if anyones tried running Android on a stock HTC ROM?
I'm thinking of re-flashing the original Windows Mobile ROM and seeing if it will be able to launch Android from SD Card?
I've heard someone say it has been known to work?

I will be tonight when I finish work
Thought i'd ask ahead just in case anything I need to know. I want to have the stock ROM just because everything works on it and battery life is pretty good, but then can have Android to play around on
I am just using Android on my Stock Rom for the last 20 days.
Its working fine but the problem is instability in the Working of Android.
I have tried all the versions with different Radio versions.
Among them the best suit is Shubcraft1.4d the latest one and Radio version 2.11.50.20
I've been running Android on my "original" stock TMOUS ROM for about 3 full weeks now. At first, I ran Android with the stock 2.08 radio for about 4 days. For some reason, I rebooted my device and I was never able to get Android to run successfully again. I kept getting WSOD during boot-up and BSOD when trying to wake from sleep.
Finally, I flashed my radio to 2.12, and I've had absolutely no problems. I've seen many complaining that the stock TMOUS ROM causes problems, but I think it has more to do with radio, zImage, and build combinations than WinMo ROMs.
Good luck
just loaded android on stock 1.48.707.2 rom but with updated radio 2.12 version seemed to work o.k but froze a bit here and there seemed useable apart from the crashes

hmm, think tonight i will reflash to stock rom from HTC and then try radio 2.10 as per person further up, try it with various builds then maybe try radio 2.12... i will post my results within the next several hours
I think there are also differences between TMOUS and our European ROMS. Especially because of the Radios. I thought about Flashing back to complete Stock ROM SPL, etc. That way I could never get any problems with the warranty etc. I will try it when I find time.
I tried on the stock ROM and sadly everytime Android would go through the initial boot it would just display some text in the top left, then stop, then the text would slowly "fade" from bottom right to top left and the backlight of the screen remains lit but the phone hangs with nothing displayed
I've now put on the phone:
Windows Mobile ROM: Elegancia E-CHT ROM
Android Version: Mattc Leo + Froyo w/Sense
Radio: 2.11.50.20
I've put a shortcut to CLRAD.exe and HaRAT.exe on my home screen on WinMo. Now I can use Windows Mobile for stability and battery life and working Wi-Fi Tethering etc, but can boot into android for games, apps, smooth interface and most of all, bragging rights(can now ram it into my friends with iPhones faces)
While i'm here now i've changed my set up completely, i'll explain what its like
With this set up, i've found the phone is some wait smoother, the screen still freezes but not for as long as before.
I've found sometimes the interface can sometimes be slightly sluggish but not enough to be a problem
I've called speaking clock and the voice was very clear
Overall very happy and now have the best of Android and the best of Windows Mobile
On my normal WinMo Rom I've used for quite some time now (some weeks before trying the first Android build) everything runs without freezes etc. So far 1 SOD and 2 freezes without a visible reason. And I'm running mainly Android for 5 weeks now. So it seems I was quite lucky to have an Android compatible ROM without having to flash some stripped down ROM. The only thing I'm missing in my ROM are fast boot times but those can be improved by disabling Sense.
I use stock ROM 1.66 ELL but Radio changed to 2.12 (with stock radio didn't work)
I have tried several Android builds and all works as supposed to work.
I have been testing all the Android versions using stock 1.66 WWE (just updated radio) with no problems at all. I have never used a custom WM ROM on my HD2, and have found Android to be on a par with what others have reported. Now running Mattc + Froyo w/Sense 1.6b with no problems so far.
I use stock ROM SVE 1.66 but radio changed to 2.10. I have been testing several builds and they all have worked ok.
The best build for me has been: darkstone HD2Froyo V2.1.
well, i have 1.48 wwe stock rom, never had any issues with any of the android builds...only changed my radio to 2.08.50..
i suggest darkstone's builds..either the hd2froyo or the froyostone series......no issues whatsoever
Yeah maybe it was my combination of radio/build. I'm now using the Mattc Leo Froyo build and the Elegencia ROM and isn't too different from the stock ROM and has most of the apps still installed
No problems running on stock tmoble 1.72 rom just had to update radio to one ending in 50
I’m a newbie at this so apologies if I confuse rather than help.
I bought my HD2 off eBay so don’t know if it’s been flashed or not. I didn’t attempt to flash or change the radio version myself just in case I brick it!! I scared like that
I am currently using ShubCRAFT 1.4d_1GB (hard reset and switched Sense off in WM for quicker boot) and it works perfectly, good battery life and fast .
WM Software details:
OS version: 5.2.2189
Manila version: 2.5.20113626.0
ROM version: Miri HD2 ROM – V4.0 WWE
Radio version: 2.07.50.27_2
To answer your question, and given the above are the standard versions, yes you can run android on ur standard HTC HD2 thanks to the awesome developers.
I am using a windows mobile stock ROM (1.66.405.2) with radio version 2.12.50.02 and mattc leo + froyo w/sense 1.6b Kernel: michyprima 2.6.32.9 #70. I have had no problems with wifi, 3g, sound, or calls. Everything works fine and pretty good battery life and quite stable.

Yours isn't a stock ROM! You have bought your HD2 with a flashed ROM on it.

