I have tried to boot the android on my hd2 but no luck. I currently have the 3.14 stock ROM. can anyone help please.
You have to be more specific,
What Radio do you have ? (Since you're using 3.14 I assume it's 2.15 )
Which build are you trying to boot ?
What happens or what stops you from booting ? (what's the problem ?)
It does work with 3.14, as that comes a suitable radio, which is the only important factor. It may be your sd card that is at fault.
What size, class and make is your card?

Thanks guys
Okay, there is nothing wrong with that setup. Can you tell us what you did to try Android and what happened?

i download the android build (coredroid) made a folder called (android) copied it to my sd card ROOT. went to my phone and click file explorer, hit cld, hit haret..... wait and nothing but a blank screen with HTC logo in the middle. i waited for as long as I can but no luck. I even left it last night all night like that.
hmm im having the exact same issue.. odd odd
Radio v. 2.08.50.08_2
rom v. 2.10.531.1
Check startup.txt and make sure it has Android as the path. I don’t know why, but some of them don’t.
If that's okay then either try a different build or ask on the thread where you downloaded it.

Over last few days, have download several SD builds of Android.
I Copy the android folder to root of SD card
I start the phone in Windows Mobile
I run CLRCAD
I run HARET
I get the grey window about starting/booting (cant remember exact, head spinning)
then get black screen with small writing
then get HTC splash screen and thats it.
each build I have tried, have left at boot screen from 60 to 90 minutes.
Now, 6 months ago with earlier version of Energy ROM, and different radio, I could load earlier version of SD Android.
Today I had a friend around, with an older radio and the same earlier version of energy rom that I used to have, and still no go on his.
What is happening (or not).
Do I need to have an EXT2/2/4 partition on my SD Card?
Something more simple??
Ideally, I wanted to try a Desire HD Sense ROM.

Have you tried putting a blank data.img file on the sd card before the boot?
If not try that, they are usually available from the first post in the builds thread.
A few I tried wouldn't boot the first time unless I put that file in there.
I'm guessing it won't help, because some (if not all) of those builds can create a blank one for you, but it won't hurt to try.
This is the one from MDJ's 4.6 build you have tried. The link is from his thread. Extract the file using 7zip and stick it in the android folder.

There's no need for partitioning or any kind of fancy stuff for running a simple WinMo6.5/Android dualboot. I suppose formatting your SD card (do it in WinMo, seems to be more effective) should solve your problems.
@MattOG: The data.img helps shortening the first boot time, I've never heard it actually fixes problems?

Hope so, 8gig card with just the android folder
ok thats not it then........
The only thing I can think to suggest is to try a different WM ROM... see if you can find the energy rom you used before from the energy archives....
It's my thought process. Did I offend your eyes?

SPL-2.0.8.HSPL...used to flash hspl 4.
Memory card Sandisk SDHC 8gb, class 4.
And tried well about 5 different android roms and nothing, tried different images, 500mb,1gb,2gb same result...cant load, freezes at htc logo...so whats the feeking problem?
No one knows whats the problem?

Hey all, i have searched XDA and google but cannot find anything relating to my issue!
I have installed MAGLDR 1.3 and the clockwork recover mod tool.
Im running HSPL 2.08 - i have tried to install V3 but it only gives option for 2.08? I have used a suggested radio and installed the ultimate android rom.
Now the problem is that 5 times out of ten on boot up it sits at the MAGLDR menu with "gogogo" but it doesnt gogogo... Also it regularly freezes when doing anything intense! I suspect is related to the SD interface? I say this because copying any large files to the SD results in a timesout! i have tried the SD in other devices all works fine! I have tried several SD types and sizes all with same result!
Anybody have any suggestions? I dont believe its the rom becasue like i said booting up in MAGLDR results in freezes! PS i ahve Task29 and tried diff Radios..
Hope somebody can help
Thanks guys.
I suggest that you try reformatting your SD Card. Also it has been noted here that some SD cards don't work very well. Search for which. Then try installing Clockwork Recovery Mod. This will allow you to format the Nand to different sizes depending on the Phone you are using. The European HD2 LEO has a 512 Nand while the TMOBIUS American version is 1024. You can't install a nand that is intended for the American phone on the EU version. But you can install the smaller EU version on an American phone.
There is a lot to learn so search all of the different forums and all of the answers will be there.
Do not expect the answers to be spelled out easily. These people in these forums are mostly geeks who could care less whether you are a newby or not. Sink or swim.
Does your phone say T-Mobile on it?
Did u format your sdcard?

You should be in the Q & A forum, not this one.
Make sure you use 2.15 radio, and try a smaller rom like jan-willem3's MIUI as that does not rely on the SD card for data by default.
I just baught and HTC HD2, and i Install on it a New Version of the Radio, 2.15, the HSPL2 2.08, and i changed the ROM, i want to run Android but i can't, i select the files CLCAD and HARET but it runs a black screen with letters, then a HTC logo, and it doesn't move from that, i already tried with 2 versions, and nothing.
This are the ones that i tried.

Damn sorry thought that would work for sure. Have you tried making a backup of your SD card and then reformating it using Fat 32?

I just tried it and nothing, i tried with another SD Card of 1gb, and the same problem
Start over from the beginning. If you aborted a first boot of android then your left with a corrupt data.img which will never boot.
You do not need a 3.14 rom to run android.
Redownload the build you want. Make sure you follow the instructions in the rom thread.
Boot to the HTC screen you saw before and wait... it make take more than 30 minutes.
If you need to stop it halfway through then make sure you delete any data.img that is in your android folder.

A 1GB card is too small.
If it tries to create a 1GB data.img then you will run out of space.

I have the same issue.
Although I've waiting quite a while the first time ( maybe not long enough?) I'm testing now again. How long exactly are we talking about? 10/15minutes or longer?
Just the green HTC logo and nothing happens...
Also formatted SD card first...

I've seen builds that take up to 45min to boot if they are creating a 1GB data.img from scratch.

I think your problem is you really need to update you software. Go here: http://www.t-mobile.com/wmupgrade/, select the HTC HD2 and download the 3.14.531.1 version. Then since your using the SD installation, I suggest this rom here: http://androidadvices.com/htc-hd2-steps-to-install-android-2-3-gingerbread-os/. N.B - I used the 1Gb img file for best results (for me). Updating your software as I said earlier will definitely fix your problem because for sd installation it is always recommended to have at least 2.15 rom version but 3.14.531 will be better. Good luck.

Just so you know it does not matter, Windows Mobile ROM you have on your HD2 if you flash a NAND Android ROM. When you flash MAGLDR or cLK to your HD2 it removes what ever Windows Mobile ROM you have and installs MAGLDR or cLK ,which ever bootloader you chose, to the same area or ROM partition of the NAND memory. The only time it mattersWindows Mobile ROM you use as far as Android is concered is when you use a Android SD card build.

Where can I find an explanation of why the Windows Mobile ROM matters when doing the Android SD card build? Does it only matter upon the bootup before you load haret, or is Windows Mobile still loaded even after launching Haret?