Im using these and my android is running smoothly. However if your going to use android 10% i reccomend one of the stripped winmo roms made for using android only.
I am using radio 2.11.50.26 , have tried every else possiblle, but non of them is so lite on battery usage as 2.11.
Keep in mind that radio is country ( mobile network provider ) dependent.
So 2.11 might work for me but not for you.
Regarding ROM, I dont think that WINMO ROM plays a key factor when using android.

I think the radio is more of a regional thing, may be different for EU, USA, China, or if you phone is locked in to a provider (T-mobile)
If you enter your serial number at the HTC site, the ROM they give you should be suitable for your phone, it worked for me and was the easiest thing to do ;-)

[Q] what will happen if frequently changing the rom of hd2

hi htc hd2 users...i love my hd2..first the stock rom was installed in it..i felt some few bugs in stock rom n i tried energy rom after seeing good reviews for it..once i installed energy rom..i found having hanging issues or freezing issues..well i didnt know whats the reason for it...so again i formatted or uninstalled energy rom n installed the ols stock rom itself...now again i found another one rom named as cleanEX RV Ultra 1.01 ..its great n its compatible with my hd2 version...n i am running on it only..today i saw a tmobile updated official rom of 3.14 n i am plannin to install it..but i am scared what ll happen if frequently changing the rom...whether it ll affect my hd2 or cause any damage etc etc
thanks for the reply..
phone-T-mobile htc hd2
Os version-21913
Rom version- cleanEX RV Ultra 1.01
Radio version-2.08.50.08_2
nothing will happen
Just remember to run task29 before you flash your new rom
I have my device now for about 15 mounts, and in the meal wile I have install more than 70 Rom's on it without any problems.
The most important is not how much Rom versions you will install but eater if you would do it correctly.
Why don't you put HSPL3 2.08HSPL and MAGLDR1.13 on it so you can have Android on NAND, Windows Phone 7, hah? . . . now we're talking
Like kurt-willems, my HD2 is like 15 months old, I´m a flashaholic since other devices in the past. I think I flashed roughly 50 custom ROMs (plus some stock ROM flashes before task29 was possible with stand-alone apps).
It is being said that the memory chip technology which stores the OS ROM can be at least re-written 1000 times. I don´t think I will still use the HD2 in 20 years.
Maybe, I´ll keep it as a souvenir as one of the greatest smartphones in the early 2000´s. And at least 1 ROM of each OS on an SD... just for fun, hehe...
I couldn't really remembered how many ROM flashing i've had done since my Dopod 838 Pro, TyTN II, Touch Pro, Touch Pro2, Snap and now HD2, nothings bad happened. So the point is, it's safe as long as You do by the rule Sir. Go a head, You can do more than just that, Cheers

Bro, your avatar is the same with the signature of Bro Tictac (above your post )
I have been flashing my HD2 for 13 months and I tried almost all wwe roms available in XDA and HTC Pedia. But I think it still below 1000 times.
And when it reaches 1000 times and something happen with my HD2, I will not regret it because HD2 is the best phone ever made by HTC
Cheers....
PS. Win, sudah berhasil dual boot nya?

Since you are running a custom ROM, then you alread have HSPL running. I would go into BootLoader Mode to confirm that the SPL is 2.08.HSPL
Your RADIO is fine (although there are a few updated verions 2.12.50 and the 2.15.50 are the more popular).
Once all that is done then you are able to go into the Android NAND ROM Flashing.

[q] htc hd2 wwe asia_india version help

I did the hardspl to my hd2 to see if i could fix the no sound issue on my hd2. Tryied numorous android roms. No luck. I loaded nexus one and i get no sound. I changed stock roms and radios. I dont know what else to do. My friend had a tmobile us version and his works fine.
Feedback please thanx
Gotta be hardware fault if it happens on all roms. Go back to stock, if its the same then its deff hardware.
my hd2 works fine with the stock rom. was just trying to find an android that will work with my phone.
im using 3.14.720.3 (04666) WWE
radio: 2.15.50.14
i have used other radios but no luck.

Change HD2 with TMOUS HD2?

I will change my HD2 with TMOUS HD2 one. What do you think about that? I am from Eastern Europe, is this a problem?
Is there enough Android and WM6.5 ROMs for T-Mobile version.
Is it worth the whole, this change?
512MB ROM more
Yes it is worth the change as just about all, if not all, Android ROMs will run on the TMOUS. And most custom ROMs now are based on the 3.14 stock TMOUS ROM. I absolutely love my TMOUS. Just remember you can not flash a 2.04.50.xx, 2.05.50.xx, or any x.xx.51.xx radio to the TMOUS or you will brick the phone. So never ever flash a non T-Mobile stock ROM to it. Also do not flash the 2.01 ROM in the T-Mobile HTC HD2 test and stock ROM thread here on XDA to it as it has a 2.05.50.11 radio and will brick a TMOUS.
Are the Android builds for T-Mobile HD2 better than regular HD2?

You must know more about it then mecause I am notaware of any Android ROM that is spacificaly for the TMOUS. If it is please pointmy tothem and I will try them out. I currently am using Hyperdroid on my TMOUS and it is great. I went withHyperdroidas I did stood bit of reasearching on the Android ROMs and thought Hyperdriid sounded best to me, now that was just my opinion not a definitive statement. I have a link to it in my sig if youwantto check it out. Nowasfor your question most of the Android ROMs run great on the TMOUS fromwhat Ihave read. I am also member of the T-Mobile forums and every one therethathas went NAND Android loves any Android ROM they try.
